Hello all, I'm Aaarrrggg!  ;D

I'm 28, fem and I live with my boyf Deathstroke (obviously not his real name...however much he might want it to be :)) in S England, but we'll be moving to the USA soon... can't stand this weather! :D

I'm a cartoonist/animator/Flash designer by trade and I've always liked drawing monsters... so you can imagine how stoked I am about Spore! :D

Here's one of my Flash creations (I plugged this in another thread but I guess its relevant here too!)
http://www.theshadowfang.uwclub.net/splicer/splicer.html

When we're not Sporing Deathstroke and I are working on a new flash site that will hopefully appeal to fellow Sporians, but its hush hush at the moment ;D

That about sums me up... Ooo thereís our dogs too, 2 Chihuahuas, a Chinese Crested (the one that was featured hehe) and a Boston Terrier... and my beloved reef aquarium (I'm Aaarrrggg on the ReefCentral forums if anyone happens to go there too)

So... Hello! Seems like a nice community you have here... glad to be a part of it ;D

Edit:  I guess I should mention my Buras Tribes too. You might have spotted them taking over the Sporepedia... I gotta fever, and the only prescription is more Buras!

PS: Do I need to have a certain post count to be able to reply to private msgs?  I've received a couple and feel rude for not being able to answer.  Thankies! :D

Wow thatís weird that you've been there before Petreak!  Its a small internet hehe ;D

I can't remember exactly how long it took; it was a few years ago now... a month or so maybe?  Its still one of the most enjoyable things I've ever drawn, the coding was a pain though, I wasn't as good back then and I took quite a few long ways round hehe

Great spliced critters Hydromancerx!  Really awesome recreations! Iím enjoying my romp around your sporepedia atm, you have some great critters! :D

Spore: General / Re: Creature Creator Wants and Suggestions

I'm afraid I haven't read through the other suggestions because I wanted to get mine down before I forgot them... sorry if thereís repeats! :)

Creature Creator Parts:
- Glowing bits, like firefly and angler fish bulbs.  I know you can make things that look a bit like that with the right paint, but it would be awesome if they actually had dynamic lighting
- Cartoony hands with pointed claws.  There are cartoon hands with rounded off claws or more realistic hands with sharp claws, but nothing in between that has thumbs
- Wider, bushier grass so you can mix it in with the existing thin grass
- Extra toggle on the flower so you can make the stalk longer.  Ability to make the flower smaller would be handy too
- Tulip flower shape, more flowers in general would be cool
- Feline/Canine noses that look black and shiny
- Octopus eyes with + shaped pupil
- Eyes with glowy looking pupil... like putting a heycorn in an eye, but without having to do that, then the babies would have them too!
- Heck what about eyes that actually glow?  Like Elves in WoW
- Slightly transparent bubbles would be cool.  Then you could have space helmets and goldfish bowls (if you wanted too hehe)
- A simple, cheap ball shape would be awesome.  You could use it to build up the body, like adding cheeks.  If it could soak up the paint work of the body like a retracted maceball
- Fur would be awesome, although I know thatís a bit much to ask for!  How about something like the hairlagmites but a bit smoother and doesn't dull the colours so much
- Chameleon eyes; I know you can use bits to recreate them (see avatar hehe) but actual eyes on turrets that swivelled about would kick ass :D
- More feline/canine/rodent mouths
- Eyes with bigger pupils, like dog eyes

I'll be back when I think of more!
Great thread!  ;D

No idea. ??? I had my Chinese Crested Dog randomly featured the other day, it was a such a surprise!

I've noticed they seem to favour newer creatures, if you look at their DOBs they're often uploaded a day or 2 before the feature.  My dog was uploaded a couple of days before I think, if not the day before.  I had posted a link/picture of him in the official community showcase forum and in totalspore the night before, but I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.

Some of the first creatures I made on the CC were ones from the splicer
