make sure you've actually given it some way of moving, like the little fins or something.

it wouldn't be the stupidest mistake anyones ever done.

one guy forgot to give his crit eyes in creature stage and was then confused when he couldn't see anything. these things happen.

You can still see in creature stage without eyes. It just becomes much darker and desaturated.

Zealots aren't really a problem for me - there's far more economists and ecological guys than Spode-worshippers in my galaxy.

What graphics card do you have? If it's not the GMA X3100, then it may be that your macbook isn't good enough. Also, make sure you turn option-click functionality on in System Preferences - it might be something to do with that.

O.K, so The followers of spode are like the Anti-Grox. They hate the grox more than anyone as they conflict with their prophecy and the grox's beleifs. You would imagine this would make them perfect allies for you to have but no. The followers of Spode are often the first major enemies players will come accross.

so what i'm asking is. is it possible to convert and become a follower of spode? i want to join them officially but i can't find a way.

Have a religious philosophy.

T3's don't change at all, T2's do a bit, T1's do quite a lot, and T0's absolutely tonnes.

I just got a tonne of health packs and powered through without stopping, I got there pretty easily. I turned off autofire too, so I wouldn't be at war with them,

I used my zealot power, and now i "broke the galactic code"...

In the grim darkness of the 40th millenium, there is only war.  :)

Yeah, it sure would be nice to know you are about to commit a heinous crime against galactic standards you didn't even know existed, eh?

Personally, I serve them the old fashioned way - searing hot laser.  I haven't really used specials to bring an end to the pathetic fools who stand against me.

For me it's always laser, or using volcanoes for bombs >_>

I'm going to rely a story I had in the Civ Phase today.

There was this epic living out side the city of a neighbor. It was far enough away from the city that it should be fine. I start trading with the city and buy it out. 'Lo and behold, the Epic starts terrorizing the city... destroying all buildings and wreaking havoc. So I sell everything. There is only the town hall left. The epic, for nearly the rest of the game, is attacking this town hall because it cannot destroy it. Eventually it winds up inside the city walls. Oh great.. even if I do buy a military city, that makes fighting it that much harder. So I leave it alone for awhile as it continually pounds this city. Eventually I get tired of it and tired of sitting on my gobs and gobs of money and having a wasted city. Since the Epic is focusing on the Town Hall which can't be destroyed, I build two houses the farthest away from it I can. They survive. I say to myself awesome, I can build a few more economic units. So my with my gobs of money.. I decide it's time to rid myself of this thing. I place 4 turrets on my city walls and watch as they turn to engage the epic. He fires at one and halves it's life. I go to the city planner and sell it for 1000$ credits. I place another. I keep doing this until eventually the epic lays dead in the center of the city done in by measly turrets that die in 2 hits. I was able to do this because the player controls the balance. I could pause, zoom, build, at will. I could do this in my cities if I wanted to micromanage and make sure I'd never lose a city (if I had the money). It was kind of rewarding to fell this nuisance who kept attacking this village as if it was a replica of Tokyo from a Godzilla movie.

Being a completely Economic race can present some problems, such as your inability to deal with Epics.

Same happened to me, but I didn't manage to kill it >_>

I forgot another one:

  • Somehow, my empire color turned from cyan to yellow.
Same, though mine was Blue --> Yellow.

Being slaughtered in Space? Just ignore it. You can't lose your homeplanet (if all the cities are destroyed, a new one is created), so you can just go off and do missions to get enough money to buy the weapons and techs required to defend yourself.

If they're ally points are 200+ you can buy them for one step lower. So you can get T3 systems for 5 mill

I'm pretty sure I'm only around 150 with the guy I bought if off.

Ignore them. You'll lose all your colonies, but ah well. You can't lose your homeplanet.

So run away to a friendly empire, and do missions for them for a while - balance ecosystems, abduct tribes, etc. You'll make a lot of money if you find a decent empire (I got paid 250k once to just put a carnivore on a planet), and you'll be able to afford better weapons, more health, etc. etc. Return after maybe an hour - you'll find them ridiculously weak, and use your laser to take their colonies one by one, and eventually they'll surrender.

I had two incredibly aggressive empires after me at the start of space - I followed this tactic, and I came out on top easily.

there's a badge for having trade routes and you cant just cancel one nad re do it somewhere else for credits, so you have to buy a lot of systems.

You can't have more than 3.

You get a relationship bonus.

If you want to go the cheapeast buyout (1 million) go for a t0 planet, as the t scores go up so does the price:

t3 = 10 mill
t2= 5 mill
t1 =3 mill
t0 =1 mill

...I bought a t2 for 500k.

So anyone else have the footprints I posted a bit back or am I the only one so far??

Nope. My homeplanet is absolutely covered in giant skeletons, but I've seen no footprints.

I played RRRR, and it was fine. I had two agressive races near me, but I befriended one without too much hastle, and wiped the other one out after spending an hour or so away training elsewhere in the galaxy, doing missions and such.
