Console Games / Re: Halo 3 vs Halo 2

I have Halo 1 on PC, and multiplayer is still somewhat active, there are still a few clans circulating and whatnot.
I've been trying to get into it, as my XBox is down this weekend and i'm dying for some Halo, so if anyone wants to play im up for it...

Yeah, most people think that Halo 1 was the best, and i'm in almost complete agreement.
But still, Halo 2's multiplayer was amazing.
Maybe im at odds here because all i play in Halo is MLG, and i just think that Halo 2 was better suited for it.

True Halo is all about the multiplayer, but i'm not in complete agreement that Halo 3's is better than Halo 2's.
A lot of people say that Halo 3 takes more skill, this much is true.
Halo 3 has far less dominating glitches, such as BXB or BXR from Halo 2, and there's no sweep sniping or things of that nature.
Halo 3 is all about steady BRs and great teamwork.
Still, Halo 2's multiplayer was just fun.
Sure, there weren't many ways to customize it, and the glitches allowed a lack of teamwork to be okay, but it was still an amazing experience.
Just the whole feel of the game was great, not to mention the incredible maps such as Midship, Lockdown, and any of the other MLG maps.

Halo 3 just feels a bit wrong.

I've been playing a lot of Halo 3 lately, mainly MLG.
Still, Halo 2 was such an amazing game i can't help feeling a bit nostalgic.
Sure the graphics suck now, the physics engine wasn't as clean, and true there were a lot of glitches.
But the gameplay was far better.
The maps were amazing, there is no halo 3 map that even comes close to midship or the real lockdown.
Even though Bungie is remaking several maps, i doubt that they'll be anywhere close to the originals.
Plus, the number of ridiculous weapons and broken playlists, such as the Gravity Hammer, Flamethrower, and Doubles Oddball on the Pit make the game quite frustrating at times, even to those of us who mainly play MLG.

Is anyone else with me here?

Unreal Tournament 3, Oblivion, and Company of Heroes.

Perhaps you should try Googling for the solution, it might be faster than asking it here.
Either way, the masses on the interweb believe that your problem lies in either: A) A faulty DVD Drive. Or  B) A worn out eye, or the thing that reads the disks and whatnot.
After around 10 minutes of researching this, I'd say you have to send it in for repairs.
I could be wrong though...

Yes, I have that video set on loop when i'm playing...

Yeah I do that sometimes when I think about it as well....
I haven't actually played more than 5 matches on, mainly because I usually get raped 30 times in the first 4 minutes, so is it actually worth it?

You know, a lot of people said that it's not worth the $10 to get the full creature creator when the actual game will have it. Others argue that the CC must be 1/5 of the game if it costs $10. Well. All those people are wrong.
The full CC is possibly one of the most godly wastes of my time that I have found in a long time. If you only have the demo, drop the $10 for the full one. It is worth it.

-Hopefully there is no post on this already, I couldn't find one...-
Warcraft 3 is pretty old, but I was wondering if anyone plays DoTA, or Defense of the Ancients, which is an insanely popular mod for W3: The Frozen Throne.
I was recently introduced to it, and have been totally addicted for around 2 weeks.
So I figured I might as well try and find some other people who played it...

As I said, you can still convert, even after death

Then this life is worthless?  It's not even a test of your soul/conscience/faith?  It's basically a gigantic machine with the sole purpose of patting god on the back for being all powerful?  because I'd like to see how such a system could be interpreted differently.

I can. This life has the same purpose all existence does: To be happy. God didn't create us to just be His slaves, He created us for companionship. We are all of us unique, capable of great things. God loves us, and He takes joy in all things we do. He wants us to write great books and paint great paintings, sing great songs and climb mountains... We are here as His children and, like any good parent, He only wants what's best for us.

Okay, i'm sorry, but what's the point of Hell then? As i said before, once you get there you'll believe in God, so does that mean you convert? Which would mean you get out of Hell with a sunburn.
And: Don't you think a supreme being would have better things to do than watch us blow each other to Hell... and then immediately get out of it and go to Heaven apparently...

If God told me to kill someone I'd commit myself to the closes mental institution. But that's kind of irrelevant at this point.

I still don't see why you get confined to Hell for not believing in God during your mortal life. Obviously, once you die and go to hell, you're going to believe in God. So what is the point of punishing you? Sure, you didn't believe in Him during your mortal life, but then again, He has never done much to convince me...

One more thing, why are you condemned to burn in Hell for the rest of eternity? Eternity? That's a pretty long time. Don't you think whoever it is would learn their lesson after the first, I dunno, month of being continuously burned alive?
