Console Games / Re: Wii Ware Games
« on: April 26, 2008, 09:01:11 pm »
1) The wii's memory is not large enough to hold more than a few wiiware games
2) Nintendo is already taking steps to prevent what they fear could happen: Wiiware being used as a dumping grounds for Indie developer's crap. Just like the wii itself. (I'm lookin' at you Gingerbreadman!)
3)I don't think there's a large enough audience for wiiware.

Really, the memory restriction's of the wii will restrict developer's to games that could just be put onto NewGrounds.

I'm that guy that when handed the bool_prop cheat, didn't unlock everything in the game and uninstall it. I used it to make great story's! I hope that for the Sims 3, they don't change too much..... I mean, the whole, open-world thing might be a big change, what if I want to concentrate on Joe Blogs and there's a fire down the street? Will he run off? Actually, that could be cool....

Huh, didn't know. Maybe if I scrounge up enough money to get a gaming computer I'll get it. But otherwise....... It's the 360 for me.

I'm not sure about this one, the 8-ball is cloudy, and this game doesn't actually have Tom Clancy working on it. So the plot is....

I have this adapter thing which might work.  I'll try it out once I've bought the console.
Yeah, my TV doesn't have those Red and Yellow things, but I have an adapter that lets me use them. You can pick 'em up for cheap.

And yeah, Definitely get a 360, it's the best on the market, and it's online service is the best in the industry.

if Halo 3 were a woman I would make sweet love to it.

Halo 3 would have higher standards. ;)

Owned in so many ways.  :D

Seriosuly though, you think some games woulda sold better. Like Orange Box.
If Halo 3 were a drainpipe I'd still make love to it.

No, the Orange Box shouldn't have sold more. It didn't have as much hype or marketing. And it had a crappy cover.

It's obvious that Call of Duty 4 sold more, that's because it's counting how many games it's sold on all systems. Whereas Halo 3 is only on one system. And it's still number 2. Because it's brilliant.

Er, shouldn't this be in the Console Section? It is a 360 game.

Yea, I'm still wondering how the scarring system will work out. I mean, getting 'killed', knocking you out while the baddies are still attacking you and you'll be left with a few scars. I'm hoping for perm limping and stuff, cut out eyes and stuff like that. Not horror style, but more like how they did it with your sister in Fable 1.
They've cut out the permanent scarring system, because they found that Testers didn't want to play a game with consequences. Whenever they died, or ,"scarred," they restarted their system.

They'll never stop making these Expansion packs... That is until the Sims 3 comes out.

Personnaly, I don't like both the DS and PSP that much. I have both, but I don't play them at all.
I'm tired of seeing terrible, "3D" graphics on the DS, in fact, the only title I really love on it is Rocket Slime.
The PSP has picked up speed with the amount of support developers are giving it, but it't titles still don't appeal to me.

Maybe it's me, maybe it's them, but I don't think I'll be picking up games for them for a long while.
