I'm quite glad that it didn't become a big hit, because that would have legitimized the decisions they made to appeal to the mass market, which certainly didn't work.

Hopefully any new iterations of the game will be more like we expected.

And the spore galaxy is also not a very accurate representation of our galaxy... it being a lateral plane about one star thick.

I have to agree with the other people in this thread- seeing your own creations is amazing!  My very first game, during creature stage, I got attacked by an epic of the first creature I ever made with the CC ([edit] Just so happens, the creature that is my avatar), and it made my day!

One thing I don't like- the fact that I have a very high chance of failing my classes this year...

WALL-E has absolutely nothing to do with global warming, so that can all stop.  It's over-consumption creating waste and pollution that makes Earth inhospitable for life- that's why WALL-E robots are there to clean up the mess. 

But I guess you shouldn't see it if you're afraid of being told that your presence can have a negative effect on the planet based on the way we choose to live our lives and consume resources. 

I think the movie gives a great message- the Earth is fragile and should be cherished, not exploited and taken for granted.

Just saw the midnight showing of this.  Fantastic, I really couldn't stop smiling.  Except when you realize that it's a very possible future for our planet...

But you can always count on the D/P team to bring home a great one.

The game chooses content that will fit into a balanced ecosystem for your game, so stop worrying about creatures that'll be too powerful- those will be the rarest creatures.  Those little hoppy guys, on the other hand...

Well we know that there are difficulty levels you choose at the beginning, so perhaps planet size is part of that?  The harder difficulty level, the larger the planet (along with other features like AI, etc.).

I believe that's fairly old promotional art they just used, am I right?  I doubt they'd use something like that for a cover.  Way too specific cover for such a broad game.

Like someone else pointed out earlier, the way creatures walk worries me.  Remember the care bear back in '05, how it waddled as it walked? Those two-legged creatures in tribal seemed to glide and their legs just extended underneath them.  I thought they had fixed that a little when we saw that winged creature and the first epic, but it seems it's reverted back to unnatural movement...

The first two look like they are actual plants, while the second could be buildings.  Like someone said earlier somewhere, you can tell by the ground texture:  the real plants have green ground, while the buildings don't.

I like expansions when they expand a completed game that was published.

I don't like it when companies take stuff out of a game solely for the purpose of selling it back to you after the game is released.
