Spore: Creation Corner / Creature development with Camdagh

I've got a working scanner now, so now I mean business! These are some creature races I've been thinking of sharing with you folks; tell me which ones you find most interesting right off the bat. I'll keep updating for whichever creature has the most votes.

The Odyssians: A highly advanced race of explorers and great scientific minds, their belief center is based around concrete evidence, and they'll hardly believe a thing they haven't seen themselves. Their greatest flaws are their know-it-all and braggart natures. Their favorite activities are trading with alien cultures, and trying new food and experiences.

The Urbanites: An insectoid race, they have a penchant for large hive communities, and make the best out of what little land they have. They are diligent workers and have great technical minds, but they seem rather dull and uncreative. They are difficult to truly get to know. Few have mastered their language, which includes various clicks, hisses, and hand gestures.

The Why: A genetically engineered race- sexless, brain-dead, and seemingly joyless. They roam the planet of What, warring with one another for all eternity. The Pyramids are fighting the Cubes, who are fighting the Spheres, and so forth. They absorb plant matter, chunks of trees, and even one another(The few living creatures left on planet What) for sustenance. To reproduce, they swell up and split in two.

The Mermins: The Mermins are a very kind and social race, amphibious in nature. They Are not as technologically advanced as the Urbanites or Odyssians, but they tend to enjoy the arts much more than science. They are primarily herbivores, but also eat fish on occasion. Their underwater structures are a sight to behold, and their war machines look like something out of a child's playthings.

The Herculons: The large, cyclopean Herculons are somewhat industrial, and enjoy utilizing their great strength to build giant stone structures. They are still considered tribal to many. Social status is determined by the size and style of horn ingrown into their skulls. When they are young, they use a special salve to cement a horn to the head, apply weights, and wait for the growing cranium to encapsulate it, until it is firmly in place.

You're banned for having a ufo that is actually not that cool looking. False advertising!

Flung into the empty void of outer space with a space suit, with a century's supply of oxygen, bland space crackers, and water. A suitably boring death for such a boring looking user.

These are some pretty good cookies. Too bad they've raised my cholesterol count significantly.

I wish my car was so efficient that it could run millions of miles on just a handful of banana peels and used condoms.

I am bringing my next message by PM.
To stop this madness. Sorry Camdagh.  :-\
Don't sweat it, it's all for fun. I'm not worried about the layout of my thread or anything.

I just use a mouse, which acts all wonky because the sensitivity is turned way up. I don't do so well with tablets, actually, but I should get more practice with them. Any kind of creature in particular anyone wants to see?

Seeing these playdough/sculpture type threads is always refreshing, I want to see more of these- specifically, big, lumbering mammoth type creatures.

Get whatever supplies are salvagable from the escape pod and scout the surrounding area for life.

I curse myself for only being able to bring this laser rifle with me from the prison planet, but it cannot be helped. Few have escaped, even fewer with proper provisions. The pod will remain here, in case I need it; I don't want to weigh myself down as I scout the area. I'm already fatigued from the voyage.

The ground is covered in red weeds, and small clouds made of a lighter gas float just above me. The weeds stretch out as far as I can see, before they are engulfed in the all-consuming smog.

Post suggestions for the character's next action. The goal of the game is survival.

The antique escape pod had suceeded in transporting me from the hellish prison planet, Galatica 7. Now the ordeal is to survive this new red planet. The atmosphere is breathable, hopefully there will be something to eat as well. I'm starved. Looks like the only way to go is forward. Too bad I can't see very far with all this green smog.
