My cousin and his friends are working to remake the game the way it was when it first came out. From what I hear it was great back then, and then they came in and made it just like any other MMO out there.

Apparently if you set it to 0 then they won't attack at all. That is.. if I'm reading this right..

I don't even have the game yet, but from what I've heard, it seems like this would end most of the Space Phase arguments. I just want to know how to do it so I'm prepared if its as bad as its made out to be.

It looks like they actually got somewhere with those mods; enough to actually decrease the attack frequency to a couple hours. Can anyone make sense of their mumbo jumbo and put together a good tutorial about it?

Bungie had what.. Like 100+ Terrabytes of storage for Halo 3? I'm sure Maxis/EA would be fine with storage, especially since the files are so small.

A new slider to determine how deep or shallow the part will be merged with the body. It'd be like a handle, and when you pushed it toward the body, the part would merge deeper into it, and when you pulled away from the body, the part would pull away from it.

Only problem is that the pictures are only showing up for half my creatures.

I can't see the larger picture there if that's what your talking about, and the picture on the thumbnail just gives the standard blank.gif.

Hah, wow I'm stupid. I didn't know comments had to be approved before they were shown on your creature's page. I was searching around everywhere for them... Finally found out how though. Thanks for the comments, I'll take a look at yours and give feedback.

I've got the CC for the whole night, so one or two creatures should be here tomorrow.

The scaling thing's pretty sweet. I'd be nice to have a feature like that in the CC itself, just to give a bit more realism to your creations. Great job.

I'm really hoping this doesn't constitute as a bump or double post or anything else as the last one was from just about a month ago..

But anyways, I have a few more creatures to show off. Some I've uploaded, some I havn't. These are by no means all of them; I have many more half creatures and unfinished projects that I just can't think of how to finish. Usually these designs go into future creatures though so all isn't lost.

I redid my Kieden, and I'm thinking this is the version I'll use in the final game.


Sporepedia
Kieden are a bipedial, omniverous species who just recently ascended to a high level of intellect. The spine and plumage on it's forearm are mainly used in dominance fights, while the cilia on it's legs serve as a sence of hearing and 3D perception.

I could think of so much more backstory, but I just don't know what to do with it.


My entry to the workhorse challenge, the Griecan.

Upon attaining world domination, the Kieden captured, tamed, and outfitted these Griecan with new robotic legs and multi-task forearm attatchments. Griecan, in their wild form, have incredibely powerful legs, so the upgrades were needed to inhibit jumping and keep the on task. Griecan were chosen for their single-mindedness and obedience to a given task. One would rather give it's life than leave it's task unfinished. This specimen has been outfitted with an Onyx fed crystalline cannon to serve in the defence forces.


Lol, and for kicks, I tried my hand at a Hunter from the Half Life series. It turned out alright, not the best I've done...

That's about it for now. Like I said before, I've got limited access to a computer with the CC on it so making creatures is a once and a while thing. Hoping for more comments this time around, bad or not..
