Everything Else / Re: 2016 Election
« on: May 16, 2017, 08:40:08 pm »
That's just how I get through the day. Gotta do it right.

Big picture? I need help. I'm not confident and I'm not brave. If other people aren't going to put skin in the game with me, I won't play. Gotten burned too many times by jive talking losers that flake out as soon as things get real, leaving me to take the heat. Maybe I come off as selfish. But I'm just tired of being abandoned half-way down the path and left to sort it out myself. I'll keep getting back up and dusting myself off, but I'll move forward more cautiously than before. And I'm going to call a spade a spade.

A lot of these people have a vested interest in telling us "it's going to be okay" because obviously the alternative is ruinous for everyone. But I'm not going to keep lying to myself. The world and our species are in dire straits right now and we're either going to overcome it or we'll be consumed by it. And while I see a will to overcome, I don't see critical mass. For all the ranting and raving and protests and whatever that is happening today, I don't see or feel much in the way of an effective front that will change any of these problems.

It's great that people are "waking up", as they say; however, I feel like they're waking up in time to see the grand finale. This should have been solved by the protest movements in the 60s, but we knew better and pushed that off. We got comfy and decided that it could be fixed later. And now later is here and I think it's too late, guys. We should do what we can to make our world better, but we're not going to stop the tidal wave that is already coming at us. We've got to just brace for that and hope we can come out the other side and begin to build the world our children deserve.

I'm hopeful but fully expect disaster before that hope is realized, if only because past failures are on an unstoppable course toward us. I don't know if that makes sense to any of you, but that's the feeling I have.

The mantra I say is: do it right before you do it better.

Because otherwise it is impossible to do things better.

Someday, hopefully, things will get better. That is what I want.

But I don't think it is going to happen in my lifetime. And it has to get darker before it gets lighter. Star Trek is looking more and more right each day.

just because your life didn't pan out doesn't mean you get to pass your bitterness onto the world

Also, nice try. I've been working on those problems and it's gotten a lot better. It's why you won't be seeing me much more.

The reasons I'm angry and bitter about politics is because I've been there, seen it, and studied it. Unlike you.

Who says people aren't trying to make changes? The world was in okay shape beforehand and can still be

Hahahah how do you have such ****ty thoughts when you listen to such reasonable podcasts? ;D

While I'm glad that you're connected and interested in what's happening around the world now, don't pretend like the stuff that went down when you weren't paying attention and didn't give a crap, doesn't matter. "The world was in okay shape beforehand", give me a break. You demonstrate time and time again how new you are to this. Study the history and recognize that what you're seeing today isn't anything new. The difference is that you're seeing it.

Trump is doing damage to the corpse of our country, animated with money and fear. If people wanted to do better, they would. But they don't. The "good" people you hear about are the exception to the rule. Sorry to break it to you. Most people are going to lie and cheat and do the wrong thing for even the smallest, most insignificant gain. The worship of money and the idolization of falsehoods will lead us into the grave we deserve to be in.

Unless we all start engaging with one another, we can never take the fight to the elites that need to be put in jail or executed. The bickering and heated fights we're having are the window dressing. But no, keep blindly freaking out whenever Trump looks in your general direction. Keep playing into his sick game. Keep being a retard. It's served you well so far.

Four more years of these retards flailing about and crying about Trump. I'm so ****ing ready.

I mean, since nobody is going to try to change or be better or start, let's all slide into the muck together. It's clearly what we deserve.

I am SO ****ing ready.

And then the same morons that complain about AAA games being too formulaic start trying to apply AAA development conventions to this game.

Remember... Metokur's "Internet Insanity" series is literally about crazy people on the internet. Real crazy. Not the fake kind.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcqWok8AubE  <--- WAY NSFW!!!!

Some of it is funny but a lot of it is sad and real. So don't bitch about it.

I'll even link you in a fashion that forces you to go off-site, because I'm so nice. And as Jim says: buckle the **** up.

The article lays out no proof of any of that, it just says what it says.

And have you been keeping up with this topic? This is two month old news repackaged with a clickbait title. They've begun posting exhaustive schedules and have posted internal development updates every week for years now.
