Here, ill point out acouple new things i enjoy about the game before i go and eat supper. A really cool thing is the physics engine in company of heroes, I love watching the soldiers get flung around and the destructible environments, which is another thing i really love about this game. Some things that affect gameplay that are new about this game are the amazing cover system, and a minor thing but it makes a big difference is that you can build barbwire, tanktraps and sand bags.

Sorry if i seemed alittle harsh on my last post. I thought you were just a troll, im still not sure why your saying that the game sucks and not expecting to have a long and pointless arguement(that inevitably will turn into a flame war). On a more related note, what do you think would make a great WWII game? I'm serious this time.

I usually dont like to reply to people with obviously flawed arguements, but here we go anyway. The game is called COMPANY of Heroes, not Battalion of heroes. The games battles are meant to be small compared to actual wars, you dont even have that many units on the field at one time for crying out loud "pumping out units is unrealistic" OH NO. If you put it that way everygame is sounds completely stupid. The game is also not advertised as the most realistic game out there, im looking on the box right now and im not reading anything about realism in the game, your just putting that title on the game yourself. Since your so amazing at game developement, and you know exactly what would make a amazing realistic WWII game, tell us how they should improve CoH. Finally, my last point is that its a rts game, not a WWII simulator, it seems like you think this game is supposed to replicate WWII. Don't tell me that you heard abunch of people on the gamespot forum call it amazing realistic, that means nothing.

In 1v1s early game is very important, with axis you can easily limit where your oppenent can go with barbwire, because they need 50 munitions in order to research barb wire cutters, which will delay them greatly if you use it well.

The snipers would be inside buildings. Dur.

In that case i would build a WSP, then either match your sniper with another sniper(sniper who shoots first usually wins) or with the prefered way and just get motor crews to take care of them.

hmm....if you massed snipers against me when i was (preferably) allies, you'd loose. Im not bragging, but one jeep could take on 4 snipers alone. The best thing to do in this game is get a good amount of mixed troops.
