Ummm... I love how people assume so many things. I bet you're used to assuming your customer 'wants fries with that'?

Seriously. No one has time to read EVERY post in EVERY thread. Things get overlooked. I thought I was contributing something, apparently I was not. My apologies for that, but not for posting a link while trying to help.

Well, the most recent word comes from that Colby Report thing earlier this week.

Check: http://www.hookedonspore.com/index.php/2006/12/06/behind-the-scenes-will-wright-s-interview-with-colbert.html

One of the best articles on Spore in a long. long time. Unfortunately you need to register to read it now though. :(

Odd stuff... There seem to be only two shapes, a flow like thing and a trumpet square... Not sure what the point of it is.

Hehe, yes I've been thinking about a Triffid as well. Was discussing it with a friend and found that it was high time to ship the book to him, as he had no clue what a Triffid was.

You can probably create a triffid look alike but technically, it probably will have no DNA relationship with plants whatsoever.

Ah, I can see that there are some redeeming factors here. :)

First mention of it had no link at all, second mention had scanned pages (ahum - wasn't scanning magazine pages illegal  :P )

So... first post with alink to the official digital version then?  ;D

Spore: General / Discover interview

Anyone seen this yet?

http://www.discover.com/issues/aug-06/features/willwright/

Pretty good interview with Will. Quite different from other recent interviews in that they actually dare to ask something other than the same *beep* questions everyone else has already asked about Spore. (it's mostly about Will himself)

Wow, aquaman, you must have been staring at screens and videos for hours and hours. :)

Interesting info. Wonder if that will change or if these will be the rate the game will go live with. I also wonder how much you will need to eat to get the high level stuff.

This reporter is anything but skilled, better yet, the entire site staff isn't.

Yesterday they posted 'new spore images'. Those were the same images that the official site opened up with. New indeed...

I'm afraid it really is no shield. A shield would be inside the city walls would it not? If we can all agree on that, I think this image proves that it's something in the background, most likely a gas giant. (see the red circle)

Cool shots!

They do indeed look suspiciously like infantry don't they? Sure hope so.
