Oh god, SimAnt 2 MUST happen.

I'll be praying to the Gaming Gods for that one.

<3 the Conchords! Although they actually butchered Hip-hop-opotamus vs. Rhymenocerous. Look around for an older version of it.

I'm pretty sure the gift system is where moving games from one account to another ends.

Nothing like Half-life discussions to pull me back to Gamingsteve.

I just finished Ep2. It's absolutely glorious. I don't think I've ever been hit harder emotionally by a game than in Ep2. Those who have finished it know what I mean.

And portal! PWNAGE! I played that all the way through the minute it was unlocked, and I intend to try my hand at all the challenges this weekend (finished the advanced maps already, those were good fun).

Team Fortress 2? Been playing since the beta opened, and I'll be playing for a while. Fantastic.

I love Valve. Seriously.

Console Games / Re: The Console Wars - The battle rages on

Wow, really? I had just heard about it. Yeah, I'm REALLY out of the loop. Sucked into World of Warcraft again, and even more now that I started class. I'm not even listening to any podcasts anymore. But I stopped into Gamespot for a quick look around, saw that their Lair review completely destroyed it, remembered that it was one of the games Sony was banking on, and suddenly got thrust back into my old "OMG CONSOLE WAR" mentality, which was one of my favorite things to talk about. And then I hopped into here, found a console war thread, shouted "PERFECT," and posted a link.

And then you ruined it for me.  :P

I've got to watch this later. I crapped my pants when I saw the trailer a while back.

I'm going to have to go with Sam on this one. He said it best. It's punishment. I honestly don't think destroying property that isn't really tangible, that he almost certainly had fun getting, is too harsh a punishment, especially if he knew it that sort of punishment was on the table beforehand (which he apparently did). Besides, I bet if you asked the kid, "Would you rather me delete a toon, or cancel your subscribtion for a month," he would probably go for the deletion. He still gets to play, but it's still punishment.

I'd say it's pretty reasonable.

The thing about online games is that they become addictive when someone doesn't have control over how much they play. Many people play them in moderate, healthy amounts that don't interfere with their life. That parent was teaching their child a lesson, that if they can't control their playtime, there are reprocussions.

Wow, that was ridiculous. I like the awkward "Anyway...um..." at the end by the people in his vent.

You know, normally I hate parents who interfere with their kids' time on a computer (probably because it happened to me), but this kid sounds like he had a problem.

Console Games / Re: Manhunt 2... banned in the UK!

It was banned in more than just the UK. The US too, but not by the government.

There are strange lights here in Phoenix every once in a while. Some people claim they see them very often from where they live. They form into lines and just float around. Once, they floated over the city, and thousands claimed to have seen them, and nobody, not even the air force, could explain what they were. The governor made a joke out of it, made everyone feel stupid, and people kind of forgot about them (even though they've showed up a few more times). Just these past few months, that governor came out and said he actually witnessed it, and believes they were UFOs.

Here's a couple videos:

Very difficult to explain.

Haha, Millionaire doesn't air anymore silly!

And if it did, Regis sure as hell wouldn't be hosting it!

My vote goes for Ben Bailey. That guy is just so quirky on Cash Cab!

Does too. In the day time with a different host. It's...still millionaire.

It isn't that all creatures are struggling to become sapient. That's not what I'm proposing at all. And I already killed the discussion since it wasn't going anywhere.
