If I remember correctly, Will was kicking around the idea of putting Spore on as many systems as possible. That is probably just a remnant of that idea, as I'm not sure if he is still trying to do so.

I can see why you'd say that, but I don't really see a strong resemblance.

Dan,

The creature editor heavily relies on the parts used to construct. I see no reason why the Vehicle editor should not function in a similar way.

Especially since its a first column part. When you first get to creature you likely dont have many points to start with. So, understandably, the first column parts will be very cheap.

I remember seeing some mouths that looked rather plant-like.

How much force would a meteor have to have to significantly kick a planet out of it's orbit?

Seriously, Dvd drives cost about $10 - $12. If you were to buy Spore with a DVD drive, youd pay about the same as youd pay for a Xbox360 game. Its not that unreasonable.

Besides, how much does a DVD-Rom drive cost nowadays? I know that you can't buy a prebuilt computer now without a DVD drive.

I happen to be one of those Entirely Immoral and Unethical people. Hey, its not my fault I was born without a conscience. I do pirate things, I admit it. But I never pirate games. I consider buying a game an investment in the developer, so that they can keep making games and I can keep enjoying them.

I wonder how large the not procedurally generated stuff is. You know, all the algorithms and all.

From what I heard, the people overseeing the creature creation stations tended to run people off rather quickly.

This is all reminding me of Robin William's "Creature Pilates"

Perhaps they ran into a few walls when developing the software for animations?
