Dragging feet parts (Atleast the Geckonator family of feet) onto the creature causes an instant crash. I'm using Galactic Edition of Spore.

Looks awesome though, you can get tip toe creatures now with this :p.

I'd vote Knight because technically no one else can see them in game (A bug in programming means that although you can play a Knight character, other people download them as Warriors. Thus there is no Knight change quest either) but hopefully it'll be fixed with a patch (if not already), so I'm votiing for Wanderer for the obvious, no bonuses D:.

Similar happened with me, then it turned into me not having the "proper privileges" to use the online content, there's a huge roar from the EA Forums on Spore, of people who can't get on. EA have managed to bugger up the online content on the first day of the European Release. Much Fun.

nurizeko, I can't help but think those details aren't quite necessary, after all this entire forum is based on having fun, and besides describing those points would deduct from being able to write about other more interesting things such as Cultural or Religious information, which I will be doing fairly soonish.

Life Cycles

A.) The Seed has been placed onto the ground, the seed must remain undisturbed for 2 weeks before it's roots begin to take place. If it is disturbed then the process has to restart, if it is still unharmed.

B.) The roots begin to form, providing minerals and nutrients for the seed. This process continues for 1 month until the first signs of it's leaves appear.

C.) The leaves begin to grow from out of the top of the seed, and continues to grow with the roots. The base of the roots are seen to be turning a green colour, and becoming hard, a sign that the stumps are forming. This continues for 4 months until it reaches stage D.)

D.) The roots and leaves continue to grow, and now that the leaves are able to capture energy from sunlight the plant can focus on gathering minerals for growth. This continues for 7 months.

E.) The final stage before "adult-hood", the OWAMAL has now developed pods at the top of it's leaves, and it's roots are becoming more and more decayed with the growth of the stumps. The seed is being recycled once more, to be used as a pod for future reproduction. This stage lasts for 12 months before the OWAMAL finally reaches adult-hood.

F.) The adult stage of the OWAMAL, the plant is now capable of reproduction, and movement. By reproducing, the OWAMAL will have to sacrifice some of it's mass to regenerate it's reproductive pod, as mass can not be converted from energy. As such with each reproductive process an OWAMAL goes through, the more withered and decayed they become, reducing their lifespan after each pod dropped after their first.

Sweet gentle massage followed by a soda! It's been a looong time since I posted on these forums, I think nearing 4 months or so with the PCE. Hopefully this time I'll be here for longer.

Anyhow, now for an introduction to the "Ones-Who-Are-Mobile-Amongst-Leaves".

Basic Description

- Land-Based
- Gentle
- Weird

The "Ones-Who-Are-Mobile-Amongst-Leaves" or "OWAMAL" are a sentient species of Weeds, which have existed relatively undisturbed on their homeworld, "That-Which-Is-Breaths-Life-Into-Everything" or "TWIBLIE". The planet is 80% covered in dense foliage, ranging from temperate forests to bizzare cactus-like jungles at the equator. Despite this, the surface only consists of 30% landmass, the remaining is purely oceanic. As such it seems as if life exists on life itself, like a massive biota-sandwhich.

The OWAMAL are one of 2 sentient species that have evolved on the planet, the first ones seemed to have "De-Evolved" on purpose. It seems that after several years of poluting the atmosphere, the species decided to do something about it, first by reducing emitions, placing Carbon taxes, and then finally returning themselves back to their previous state in evolution, a sort of climbing bears, capable of surviving in the forests. Another theory is that this eventually doomed themselves due to a "one-factored" economy, where the majority of their exports after they became more environmentally friendly consisted mainly of Galactic-Panama Hats, which had at that period of time gone out of fashion, as such rendering their economy worthless.

The OWAMAL have no sense of sight, but the 2 "pods" that are present on the tips of their stalks are so sensitive that they can detect changes in temperature, humidity, wind currents and even faint electrical currents. They also serve as exterior hearing organs. The third pod, located at the base of the OWAMAL, is a reproductive organ, which falls off at the will of it's owner. The pod then embeds itself into the ground, and grows into another OWAMAL after 2 years. The pods grow back after 4 years, but are only visable after the first 3 years of growth.

The OWAMAL use two stump-like legs in order to traverse across their environment. This may be an evolution from the roots commonly found on plants, which have now become hard and are now useless at harvesting minerals from the soil. The OWAMAL seem to draw all of their energy from sunlight, which means they commonly inhabit the surface of TWIBLIE in order to survive as easily as possible. As such, the life-style of the OWAMAL, along with their genetic makeup, makes their average lifespan range from around 140-150 Galactic Years.

Can you explain how they evolved?

In terms of "our" reality, no. Their evolution was based on principles not present or even thought of in our universe, so to describe it would be like "Trying to *gorge* the *cheese* of the *happy campers* with english".

Anyhow, I'll post up more ship stuff soon, when I have free time.

The PCE Envoker - Standard Space Interceptor

The PCE Envoker is the staple ship in the PCE Space Naval fleets. The PCE Envoker is a highly manoeuvrable ship and easy to maintain. The Envoker can only seat up to 3 people, and only requires one PCE pilot in order to use it.

Main Weapon - Pulrivastar Cannon: This cannon fires out a burst of 3 bullets in succession, each is capable of doing only light damage to ships but when used in succession can cause serious damage. This weapon drains a fair amount of energy from the ship.

Secondary Weapon - Destroyer Beam: The ship suddenly emits a long laser-like trail from behind itself and can now only turn 90 degrees whenever it changes direction. This beam slowly fades away once all energy has been drained from the ship, and can be devastating to any ship that runs into it (including the Envoker). Moderate energy drain.

Alright guys, I think I'm going to introduce these soon to the RP forums, but before that, are there any subjects you'd like to know about the PCE? The choice is yours :p.

(Added Boardgame Dubro to that post aswell) :p.

Musical Instrument - Therma

The Therma was created early into the Talgan period, and is effectively a powerful guitar-like instrument. The Therma is laid upon the lap, similar to the Abelfidan from where the user plucks the strings accordingly, one hand dedicated to adjusting the pitch of the note, the other is used to pluck the individual strings. The Therma is a very popular instrument to PCE cultures and is steeped in myth and legends. There is an Electric variation to the Therma, called a Valhalla. This works in exactly the same way, although the instrument is plugged into an electrical amp, which distorts the sound. - "In the Wind" Sample (Therma version) - "In the Wind" Sample (Valhalla version)

Chaibi Sticks

Chaibi Sticks were the first form of Currency in PCE society, and went up in units of 1s, 10s and 100s. These Sticks were produced by the "Common Bank of Rangel" and only this Bank. To prevent forgery, the sticks have an intricate pattern engraved into each one, along with the value of it ontop. This made it harder for forgers to make false Chaibi Sticks, as often the patterns were so complex that they would require a master wood-cutter to create. Records show us that the patterns on the Chaibi Sticks were altered every 5 years, and that citizens would have to go to the Bank in order to convert their old Chaibi Sticks into new ones.

Added to the Gestures and Insults Biocat :p.

Acrode Pasilia - An extremely painful and lethal disease, Acrode Pasilia affects both the Minora and Majora Abeltha, altering the energy discharge between them, creating a rift in the "skin" of the PCE. This effectively rips the PCE in half, and can usually kill it's subject within 2 to 3 months.

Ebeldarans - Another particularly nasty disease, Ebeldarans creates shifts and fluctuations in the energy discharged inside of the PCE, creating tumours and mutilating the structure of the infected. The tumours are uncomfortable and after 3 to 4 days they begin bursting, causing extreme trauma. If not treated, the infected can survive up to 2 years of agonizing discomfort.

Thelnia - Essentially the worst disease of thoose listed, Thelnia fuses the limbs of the PCE together, and slowly solidifies them. This is uncurable and can strike a PCE at any time. At first the infected can use their limbs as any normal PCE could, but eventually as the disease takes hold they find their movements hindered and their limbs disfigured. This disease usually kills it's victims after 10 years, but victims usually die earlier due to being unable to care for theirselves.

Medicinal Bathing

The major way in which the PCE cure themselves of such diseases is via use of Medicinal Baths. These Baths have various herbs and chemicals placed inside of them, which create an vaccine-like effect for the PCE. The PCE emerges their body into the bath, and usually rests there from 30 minutes to 1 hour. In modern PCE culture the medicines are packaged and sold from a drugs store, but in the years before this convinience special bath houses were constructed to cater for the needs of the people. It is believed that Medicinal Bathing originates from the middle of the Talgan Period.

Talgan Period

After the unification of the Tribes, the PCE entered the Talgan Period. This was an Age of Trade, Science, and above all signified the creation of currency and medicine. The Talgan Period also saw the eventual ascension back to the surface, and the formation of a primitive government. This also marked a time of censorship, as anything remotely violent or destructive (unless used in defence or hunting) was banned from being used. As such weapons from the previous years became wall ornaments, and society changed to reflect these more pacifist ideals.

Dubro is a board game created during the Talgan Period, and essentially plays like a simplified chess game. It takes place on a 7x7 board, and each player has 14 pieces. These pieces are called Dancer, Bard, and Master (of the Arts). The players decide who will take the first turn, their main objective is to "out-perform" each others units, by taking their piece (done by landing on their tile on your turn).

The Bard can move 1 tile in any conventional direction (North, South, East and West).
The Dancer can move 1 tile in any diagonal direction (North-East, North-West, South-East and South-West).
The Master is formed when at least 1 Bard and 1 Dancer cross the board to the other side. The player who owns these units can then choose to merge them together (by placing the Bard piece ontop of the Dancer one), creating the Master. This piece is able to move 2 tiles in any direction, granting it a bonus in the heat of performance.

Another valid move is to "hop" over your own units. This is done by having an alternate unit in the movement path of the unit you wish to move (So a Bard can hop over a Dancer, but not another Bard). You can only hop over one unit, and no unit can hop over a Master (likewise a Master can not hop over any units).

Abelethan Structures

Abelethan Structures were created using a mixture of wood and animal skin. The wood creates a structual skeleton for the animal skin to be held by, in a certain sense like a curtain. The entrance is suprisingly located at the top of the building, where either a hole has been cut or where the skin has been folded inward. Essentially most structures were nothing more than personal storage areas for most PCE, but there were some essential structures which the PCE rellied on for their every-day lives.

Numerical Characters

The PCE have a very unusual numerical system. Not only are numbers written backwards (so 655 would be written as 556), but they also only go from 0 to 5. To cover numbers in between 5s and 10s, the PCE use a small line symbol in between the 5 and the number next to it. This symbolises that the number is not a double digit, but infact a singular one (so instead of it reading 54, it should be seen as 5 & 4, meaning 9).

Even more suprising is that symbols which denote numerical formulas (such as +, - and so forth) are exactly the same as they are in our numerical system.

Gestures and Insults

Like any society, the PCE sometimes had disdain for one another. As such there are various insults used by their species, each suggestive and offensive in some manner. These insults are often done infront of the person, as a sign of open aggression.

The first gesture (reffered to as a Gok) is formed when a PCE hovers upside down, extending their "antennas" towards the floor like legs, and their legs being held high in the air. Essentially this gesture claims that the subject is so hideous and malformed that they look as if they have turned theirselves upside down. The alternate meaning to this insult (to be mentally challanged, or eccentric) is derived from the idea that the subject is "upside down" in their mannerisms and thinking, hence being different.

The second gesture (reffered to as a Bafot) is formed by cupping their limbs and lifting them up and down. This, similar to one of our general gestures, implies that money is the subject, and that the person in question is constantly looking to obtain this, or willing to harm others in order to benefit from it.

The third gesture (reffered to as a Kog) is formed by rising two of their leg-like limbs and holding them stiff in the air whilst bouncing up and down. To translate this easier it would be best to imagine that the PCE using this gesture has a cast on their "legs" (implying that they are broken or are unfit). Usually this is aimed at objects, but sometimes it is also used to reffer to potentially untrustworthy people, or transactions (in a sense calling someone a "con-merchant" or a deal "dodgy").

Inter-Dimensional Travel

The PCE are technically a Pan-Dimensional species (in that they are situation in multiple dimensions at one time), as they do not just exist in this reality alone. The PCE have stated that although they have visited countless Dimensions, they are situated in 4 of them, including ours, and their home dimension.

Dimensional Travel for the PCE is a spiritual experience. Every year on their homeworld, a Time-Space Warp appears. It's location is random each time, and as such the PCE search everywhere on their homeworld for this Warp, from which they gather around and effectively "jump" inside of it. They then flow through what is described as a "Time-Scape" (where all possible time-lines present themselves to the PCE, similar to Schrödinger's Cat theory) which then leads them to their destination. The PCE have an extension to their religion purely focused on this event, and although the figures involved are not considered deities (they are more or less seen as Heroes or Angels), they are treated as such.

Gaol - The Gatekeeper

Gaol effectively personifies the Time-Space Warps that the PCE traverse through. This entity is described as "Universes old" and is described as a lone figure who maintains the activity and balance within the Time-Scapes. Gaol is seen as the most minor of the Entities, but has recently seen an increase in worship, perhaps due to the belief that when it is appeased, "good" Time-Space Warps will open.

Gilgamesh - The Slayer

Gilgamesh is essentially the Demon-Slayer in PCE religion. Not confined to the Time-Scapes alone, Gilgamesh is seen as a General of Lavislar, entirely focused on defeating the wrongs present in the multiple dimensions that the PCE know of, and to protect the PCE as they traverse through the Time-Scapes. Gilgamesh is an extremely powerful Entity, and many PCE believe that this power radiates into other dimensions, effectively altering the fabric of their realities. Essentially Gilgamesh is seen as a Torpal-like figure, with 6 arms, pale blue skin and heavy armour, ready to strike at any dark beings that try and take hold of the Time-Scapes, and other Dimensions.

There are some PCE who believe that Gilgamesh is a deity in himself, embodying the Forces of Aplication and Good, turning Lavislar into a Deity of Change and Knowledge instead. Gilgamesh is seen as the most powerful of all the Time-Space Entities, and as such earns the most tribute.

Alseith - The Guide

Alseith is the Entity of Revelation to the PCE, and is often associated with swift travel throughout the Time-Scapes. Alseith is said to guide thoose inside of the Time-Scapes towards their desired destination and lead thoose who are lost. As such Alseith is an important Entity, and is ranked as the second most important Entity to the PCE.

Alseith is personified as a cloaked individual, carrying a lamp of sorts, with abstract dogs following her/him.

(Phew, glad I'm back, although I've got so much here now, I can't add this all to the front page! D: Oh well, hope you enjoy this, also, Merry Christmas everyone.

Abeth Root - Resource of Nature

The Abeth Root was the sole source of Wood for the PCE under the surface of their previous world. These roots would extend for several miles, winding and weaving in and out of one another, creating a certain ivy-like effect in the tunnels. The Roots were trimmed on a regular basis to suit the needs of the PCE, they never completely destroy the roots to ensure that there will be Wood in future generations. Since Abeth Roots were fairly scarce some locations were deemed "un-ravagable," meaning the location was protected from becoming the location for battle-fields and the likes in ancient times, and as such has earned a certain reputation amongst PCE of this era.

Despite first glances at the PCE, it has been revealed that they do possess organs of some kind, although these function differently to general species of our reality.

Minora Abeltha

The Minora Abeltha functions as the brain, nervous system and the ears of the PCE. The Minora Abeltha functions in a peculiar way, in that only 1 section functions at any one time. This at first seems impossible, but due to the speed at which the Minora "changes" objectives the PCE are able to do all of these actions as if by instinct. In a sense the PCE brain acts like an computer, which can not truely multi-tasks, but instead cycles through each objective at such a speed that it is not recognizable.

The Minora radiates an odd electric aura about itself, enabling the PCE not only to feel objects from it's limbs, but also in a small radius around the PCE. This enables the PCE to navigate dark corridors where there is not enough light to "refract" from (in that their colourful bodies are invisible to anyone without proper equipment).

Majora Abeltha

The Majora Abeltha acts as the digestive system, the nose, suprisingly external taste and even more weird, as a locator. The Majora works in a similar way to the Minora, as it doesn't truely multi-task, but the Majora has the ability to taste objects from far away (be they physical or of another substance). This may be due to the fact that the Majora is able to detect smells, which are a part of taste, but for a PCE to be able to taste something such as a sandwhich without consuming it is a very disturbing idea indeed. The PCE digest the radiating energy from objects with this organ, by emitting themselves in it (this could be anything from heat, radioactive waves or even sound and other frequencies).

The Majora also functions as a locator, enabling the PCE to return to an area that they have previously visited, in a sense the locator section acts as if it was a memory bank, keeping precise directions and details to key locations and such.

Belda Focal Organs

The "Belda Focal Organs" are essentially the eyes of the PCE. These organs enable the PCE to see into our reality, and perhaps alternate ones too, we do not know if this is the case however. The Belda Focal Organs also have a very bizzare trait about them, which the majority of our species in our reality do not possess. They can use the Belda Focal Organs to instantly gain attention of most targets directed by this ability, instantly initiating eye-contact with them which is often hard to break. The ability can also be used on objects around the PCE, which enables a PCE to instantly create a "portal of focus" in which most beings are drawn to, this could be anything from an odd object noted on the ground (good for guards and patrols) or it could just be used in a conversation to refer to the subject.

This should not be confused with Mind Control, as this purely draws attention to the PCE using this ability, it does not mean that the target is under some sort of dominance, but it does mean that PCE are able to draw attention to certain matters very easily.
