Does this look familiar? (of course it looks nothing like my avatar :P)

lol... let's have a betting pool on how many "multiplayer" question threads will pop up between E3 and release... :D I go with a meager 3421
How true that is :D

I sincerely hope that this place isn't flooded with noobs, it would be a shame. This is one of the few forums I have ever seen that is almost entirely intelligent discussion, instead of mindless people asking random, stupid questions. On the other hand it would boost the number of people visiting the site substantially.

I wouldn't say shut the flood gates, just make the opening a little narrower.

I have no idea whether they will actually put up forums, they seem to be aiming at a simple straightforward sight, but who knows I'm sure they will have to update the site some after release (I really hope they do before then ;)).

i have noticed that there has been a huge influx of n00bs latley, it won't really be so bad...
Is thier any way to make a fourum where yooou have to have seniority of at least a month to post?
I don't think we should do that since often, as I did, people will read the forums for a long time before deciding that the have something they want to say or contribute.

It would be so much fun to be a microbial parasite. You would invent what symptoms the creature would have by attacking certain organs or tissues, like the throat so as to be spread through the air when they cough etc. Then you would have to go inside the host and find your way through them to the area of cells your going to infiltrate and instruct to replicate more of your species. Then you are coughed out or transferred in some other way to another host to start the process over again.

OK I know that won't happen but it would be awesome! ;)

Edit: On topic, there really aren't any spores in the game, just ameobas and such. Spore just sounds cool.

I hope it is released early, but there are some problems with that. Creatures made in game will naturally be fit for their environment since they have to be to survive, while just using the editor you could potentially make some creatures that would hardly work in any environment. On the other hand this would help fill up Spore's content library without the developers having to spend hours(days, weeks) making the content. In any case I hope that they do released it early! ;D

I'd say ds for all. the stylus would really come in handy.
Just what I was thinking, besides the fact that the DS isn't quite as powerful as the PSP, I think it will work better for DS overall.

I voted microbe for DS and land for PSP.
These are what Gamespy thinks it will be for:
I'm not sure it would be very good for a cell phone though.

i have a soloution nether mods nor expansion packs

i recently picked up zootycoon 2 well..theres a download thing that comes with the game every so often they have something for you to download new animals..buildings etc

i have a feeling spore will do something like that

and the downloads are made by the company

I agree with that, creating custom parts would require far more complex code, and expansion packs would make creatures in different versions incompatable. I doubt we will see either, though custom parts would be awesome.

Really? Even when the mechanism for progress (natural selection) is removed?
Natural Selection cannot be removed it is still effecting us, if someone has a deadly genetic disease they will die and their genes will not be passed on. That is part of evolution.
