Well, I'm going to get Galaxy. It's not that I was afraid of its cartooniness, or anything like that. I beat Super Paper Mario and loved that, I guess I just had no idea of what to expect. The last Mario game I played (discounting Paper), was on the SNES. I am not giving it enough credit I suppose. If it doesn't come in under the Christmas tree I'll go out and buy it myself, since I'm broke right now.

I remember Digimon World. I had no idea how to play that game.

Well, I'm not thinking it's going to be a bad game, it's just that there's nothing that seems to be very encouraging or new about Galaxy. I want to play it, but it doesn't seem like anything special. And I couldn't get through Metroid 1, it wasn't my kind of game. I've heard 3 was different, but I'm thinking I should at least beat 1 first. Maybe I should delve back into that.. I was excited about Project Hammer... which was canceled. And Disaster DoC looks decent.. I guess to sum it up I don't know what the game is like. I've never played Super Mario 64 or Sunshine.

Well, there's Super Mario Galaxy that just came out this past week, and I'm planning on getting it, but only because there's nothing else good on the Wii, and it doesn't look like there's anything good EVER coming out. At least not to me. SMG looks decent, and my Nintendo friends all try to convince me that it's the greatest game. But I don't see why it is. Then there's Brawl coming out next year. Big woop. I could care less. I don't find the Smash Brothers games to be exciting. I want Mass Effect, that's one of the few games I'm excited about, but I don't have a 360. Is there anything to look forward to on the Wii? And why should I want Super Mario? I'm exasperated.

I was surprised to see that no one had started a topic on this yet, since apparently this seems like a big deal. Here's the Kotaku article.

http://kotaku.com/gaming/so-fresh-and-so-clean/wiiware-original-downloadable-games-confirmed-for-wii-272634.php

Basically what it's telling us is that in early 2008, we'll be able to download games from small developers... not just big ones. Apparently it's a pretty cool deal. Will Indie developer games actually turn out to be any good is my question, though. I'm excited.

Those first two posts aren't some prologue or something, are they? Can we just jump in now?

Ah, I see. Should I just jump into the story now?

And that's good, PatMan. I tried to make it as different as possible without being too similar. I read yours first, and I thought that mine might be too close, but I liked my idea, and I didn't want to degrade myself to something like fire blasts...

oh, and how far back do you think I should read to understand what's going on?

Alright, so I edited my post to make Vizian's powers more clear. Look good? And, Yoss, I guess you're right. So, I suppose his HQ could be in a relatively big city, like NYC or Los Angeles. Hm, maybe a big city in California, but I don't know much about Cali. Someone gimme a hand on that.

I was thinking that he could be installing a branch of Vizian Industries in Obano, though. That's why he could be there in the first place. So, should I just jump in soon?

And Darth, does Krakow's idea sound good to you? Vizian and Parks could be former colleagues/friends who split up for moral reasons or something like that.

Oh, and one more thing. What's up with these arcs? Are there set arcs with set stories? Are they all separate from each other, or do they all connect in some way or another? Other than the characters I mean...

Ehhh, I hope that's alright. I hope I'm not creating too much. :\

I was thinking about him just making a suit that would give him super-like powers, but then Iron Man came to mind... so I changed it..

Name: Rastus Vizian

Age: 29

Occupation: Owner of Vizian Industries

Bio: Born into a well-off family, Rastus grew up to enjoy his surroundings, and to enjoy the money that was available to him. His family wasn't the richest that there was, but he had access to things that many other youth did not. Throughout his school days, Vizian was always on the top of his game when it came to Math and Science, and in High School, he was the pride and joy of his tech teachers. However, alongside with his studies, Rastus had a dear Uncle who had a small business where they would receive and sell parts for everything from computers to cars. Rastus would spend most of his time here, helping his Uncle as a worker. In exchange for his working in the warehouse, his Uncle would let him have many pieces that were unsold. This was what brought out Rastus' genius.

In the following years, as he went through high school, and even out of it, he began to build intricate contraptions, doing anything from calculating simple algebra problems to robots with artificial intelligence. He went to a top notch university for an engineering degree, in which he obtained a Ph.D. in much less than the required time. In only two years he had created amazing inventions that obtained him millions of dollars, which allowed him to start up his own company - Vizian Industries. Vizian developed everything - whatever they believed would get them money. Rastus hired the best scientists and engineers he could find, and allowed them to begin working under and alongside him, but he eventually allowed them to do most of the research. Vizian had a bigger plot in mind.

Becoming one of the top richest in the world, Vizian had time to finally undergo the thing that he had wanted to undergo the most - body enhancements. He had always felt that the human body was too weak to carry out certain functions. He had always looked at ants with awe - they could carry things multiple their own weights with ease. There were also fleas, who could jump monstrous heights, despite their small size. Then there were flying things, which humans could only recreate with things they sat in. He wanted to do these things without having to get into something, or use a full-out machine.

First, Vizian underwent extensive studies with his top two scientists on how to enhance his bone structure. Human bones were too frail - they broke too easily. He found a solution to his problem, but it would be too rough on his weak human body. So, he underwent the biggest study that he had. An alteration to his DNA. While Vizian had spent most of his life working on building things, his knowledge was not only restricted to that. It was clear that his mind was much more powerful than the average human, as he began discovering things about the human mind and DNA that no other scientist would have dreamed. He kept his discoveries secret, however, under lock and key.  The gene that he developed was experimental, and he was not sure if it were safe or not. He tested it on a dog, and after the dog survived the initial alteration, it showed great enhancements - it was able to carry large weights, it could run excessive speeds, and it began to show traces of being able to hover. It died after three months, but Vizian could not figure out why.

He eventually determined that the gene tried to do too much. It tried to make the being perfect in every shape and form. Another year of study, and Vizian had come up with a series of genes. Each were as powerful as another, but they each did something different. One increased strength - one gave the ability of flight - one gave amazing healing abilities. He tested them again, on a dog. He used one, and saw that the dog survived perfectly for six months. He tried another dog - using two genes. It survived just as long. Both dogs showed no signs of dying, but Vizian was not satisfied. Vizian is still working on these genes - which he hopes to someday use on himself, bringing himself to the peak of perfection.

Super Power: Amazing intellect, although it is mostly in the form of numbers and science. With this power, he has been able to invent many inventions that he uses to protect himself from the baddies. His mind works at a much faster pace than others when it comes to how something might work or how something might grow. His mind is also very good at remembering things, as well as seeing how things will work before even actually testing them.

So uh, before I go through the task of making a person for this, are there any restrictions I should know before I dig my claws into this? I really want to have some superhero action... and by things to know, I meant other than the things on page one, cause I read all them... I meant things that may have been added on page 152 or page 74 or something... >.>

I'm giddy about thirteen, though.

Well, legodragon, that wasn't the case with me. I was just out, hoping to find one. I was just lucky, I think, and for this you might need a certain degree of luck. I just called Sam's Club on a Friday night, asking if they happened to have any, and they said they had JUST received a shipment. They only had ten, though... but that's how I got one. Actually, it was this past Friday. I've not even had mine for a week.
