Dear Customer,

You have signed up to receive release date changes for:

Spore

http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=646589

Old Release Date - 2/18/2008
New Release Date - 3/3/2008

Thank you for visiting EBgames.com!

NOTE: The product release date is the best estimate as to when the product will become available. These dates are subject to change at anytime. EBGames.com is in constant communication with product vendors to provide you with the most accurate release dates possible.

Eh?

So does the release date depend on the mood swings of the EA CEO?  :P
yes, this explanation makes the most sense.. ???  ;)

You're quoting a release date set by a game store.  The people who set that one know as much, or less, than us.  EA had nothing to do with that date.  It is just someone who works at Gamestop guessing.

Brutus, it's hard to read most of your posts normally, but that one was just stupid.

How anyone could see the murder of thousands of people as being equal to the delay of a video game is beyond me.

Way to ruin a perfectly decent topic.

There is a very simple solution if you don't want music/sound in space.
Turn off music in options and turn off your speakers when you go to space.

Malt, did it even occur to you that you are contradicting yourself by whining about it?

Although I doubt you will reply because you can't bear to return to this thread to face any arguments, right?

Actually, Malt makes a very valid point.  Popular games in pre-release periods are discussed to death on message boards by fans who discuss virtually everything to do with the game.  Some of the posts on this forum are ridiculous, and hence are the reason why I don't visit often anymore.  The game will most probably be very good; a revolution that will still be played in five years time.  It won't be everything that you hope for and envisage though, because sitting on a computer chatting about it is going to hype it up and get your hopes up even more, and just sets you up for being disappointed.

Take it from experience everyone, and take a step back, go and do other things; see some friends, play another game, concentrate on work, and forget about Spore until you actually get some official previews and decent, in-depth information about it much closer to release.

Example:  Fable
People took every little scrap of information they could find about the game, regarded it as hard coded fact, and then expanded on it.  This went on for a couple years getting hopes and hype up, and then the game was released and couldnt possibly meet their expectations.  It was still a great game that was worth every penny it cost to buy, but people spent so much time talking about what it COULD be, instead of what it actually was, that they did not get what they wanted.

I check these forums every once in a while and only generally go into a topic if it looks like it has a link to a new video or article I haven't seen yet.

Where did ya' get the song you used in the video?
I have been searching for it forever (long before your video) and can't find a place to download it.
Vaughan Williams - English Folk Song Suite I believe is the full title.

I honestly hadn't put any more thought into it other than how it looked, but sure, that works.

Also, our current titles are awesome for this topic.
I have "Sea Battler" and you have "Revenging Yar"
Totally pirate titles.
