Spore: Sporepedia Exchange / Boralus is here! (Well, at least part 1)
« on: July 01, 2009, 11:41:32 pm »
It's late, so I'll keep this brief and edit this post later when I have more stuff up.

First if all, I'm posting my creations through a new user name, "Bone Mosten". There's a reason for this. I'll explain later. For the time being, if you want to follow my stuff you should buddy that user name instead of "Bonemouse".

So after what feels like weeks tweaking my adventure Welcome to Boralus is finally done. There will be a sequel or two (ran out of acts). In the mean time, I'd love feedback. Positive or negative. It's fairly easy and straight forward, I hope.

Find it here.

Spore: General / Is it me, or is GA freakin' hard?
« on: June 28, 2009, 12:24:05 pm »
Okay. I don't currently have a space phase creature, so I've been playing the quick play missions. And I can't even come close to beating some of them. My captain, doesn't have any captain parts yet (need to earn them first), but I did make a creature with max bite, strike, sprint, bash and health. And still, I die. GRawr!

I was just wondering if anyone had a list or new of a list of how many of each "archetype" you need to have in your sporecast to minimize the chances of having the content pollinated from outside sources?

It would be cool to be able to create a sporecast where you only encounter your own creations up until the space phase. Perhaps some sort of checklist can be made?

Spore: General / How synced is our ingame sporepedia to web sporepedia?
« on: September 10, 2008, 10:54:00 am »
While trying to squash a game crashing bug, I had decided to delete all my downloaded and created content. And I just noticed that by doing so, it had deleted all my stuff off the web version too.

I was going to do that anyway because I figured I may as well update my stuff since I can actually see how shiny the textures I picked are with this version. (Plus feet rotation!)

So the question is, if I make a change to a shared creature's shape or texture, does that change appear on the web too? How about descriptions and tags?

Portable Games / Co-op DS games?

Just wondering if anyone knows if there are any (hopefully decent) multiplayer co-op games for the DS?

Spore: General / Player vs Creator

This is sort of a prediction thread. Of course everyone here is going to play it. And, again, everyone's going to create things. But in the long term (say, 4 months after release) what do you think will sustain your interest in Spore the most? Playing or creating?

Spore: Creation Corner / Free 3D tool for landscapes.
« on: June 18, 2007, 03:05:49 pm »
Thought I'd mention this here because it may be useful for people wanting to make 3D landscapes for their creatures. Apparently Bryce 5.5 can be downloaded for free here. It requires you to sign up for a site (free). I just installed, so I'll be back with some pics of the Borark homeworld soon (I hope.)

Spore: Creation Corner / Want a drawing of your creature?
« on: May 27, 2006, 04:37:16 pm »
I'm offering to draw your creature for a small fee of $20.

What you get is a coloured sketch (see below for examples) of your creature based off your sketches/descriptions.

At this point, this service is in "testing phase." I may discontinue the service or raise/lower the price depending on demand.

Post or PM me with any questions. PM to order.

Spore: Creation Corner / Bonemouse's Creatures (Borark and more)

Hi everyone. I've been lurking this board for a few weeks (pretty much since I found out about Spore) and all your cool creatures inspired me to do one of my own.

I did these while I was bored at work. I'm pretty happy with how the final creature turned out, but I think the evolution stages need to be reworked. I actually should be getting back to work, so I'll post my description later as well as some revised drawings.
