Books / Your favourite graphic novels/picture books
« on: May 18, 2006, 03:48:15 am »
What are peoples favourite graphic novels or picture books.  I enjoy the star wars picture books with all the fantastic artworks.  I also like another graphic novel called "Maus", about nazi Germany in Poland, and the characters in the book are animals for each ethnic group, so the jews were mice, the nazi's were dogs i think..etc

Spore: Creation Corner / The Lermiun - My new creature
« on: March 05, 2006, 04:55:54 am »
Here is a picture of my new creature called the Lermiun (without clothing as yet). I made this totally in photoshop cs, however, i don't have access to a scanner now, so i copied it from my sketch straight to the computer.
As you can see, the Lermiun is a light blue creature, bipedal and tall. I haven't totally thought about all its characteristics, history and information about it yet, but i will eventually do that. They have evolved an unusual mode of locomotion which is characteristic of their low gravity home world, about the size of mars( i will post a picture of the planets system known as the Lerm System later) and their unique flow of evolution over millions of years (i will post a chart later when i get to it).
All pictures posted within my thread by me are my own creations, so please do not copy them without my permission.

Spore: General / Potential for game to download viruses with content?
« on: February 23, 2006, 05:10:35 am »
I recently just got a virus on my computer, and i came to think, what will happen if the game inadvertently downloads a virus with the content, or a players content has a virus or worm on it.  Do you think that this game could have someone come along and hide a virus in their creature creation file, and then when it is downloaded from the server to the game, it will spread through the whole world (its going to be a popular
What do you people think?

TV / Jeremiah
« on: February 18, 2006, 12:04:35 am »
Did anyone watch a show called Jeremiah, a sci-fi show starring Luke Perry.  It is about a future where the survivors of a large worldwide epidemic have grown up and now have to adapt to a new world.  All the adults were killed and it left only the children who havent reached puberty.  I really enjoyed this show and wish they would make a season 3 :(

This is a very good book, about the terraforming of mars in the future and shows the emotional and human imapact of this.

Spore: General / What IS the future of content?.
« on: February 15, 2006, 10:03:50 am »
I'd thought i'd make a post about what some of you ppl might think of what will happen to games after Spore is released in the future.  Will other companies start using the procedural content idea to make games, will it have a flow on effect?  Will EA make a Sims 3 or Sim City 5 (i truly hope) using procedural methods?
Thoughts.. ??? ::)
