Everything Else / I need a business card design - win 50
« on: November 02, 2009, 01:40:05 pm »
Yes I have my own business. Internet stuff.

So I need a logo for the cards I will be printing and a design for the overall card. Something that looks nice and says I work on the internet. Not sure I will find anything here but hey, there are some real artists in this forum so why not try.

My company name is Magenti Media and a standard nice business card would look something like:

You can just google for nice business cards and you will find tons of examples. I will have my company name, preferably in big letters, my name under that then my phone number and e-mail adress.

To make it interesting, the winner, if I choose to select one from the forum gets one game for around 50. If its 55 then thats fine but if its 35 thats all you get and no extra 15 game. I will need your first name and steam e-mail adress to send the game to you.

Questions? Shoot, if not, bring on the designs!

Remember, I have no logo for my company, so Magenti Media needs something snazzy, like 2 Ms togheter or something original.

Forum Games / Haloween zombie avatars

Make and rate the zombie avatar above you.

Could be a vampire and stuff too I guess but zombies are more in the , zombieworld l4d2 theme we all love.

Mine is a zombie version of Dr House.

As you can see, he is either foaming blood around his mouth or he just had a fresh kill :)

PC Games / company of heroes tales of valour strategy
« on: October 24, 2009, 07:51:59 am »
So I got the game some months back and have slowly been playing against my German friend who always play the germans.
I play the Brittish or the Americans, just recently though he started winning. This is after some 30+ wins using different strategies.

He gets the tiger tank and that weird ass heavy armoured tanks that fires what looks to be a grenade which does massive damage.

How the heck do I destroy them? I had 3 teams of engineers with pivot launchers and 2 teams of rocket launchers and after 2 min of shooting at it it is still not dead. I even fired priest shells on it (artillery) and it barely dented it,

What is the strategy for facing these? Any tank the Brittish have is easily defeated by this monster tank.
For the Americans there are more options, they have good anti tank, artillery and tanks to face it.

No I am not talking about "the plan".

I think it will be a motion picture, why? Bryan Singer is directing/producing it and he knows what he is doing. Well.. except for Superman Returns.

You heard it here first!

Portable Games / I won a PSP 3000 black
« on: October 10, 2009, 06:38:22 am »
So I am wondering what firmware I need to install and how I do this in order to be able to get games off the internet and have them on the PSP.

I was thinking of buying a 16GB memorycard to it and just filling it up with games and giving it to my little brother but I am stuck on the firmware part and if it is even possible for a PSP3000.

Anyone that knows?

It is a Post Apoc MMO. Finally!

I tried the beta and from what I have found out this is what you can do.

1. Craft basically anything as long as you have the materials. Guns, knives, shoes, hats, veichles, horses (yea I know, but you are actually training it) and cook food.
2. A huge playground to roam in and more quests than you can handle.
3. Pvp is still kind of in beta but you can siege cities and kill others for faction points.
4. Form factions and get special bonuses.
5. Instead of having guns auto aim you have to hit a hitbox, headshots count for more points which I found out with my crossbow and my zippgun.
6. Veichles! Horses, cars with machine guns. And you can even be on your horse and fire, or car for that matter.
Beta ends in about 2 weeks so be sure to try it before it ends.
The beginning of the game is abit boring but stick with it and it gets fun.

Fantastic game

PC Games / Wolfenstein!

Its back, from ID studios which as you know, also made Doom.

Right, its still in Germany and the nazis are making experimental weapons using technology found from an ancient dead civilisation called the Thule society. You start the game by gaining a crystal device which allows you to jump in and out of dimensions while still connected to your original one. This helps you see better, find secret locations and walk through walls market with the Thule symbol.

So far its pretty fun. You collect gold used for upgrades and secret intelligence which actually has a pretty good side story too it. I am intrigued and happy to finish this game just to know what the endgame is. I never finished any of the older games so I dont know the storyline there.

Graphically, it looks better on a ps3 than on my comp, thats with everything maxxed and my computer is not even making a sound. is not working for some reason.. so here is a link to planet wolfenstein instead. which isnt working either! Hey,

Here is  a youtube flick then!

PC Games / Homeworld 2 Battlestar galactica Mod
« on: July 25, 2009, 10:42:42 am »
I really liked this game when it came out, mostly because of the multiplayer and gaming style.

Recently got a copy of it and I am now downloading the battlestar galactica mod onto it since.. well I love those ships. But I also found stargate and starship troopers mods which I am also going to try.

Link to the BSG mod:

if you have the mod and want to play, let me know so we can get a game going.

PC Games / Black Prophecy

I love Space MMOs!

Eve online has a downside though, before you can really kick ass you need 200 gazzillion skills to learn before you can command your own battlecruiser and the game gets boring fast. I had skills taking 3 months to learn and you cannot learn other skills while learning this so I quit.. was too horrible to waste more time on even though the game looks amazing.

Was googling and found Black Prophecy.

Looks kind of like Eve but no training horrible crap for ever.

I signed up for the beta. You should too!

PC Games / The Magenti win a free game contest
« on: June 22, 2009, 09:39:18 am »
Ok, I have a prepaid card which expires this month. In it I have 32.57    left. So instead of buying a game I will never use I am holding a contest today where someone can win a game of their choice over steam for the amount indicated above.

The theme is L4d that's Zombies and mayhem. Your job is to write a poem about it max 50 words, winner gets the game of his choice for the amount specified above.

Contest Rules. Only one submission per household. You may not double post here(only applies to the poem), you can however edit your original post. I am the judge, I decide who wins and I set the rules as I think of them regardless of this post. If I choose too I may abort the competition on the grounds of not enough participants.

You have until tomorrow at 12 00 GMT+1 to supply the best poem you can, it should rime but this is not a requirement.

Any questions? Shoot.

PC Games / natural Selection 2
« on: June 14, 2009, 01:14:53 pm »
I dont know if you guys played natural selection , the original mod for halflife but it was not only well made but seriously fun to play. Even with graphics from 1998 the game is highly playable even today. That mod turned big and Natural Selection 2 is on its way with its very own engine.

Check it out.

I preordered and supported them even thought its $20 extra.. worth every penny in my mind.

Spore: General / What it in the middle of the universe?
« on: June 11, 2009, 12:21:29 pm »
I personally have spore and thought it was the worst purchase I made in my life just passing the penis enlargment pills.

But what is in the centre of the universe? I was destroying alot of those pesky aliens but gave up before I reached the centre.
