Did anyone else get Slayer's new album? I'm about half way through and i must say it kicks major ass! Sounds like a cross between God Hates us all and Seasons in the Abyss.

If you're a metal fan, i suggest you get it.

Review by LivingForMetal.com

The ENTIRE ALBUM can be heard on their myspace page, here.

Music / Most Disturbing Song
« on: July 22, 2006, 02:23:26 pm »
What's one of the most creepy/disturbing/scary songs you've ever heard?

For me it would be Slayer's "Dead Skin Mask". Especially near the end when the girl starts speaking. Slayer in general are good at making disturbing songs like that. If you haven't heard that song, you have to. It's a great song and one of my favorites.

Everything Else / Virtual Reality Shoes!

A pair of motorised roller skates that cancel out a person's steps could let users naturally explore virtual reality landscapes in confined spaces.

The "Powered Shoes" were developed by Hiroo Iwata, Hiroshi Tomioka and Hiroaki Yano at the University of Tsukuba in central Japan. The shoes will be demonstrated at the SIGGRAPH 2006 conference on computer graphics and interactive technologies, which takes place in Boston, US, between 30 July and 3 August.

Each shoe is mounted on top of a set of three motorised rollers and is connected by cable to a computer on the user's back. This computer controls both the motion of skates and a head-mounted display that shows the user a virtual landscape.

As the wearer walks forwards, the connected computer controls the rollers under their feet, cancelling out their strides. The computer also updates the visual display to create the illusion of walking through the virtual world.

Forum Games / Let's make a song...
« on: July 05, 2006, 06:37:29 pm »
Out of other songs! Just take a line out of a song you're listening to (or if you're not listening to a song, a line you remember from a song) and add it to the lyrics.

For Example:

Poster 1: Put your left foot in
Poster 2: Aiiiii, Macarena!

etc.

Every ten posts the poster has to put all of the lyrics of the last 10 posts (including his/her own) together, so we make a song!

I'll start: A new level of confidence and power, such power

TV / Blade
« on: June 28, 2006, 08:54:11 pm »
I just finished watching the first episode of Blade: The Series and I must say it was awesome! I'm not sure if it was the sexual tension or the vampires, but something got me hooked. I can't wait to see where they take it, although i was a bit disappointed they didn't get Wesley Snipes, but the new guy (i don't know his name) is pretty good. I'm gonna end it here because I'm dead tired. Thoughts?

PC Games / Still waiting for Duke?
« on: June 27, 2006, 07:39:40 am »
Borrowed from here.

"The List" originally started as a forum or usenet post somewhere and quickly spread around the internet in early 2002 to poke fun at George Broussard and the rest of 3D Realms. At the time Duke Nukem forever had been in development for five years. Well, nine years have passed since the original press release, dated April 25th, 1997- so I decided the list needed updating. Also, I realize that some of the games listed aren't released yet, they will be before Duke Nukem Forever.

If you've got something to add, email duke@a-13.net or hit me up on AIM @ "ioburn" or Y!IM @ "io_burn".

Feel free to re-post this, just please keep the whole thing intact with all of the credits at the bottom or link back to here.
