My Spore Creatures!
Here's my Sporepedia page:
http://www.spore.com/view/profile/Aligon

(Below is the first creature I made at Yuri's Night. I'll eventually make it again on my version of the game.)
This is the Occle-Horn, a stealthy hunter that uses its long three-eye'd-stalk to peer over the tall and dense grasses of its homeworld and make its way towards its prey. Once it is close enough, it pounces and uses sharp talons, a powerful jaw, and multiple antlers and horns located on its eye-less and nose-less forehead (It doesn't need to worry about damaging its delicate sensory equipment, because it's all located on the eye-stalk!) to spear and tear its prey apart.

and here's the Occle-Horn with a couple of its offspring:

Spore: General / Creature Weapons
« on: January 21, 2007, 01:32:40 pm »
I did a few searches, and it didn't seem like there was a topic like this one around (except for one thing a long time a go with only 2 replies...).
look at this picture: http://www.spore.com.ar/galeria/visor.php?img=oficiales/11.jpg
I don't know if anyone has ever noticed this (don't kill me if you have... :-[), but if you look at the bottom right of the screen, it looks like you have two different options for weapons (bite or use your claw, in the case of this screeble). So I guess you get to pick what kind of "tool" or part of your creature you want to use to attack and feed.
This brings up a lot of questions, for example, how does damage work with different parts, do you do different "kinds" of damage (like pierce, club, etc...).
Also, does this mean you could use this in the tribal stage and have different kinds of "infantry", some wielding bows, some clubs/spears...

Spore: General / Amphibians...Reptiles...Mammals?
« on: December 08, 2006, 10:55:33 pm »
I was looking through the "Spore Figurines" thread, and I went to the article, where I found the following comment:
"One thing concerns me. It seems every creature is reptilian in nature. Is Mammalian life not possible?"
First order of business: Is there any hair in spore?
Also, will there be a way to tell what type your creature is, mammal, reptile, amphibian?
If so, could specific traits be attached to each kind, so for example, if your creature is classified as reptile, would being cold-blooded have any effect on gameplay?

Spore: General / Dying in Spore
« on: November 18, 2006, 02:17:11 pm »
Just wondering, how is it possible to "lose" at the different stages of the game, and what exactly happens. The microbial stage is pretty basic, too many of the predators hit you, and you die, but what happens then? Are you resurrected back to the beginning of the game? etc.
What about the Creature Stage? When you die, do you start all over again (except if you have an extensive save file, which I'm sure will be a component of the game)?
And for the Galaxy stage, if your homeplanet is destroyed but you still have existing colonies, etc.

Spore: Creation Corner / The Agnoculus (and other Creatures of Epun)
« on: November 15, 2006, 04:15:35 pm »
Hey everyone, just thought I'd introduce a creature I thought of a few days ago...
I found out about spore about a week ago while reading the New Yorker (there was an article in there about Will Wright and his new Evolution Game).
I was instantly captivated by the idea and quickly checked it out on my computer. I watched gameplay videos for a few days and finally stumbled upon SporeWiki, and decided I would make a creature.
so...If you guys have any advice or anything, please tell me, I'm all new to the forums and to the Spore community and would gladly accept it.
Without further ado, Here is my Agnoculus!
I posted a few things on SporeWiki, cuz that's where I started out, so here is the link to the Agnoculus page: http://www.sporewiki.com/Agnoculus
So far I have all the basic information done and the page also links off to the Agnoculi's home planet, so you can look at that too.
Finally, I also made the Agnoculi's ancestor, the "Oculus", and that's over there too...
So yea, hope you all like it.

C.A.S Classifications:

Here are some pictures:
First of all, the actual modern Agnoculus:

And here is a pic of its primitive ancestor, the Oculus:
