Megaman RPG 3.X: Regalia
Historical Summary – Major Events

   In the world of Megaman RPG 3.X: Regalia 9 years have already passed.

It all began with the Great Reploid Rebellion in 2200. One year later the first Reploid countries began arising. These nations included Wily’s Empire in Africa, the Western Reploid Union on the west coast of the United States, Shinisteru in Russia, the People’s Republic in Japan, and the Proto Mekvah later on.

Wily expanded quickly, taking Africa, the Middle East, and parts of Europe and Australia. His rapid expansion and constant gloating about he would rule the world made him public enemy number one. He quickly began campaigns against other rising nations in order to further expand his global empire, but the People’s Republic was the first to strike. They declared war on Wily and began battling him in the Middle East and in Australia, where they successfully pushed him out. Near the end of 2203, Gate, the leader of the People’s Republic, was assassinated by Zero, which caused the government’s collapse.

This war against Wily would eventually end with a massive invasion spearheaded by Western Reploid Union who had by this time taken all of North America south of the arctic and all of South America. They would also receive assistance from the Desert Claw, which had risen in place of Wily’s Middle East. The blitz is a total success and Wily’s fortress is infiltrated and destroyed by Megaman X and Zero. Wily’s global empire had fallen.

The year is now 2205. By now the layout of the world looks like this:

To celebrate, a massive Reploid fighting tournament is held called Botmania, it is the sixth time this event has occurred since the creation of Reploids. Zero wins in the Rumble with Needleman as the runner-up and he also wins in the Bracket tournament with the notorious assassin Kyubit Foxtar as the runner-up.

This all changes in October when a series of negotiations after the Western Reploid Union invades the New World Alliance’s Japan ends in Needleman, the leader of the W.R.U., fires his Space Cannon on the British Isles, heart of the New European Republic portion of the N.W.A.

Fefnir and The Skiver, who is the replacement of Megaman X who was the original ruler of the Desert Claw portion of the N.W.A., declare war on the W.R.U. This act begins World War Three.

The War goes on with only a few major battles but the highlight of it is Needleman’s unrestricted use of Nuclear Weapons on Western Europe and the pacific. Since the N.W.A. have no such weapons they are defenseless against them.

As the war is being fought a virus is raging throughout the Reploid population of the world, turning them into violent zombie-like creatures under the command of a Reploid known as Sigma, former leader of the Maverick Hunters. The virus spreads like wildfire and the W.R.U. and N.E.R. agree to have their dominions combat this threat, but it is not enough, that is until Fefnir manages to kill Sigma in battle, infecting himself in the process.

As World War Three wages on the New European Republic find their confederacy destroyed and being one of only two nations not yet part of the Global Reploid Union. In response to their imminent demise Shinisteru launches a massive nuclear assault on every major city in the G.R.U., which causes the G.R.U. to launch back at them and at Europe. This event causes the death of 18 billion people, Human and Reploid, all life on Earth is gone, along with the Sigma Virus.

Now overpopulated by refugees the colonies create and enact a plan to cleanse the Earth by crashing twenty-two of the twenty-three orbiting colonies into the planet so their environmental systems can eradicate the radiation and bring life back to it.

The plan is a success and the world is filled with nature, but survivors awaken to find that they had put too much energy into environmental systems shielding and not enough into stasis shield and as a result only 107 million of the 2 billion crashers survived this event.

This is where Megaman RPG 3.X: Regalia is now, with the survivors of Old Earth in this new world, struggling to rebuild their lives and their home.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That is the history of events that has taken place from May 2007 – February 2008 in the game known as Megaman RPG 3.X: Regalia. Obviously much has happened since then and what you just read was a VERY shallow overview of events. MUCH more happened.
This is a game based around Capcom’s Megaman Series in all forms except Battle Network and Starforce. This is a purely a fan-made game and receives no profit. Features Include:
·   Fully dynamic story, the players actions have an effect whether they know it or not.
·   Total Freedom. Want to end the world? I did it once already. Want to take it over? I did that too, right before I ended it. Want to be a kick-ass Reploid? No problem. Botmania VII is coming up soon…
·   Government/Nation/Empire building and everything that comes with it. Don’t really want to focus too much on being a fighter? Not a problem. In MMRPG 3.X you can give rise to your own nation and have it be anyway you want it to be. Want to be a psychopathic dictator? Go right ahead, we’ve had a few already. Want to be a goody-goody peacekeeper? Sure, we’ve got tons of those. >.>
·   Opportunity. This RPG has a long history, dating back to 2001. In that time the community was a large size and the game laster almost 3 years. We wish to achieve such success again and are well on our way. One thing the community is looking for is someone with programming abilities to create an auto-updater for the main website. Currently all status pages and such are maintained on the forums. We also looking for competitive players, some to challenge the main four who currently dominate this game.
·   Expansion. The game is always looking for cool side features, we’ve got one in the works right now that is an interactive Choose your own Adventure/What-If story based around the idea that the Holocaust of 2209 never took place, and why.
As you can clearly see this is a game that is right for anyone who is or isn’t interested in Megaman but is just looking for a good competitive game to play with a nice community. Not large, but nice.
I encourage anyone who reads this to at least take a look; it’s a simple game, it just looks big. :P
And if you require help, advice, or the occasional freebie just talk to me, Craft. I was formerly known as Needleman for any of you who are curious
If this was an inappropriate place to post this, I do apologize. Feel free to remove it if so.
Spore: General / Species Relocation
« on: February 11, 2008, 04:41:33 pm »
I searched and didn't find anything pertaining to this I believe, so here we go...
Let's say you are floating around in your UFO and come across a tribal species on some planet somewhere. Now let's say you abduct a whole tribe of them and take them to some other planet around some other star that is very similar to theirs. What happens to them?
Do they go through time like normal, advancing to space? What about their brothers on the homeworld? Would this create two seperate empires of the same species, or would the game bug up and have them magically act as one species even across 100,000 light years? This opens up so many weird possibilities, anyone have any better ideas?
Console Games / Dragon Ball Z: Super Budokai
« on: January 14, 2008, 05:50:49 pm »
Yes, it's here already. Dragon Ball Z: Super Budokai, the first 8th generation Dragon Ball Z game, on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. And by the looks of it the Budokai series fighting system has returned, buffed up to next-gen levels. What does everyone think about this? Oh, and this will be known as Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit in Japan.
Spore: General / 08' Delay Theory
« on: May 12, 2007, 06:50:44 pm »
After going back to Spore.com to see some pictures I got the idea:
Maybe the delay isn't for the game itself. Maybe the delay is to get everything ready for the game, the database, starting creatures, translate into other languages, that kind of thing. They porbably still have some final polishing to do to the game but...yeah. I'm thinking that the delay may have to do with the other stuff connected to Spore rather than just the game itself. Takes quite a while toget 3-D printers set-up and working, eh?
Any thoughts?
Storytelling and Roleplaying / Regalia(More than you think)
~Introduction to World of Regalia v 2.0~
For as long as anyone could remember The Tigen Valley has been a paradise, Immigrants from thousands of years ago settled in the Tigen Valley, and founded Ginopolis. The City grew, and people left the city to found other cities in the valley. After centuries of war between the cities, they were all eventually united in a loose confederation of City states with Ginopolis as the center, and the Artegina Empire was formed. For over a thousand years it has kept to itself, and ruled. The last 100 years of the Artegina Empire saw the rule of the most tyrannical and evil men the world ever has known. The people were angry, and a revolt took place in the capital city of Ginopolis. The King was killed, along with all the aristocrats, and slave holders. Word spread quickly, and massive revolts in every city took place. Kings of each of the city states were executed, and all with ties to the old empire were killed.
The collapse of the Empire was so significant that the Valley started counting years based on the collapse of the Empire. The first Year after the collapse of the Empire of Artegina marked the year 1 E.C.(Empire Collapse).
For about half a century, each of the City States fought for control over the valley. Massive wars erupted. Over territory, over resources, over simple feuds, it didn't matter. The violence was so great, that people from the Tigen Valley even moved out of the valley, to find new lands. Eventually, a great war to end all wars occured, and although this war spawned many legends and heros, the end resulted in a long reign of peace that lasted for nearly two generations of Kings.
The valley is now divided into 3 great Kingdomns, and the new generation of Princes have forgotton about the old great war. That was long ago, and the peace is shakey.
~~~~~~~~

In the world of Regalia, you make history! In Regalia, not only can you be a warrior, or a tactition, but you can be an explorer, a merchant, explorer, and a user of magic. The World of Regalia is not just limited to the Tigen Valley either. Civilization started out in the Valley, but the Tigen valley is only a small part of the world of Regalia!

In Regalia, you make your own goal. Ultimately though, you want to be remembered through history. In Regalia, your character can, and eventually will die. The only way for your character to be remembered is through his or her exploits, so remember, try to make an impact!

This is the second phase to "The World of Regalia". The first phase was brief, and more of a way for the game to be tested. The Second phase is an attempt to improve the first phase, and make the game more fun, and at the same time easier to run. Have fun, and don't be afraid to ask questions. I will try my best to help you.

Not everyone will own a Empire at first, but everyone can get one. Think you have what it takes?

It's in the middle of re-opening, the inactivity you may see is but temporary. Try to get a foot in the stir-up that is sure to come. Or make it yourself!

Spore: General / Nuclear Weapons?
« on: January 14, 2007, 05:50:20 pm »
Well, I was just thinking about this and it occurred to me that the discovery of nuclear physics and their uses in a bomb really changed our world, so I thought, what would it be like on Spore? So really what I'm asking, is if you were put in the situation of nukes being developed, in your game of Spore, what would you do? Assuming nukes will be in of course....

Spore: General / Brains Before Tribal
« on: December 21, 2006, 06:15:25 pm »
Well, I was thinking.

You don't just upgrade then brain once and BAM your sentient, but must upgrade it mulitple times, so, wouldn't just getting a new line of parts be really not worth it? I was thinking maybe some new verbs?(Like Dancing)

Any thoughts?

Spore: General / Screeble World, has anyone noticed?
« on: December 03, 2006, 05:25:24 pm »
I was on Spore's wikipedia page a second ago and I noticed the planet's ring was viewable from the surface, I hadn't noticed that before, but when he was in the creature stage I never saw the ring.

What I'm getting at is maybe planets do change a bit more than the life forms on them, like gaining rings.
