K guys, here we go.

Storytelling and Roleplaying / Life of a Hero (Issue 5!)
« on: June 22, 2007, 09:28:52 am »

Will MM be able to join the ranks of the heroes he so envies? Or will he fall like so many others? Only time will tell.

But first, I guess he needs some muscles or lasers.

Console Games / Beautiful Katamari

Hooray for 360 support!
Hooray for 50% completion!
Hooray for Katamari!

But boo for no Takahashi.

So, free media player, eh? You say oyu have one? What about a free browser? Oh.

Keep in mind, this is far from being finished. But I'm currently using it, and I'd say that it has great potential. It's based off of Firefox, so you know it's good. Not to mention it's cross platform for you hippies(Mac) or tinfoil hat wearers(Linux).

It's god addons and skins(called feathers) like Firefox. It can scan for media from any folder on your computer. Give it a try, see if you likey.

I came up with this idea when I was watching last night's episode of House(excellent show, all should watch). In the show, House's crew sits around with their fancy transparent whiteboard and bounce around what the disease could be. Of course, it's always shot down somehow by a miniscule detail. Example:

Poster 1: The patient has aids.
Poster 2: He says he goes on the internet, so he's never been laid.
The patient has a ruptured intestine.
Poster 3. No he doesn't because......

And so on. You don't have to stick to actual diseases, just do whatever.

The patient has cancer.

A theater playing back to back films exploiting sex, violence, and other extreme subject matter.

Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez are apparently teaming up for a double feature, Quentin's "Death Proof" and Rodriguez's "Planet Terror". Pushing boundaries in gore blah blah blah.

There's an amputee that sticks guns in her nub and proceeds to kick ass with it.  That's reason enough to go.

Spore: Creation Corner / Conspiracy!
« on: March 01, 2007, 04:50:39 pm »

Recently events have been unfolding.

secret events

But are they SO SECRET??

The answer to this question my friend? Yes! Yes with a capital exclamation mark!
Breaking News! Malt is Smart! S-M-R-T! SMRT! I mean, DOH!
I point you to my main points of evidence;
The Theen:
The Thean:
The Yean:

3 races, all ending in ean.... AND I MEAN ALL OF THEM! YOU CAN'T ARGUE THAT FACT!

Wait, isn't there another race that ends in ean? Yes, the Naucean! The Naucean, as we know, is one of the "Big Three", or as we call it in the biz "B-Tres". This love(?) triangle consists of the Naucean, Torpal, and ViS.

If you take one letter from each race, you can make "Eli". Making more sense?
Adding to the conspiracy further, a race of gecko type creatures were made recently. The Dyatanie.

Eli + Geckos= Eligecos!

Not to mention that the letters T and A are in Dyatanie. Combine that with the first letter in Axis(ala WW2), and you get T.A.A. Eligecos "helpful" thread.

Guilmon, creator of the gecko species, is supposedly 9 years old(though is probably a poison-flavored robot made by Eli). The Anubians recently got 11 votes in the T.A.A.

My conclusion: Kyle SPORE is responsible for 911.

Everything Else / Anna Nicole is Dead
« on: February 08, 2007, 01:07:06 pm »

It seems that Anna Nicole has collapsed in the hospital, and shortly after died. Now, wasn't it not long ago her son died? Now it's probably just an overdose or something, but I can't help but get suspicious over this.

And now I've been the first one on the forum to report 2 celebrity deaths before everyone else.

Movies / Bridge to Terabithia
« on: February 05, 2007, 02:48:30 pm »
I have not been filled with his much rage over a movie since.....EVER!

This is the most horrible abomination ever created, judging from the trailers. It seems that all they left from the books was the title! It's obviously trying to grapple onto the post LotR fantasy movie trend, but that wasn't what the book was about at all. It was a serious, down to Earth story that many people could relate to. Such s shame they are turning this from a great book to "Lil' Legolas and Catwoman vs. Narnia (With a sideplot about some emotional thing!)".

Anybody else read the book and is disgusted with the movie?

Spore: Creation Corner / This thread is dead, please move along.

Maultenia is a very interesting planet, which is still not fully understood by scientists. It is technically just a small ball of an unknown element found nowhere else in the universe. This element, which will be call Maltium, is melted even at extremely cold temperatures, and therefore is a continuous ball of angry, hot fury when put in space. It has a high gravity, and therefore attracts many different things into it's atmosphere. The layers are labeled by the alphabet, with A being in the center, B one layer out, etc.

A. The center sphere of Maltium. Similar to Earth's core.
B. A ball of molten material wrapped closely around the core. Perfect environment for the creation of rare gems, which are thrust into layer D.
C. The lower atmosphere of Maultenia. High in methane, oxygen, and helium. Very hot near the bottom, mild at the top. Capable of life.
D. Small rocks and gems that orbit Maultenia like an asteroid belt. Full of rare materials. Capable of life, with a thin atmosphere and low gravity.
E. Last area with any sort of atmosphere. Past here the molecules are very far spaced. Capable of life. Not too windy, cold.
F. Most outer layer. Contains huge rocks that could act as entire countries. Again, contains minerals but might require more mining than layer D. Might be capable of life.

Maultenia is, obviously, a very different environment than most. It's an untapped resource, with strange creatures. What will be t's fate? How will the creatures adapt? Only time will tell!

Well my my! It appears that Malt has created some sort of Metalcratic Monstrosilization!

Qub_1.00056007.exe aka The Qub_, is a program. Created near 200 space-years ago by a big space-company that wanted a quick way to make some space-dollars. The idea was brilliant, construct an easily reproducible salesman that could work 24/7(Or the space-equivalent of 24/7), and convince any space-sucker that they needed a pair of extremely large space-nail clippers more than they needed space-air. Well, the person tasked with creating this program apparently sucked at it. The Qub_ are generally pretty bad salesman, but they sure are persistent. They have only one main task: profit.

The Qub_ don't necessarily need to look any specific way, being basically just an AI program stuck in a heap of junk metal. However, they are all constructed with a basic model in mind. It's meant to look vaguely organic(Though it fails completely at this), so buyers won't be turned off. They all speak with the same voice, a strange middle ground between generic robot and late night infomercial-guy. They have no emotions, and therefore don't care if they rip off anybody. Have I mentioned that the Qub_ aren't even good robots? They're rusty, and often missing parts.

Now, for a little bit of history about the Qub_.  When the now defunct company made them, they spent quite a bit of money, and they were already losing their stranglehold on the market. The Qub_, being horrible salesman, didn't help them at all. In fact, everybody's favorite robot salesman soon left them, seeing that their profit would be greater if the company didn't take their space-monies. So, under the direction of Qub_ #76,201, they revolted and turned the planet the company was based on into a desolate wasteland, perfect for robots. They then hollowed it out, and constructed a factory in it's center. This planet isn't the race's home, however. Merely, it's just a place where the program is put into junk metal that they find lieing around.  The newly-constructed bots are now free to go wherever. It's not known who operates this factory, or why they would do this, but something is obviously strange about it.

Everything Else / Reverse Graffiti
« on: January 24, 2007, 08:15:29 am »
It seems that some taggers are taking to the streets

No, it's not community service, they're cleaning of grime to create art. Similar to regular graffiti, it can be anything from a name to a picture.

I personally think it's great. It's not permenantly ruining a surface, if they want it off of their walls the owner can just wash the rest or wait. AT this point I think any prosecution would just be against expression, rather than vandalism, and that's not good.

Forum Games / The "Who Would Win in a Fight?" Game!
« on: January 13, 2007, 05:31:27 pm »
It's simple, just post "_____ vs. _____". Then, the next poster will say who they think would win, providing a reason(if they want). They will then post their own fight, etc. That's it.

To start this off interestingly.....

The Unstoppable Force vs. The Immovable Object!

A couple months ago me and my family went to San Fransisco. My favorite part by far was Chinatown, which had some awesome products including a weapon called, THE SUPER KNIFE!!!

But what really caught my attention were quarter machines on every street that had little toys.

Little. Toy. Eggs.

Update History
12/17/06-Created thread
12/18/06- Made artpad drawing and talked about religion
12/28/06- Planet info
12/29/06- Evolution info
1/3/07- A picture.
1/5/07- Added some non-CoR creatures.

Planet, Culture, and just about everything else info

Well, well, well. The creative corner brings me back in again. I'm kind've sad about it because I'll probably just quit and start this process over again, but I need to flex my creative muscle somehow. I think the main thing I'm doing this time is that I won't worry about pictures at all. I might do a few sketches or graphs, but I don't really NEED them. THOUGH I WOULD ACCEPT ART WINKWINKNUDGENUDGE. Well, now that I'm done with that, here's some info on my new creature, who I think you'll find mighty interesting.

The CoR are a unique race. They are parasitic creatures, which cannot survive on their own. They appear to be nothing more than a slender pink eyestalk. They are usually about 4 feet in length at adulthood(thought it differs, I'll explain later.). They have a single gigantic eye which is mostly yellow with a variably colored pupil. They have 3 short tubes protruding from their back which have a triple purpose. They send out heat, help insulate eggs, and help infants eat.. When they are not hooked into a host, they have 4 "tentacles" coming from their base, which allow them to move slowly on the land and swim easily in the water. They end in barbed spikes, which are used to implant the CoR into the creature's spine.

The CoR can see heat, which helps them in communication and in finding a suitable host. They can attach themselves to any animal with warm blood, a brain, and a spine. They stay in the creature for life, and control it directly by creating electrical impulses that go through the spine and into the brain. The absorb enough food to support themselves and then give the rest to their host. This makes their culture very unique, because not everyone has the same host creature, and therefore talks, eats, and moves differently.

(Stay tuned for more, more, moreeeeee!)
