Spore: Sporepedia Exchange / Rikis' Wild Worlds!
« on: June 30, 2009, 10:55:24 pm »
So I finally got GA and after a few hours, I finished a very basic adventure.  This mission is very simplistic, as it was mostly a tutorial for me:

Not so quick fix!

Can you help a stranded crew fix their ship and get off an undeveloped planet?

Spore: General / GA Question
« on: June 29, 2009, 02:40:18 pm »
I stopped playing/keeping up with Spore shortly after GA was announced.  I think I remember seeing that in a teaser video for GA, you were able to make your own planets.  I recently got GA but can't seem to find any option to create/modify a planet.  Am I being oblivious and not seeing the obvious button or was that feature simply not added?

Spore: General / Question about the CC, Spore, and EA
« on: August 31, 2008, 09:03:39 pm »
Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could help me out here.  I thought that if you bought the full CC, you'd get those $10 discounted off the entire game when you bought it.  So I tried to preorder it from the EA store, and saw that it wasn't discounted for me.  I thought no biggie and went through my EA emails about the CC, but none of them had a promotional code to get the discount from the full game.

So it left me wondering, do you really get a discount, or do you have to pay the $50 to get Spore?  If you do get the discount, which email is the code sent to?  The statement one, or the email that sends you to findmyorder.com?

Thanks in advance.

I wanted to be part of the crowd  :-[

Anyways, I'll post some pictures and videos (when I get to the videos that is) of my creations.  Didn't really get to play around too much with it today due to EA's ineptitude, but that's neither here nor there.

Here's my account link: http://www.spore.com/view/profile/Alelo

Alroaxt

The creature that I want to take to sentience and beyond in the actual game, general info is in the link in my signature, that hasn't been updated in ages as I kinda lost interest.

Though it isn't as sharp as I had hoped, it is decent enough for me.  In-game it turned out to be much more birdlike than I imagined, though that's not necessarily a bad thing.

False Crown

When I first created this, it was a carnivore cause it was with the free version.  But I made it more of a pig like herbivore.

Watch out, it can poison you!

Hjikli

A camouflage insect with a nasty bite and an even worse headbutt.

Another creature which I created with the free trial version, though when I updated to the paid full version, I changed its poison spit weapon.

Pliteko

Yet another insect.  This one is kinda two headed, but not fully.

And yep, again another free trial creature.

Plonits

This was my first truly all new full trial version.  Originally meant to be the biggest creature I could make, I changed my mind somewhat in the beginning when I wanted a large herbivore.  Its only defense is its size, not much attack wise.

Rebhe

This is mostly a joke creature.  While the Plonits is huge, this one is smaller.  While the plonits has great defense, this one is jam packed with weapons.  And yes, it is a herbivore, so you can probably avoid it.

T'wanten

I was going to make a purely snake creature, but I ended up with this.  I started it with the free version and finished it with the paid version.  I can see this becoming sentient.

Kaah

A distant cousin of the Hjikli, this one lives in the desert.

Spore: General / Need Some Help
« on: June 18, 2008, 09:42:27 am »
Hello all, haven't posted in this forum in years, and now that the CC is finally out, I've come looking for my old stomping grounds.  Anyways, my question pertains to one of my creatures, http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=usr-Alelo%3Asast-500000546970.  I was hit with the disappearing creatures bug when I first started using the CC.  Now that I fixed it by cutting it out, starting and closing the CC, and then pasting them in again, this is the one creature that will not show up.  I've tried deleting the file and downloading it from sporepedia, and before that I tried removing it from the folder and putting it back in numerous times.

I was wondering if anyone could download the creature and see if it shows up in their CC?  I'm afraid I've lost the creature and will have to remake it, if it doesn't work on anyone else's program.  Or if it does work, then it's just mine and it sucks.

Spore: Creation Corner / New Creature - Alroaxt
« on: March 14, 2006, 11:07:56 pm »
While avoiding doing fixing up my french paper, I decided to doodle for a bit. I have a total lack of artistic skills, so I tried my best. Also, been lurking the forums for a couple of weeks and decided to finally register. Anyways, here it is:

The Alroaxt

Edit: Updated with a color picture

This creature is a graceful, and wise one that has two natural weapons. Its tail (which was obviously inspired by a scorpion's) can puncture any hide, fur, or scale, and leave a gaping wound to its victim. Although it lacks poison, the gash caused by the attack is vulnurable to infections. Its second weapon are its strong legs which it can use to leap into the air and claw at its prey. While they do have wings, they are usually used for show, or to glide short distances. Their hard helm like structure at the top of the skull is a vestigial feature that was used by males to headbutt each other in order to mate.

They are very religious, and are called zealots by other races. Though they are physically weak, they are extremely agile as their slender body allows them to twist and turn almost without limits.
