Even on TV i refuse to watch dutch soaps because they just suck so badly. (Maybe its because in English i can't tell that the people are acting so badly :p)

It's not the fact that they are dutch that make soaps suck.

I can't remember all the nicks I have used in games and on the net through time. It allways end up with someone else taking my nickname before me when I try out some new game or forum, so I have stopped using fictive names and use my real one instead. I realize that Kai will be taken most of the time, so I use KaiSan as well.

Don't be too disappointed if the creature do not act like you want it to. It is a generated animation afterall, and I believe we have little say in how it will look in the end. I think that is some of the point as well, to make and evolve a creature until it's "perfect".

I idle on a million IRC servers/channels already, why not add this one to the list?

Explain to me what the point of being present in the channel is good for if you're not chatting? Do you acctually read the logs at bed before you go to sleep or something?

The channel needs some leadership by the way. As of now there's only one real leader on it (Xolver). And he seems to be gone at the moment. And for the love of bananas, please have some sense about who you give op-powers to.

Gaming Steve would be a good example of someone you could trust with OP if he was interested in joining the chatroom.

Not to shock you or anything, but the average age of gamers is up to 30 from 28 in 1998. ;D

I believe that is the average physical age. Not the mental age. Also bear in mind that writing on the internet in chat channels and forums, gives you a -5 modifier to wisdom and intelligence as well as a -6 to charisma. That is unless you have a girlsname and a random number between 14 and 19 behind your nickname, in which case you receive a +10 modifier to charisma against other internet dwellers.

Answer to Raudokur

Well, This game is oriented toward technical advancement when you get further out in it. There's no stage where you have to acquire fuel and maintenance (as far as I know) for your UFO as it is really just the toolset you have later on in the game. It's not meant to be a creature or unit in any way. It's irrelevant what kinda parts it's made up of, just as it is irrelevant what parts the buildings are made up of. So if you let your imagination run a bit, you can think to yourself that this ship is evolved from a supercreature you made in your factory (Yes, I know you want this to have meaning in the game).

I really don't think they are going to make a fork in the game where you decide if your spacegame should be driven by visiting other planets and inhabiting them, or scoot around in space looking for different kinds of spacecreatures to eat. At least there's no indication from interviews or other sources that this is something that will be implemented. Seems Will had a pretty clear vision of having simple goals for each stage. Just two or three main goal.

It's an idea tho. From biology to technology, then decide if you're gonna go with nature and develop your creature further with the help of technology, or if you want to use technology itself to progress. In truth, we're still evolving as humans.

I don't think you will have much of a problem making your ship organic. I assume you will have access to the texture editor for most of the items you make including the creatures, so why not add fur or feathers to your spaceship. I kinda like the idea of making a round little ball with lots of fur and sending it into space, as my version of the UFO, recking havoc on the nearby aliens.

As I saw from the screenshots and the video, there's only 4 different "building types" that have meaning in the game. What they look like or if they are organic or metal is beside the point. Your choice in other words. Maybe it's the same for vehicles and UFOs.
