Yes, quite true.

I would like to see how energy beings/creatures could be handled.

Some of the later creatures Will was showing in the editor, like the 'Tweety bird' that handles like a Ford Explorer :D, seem to have little limit on their physical features such as mouths, eyes and limbs, not to mention body shape.

Anyway, nothing conclusive, but your creature's physiology may be less limited by 'costs' and things than has been hinted at.

That's pretty likely. I'd think city size would have some kind of limit, even if it's only by your available resources. Otherwise, go for your life, just cover a whole planet or two with cities and keep some agri and arboreal worlds to feed them ;D

And building size will probably be limited by resources too. If you want a tower to look really tall you could just make the rest of your buildings short...I'm sure there will be enough flexibility to keep the Barad-dr and CN tower look-alikes big enough.

If procedural sounds are used in any way you should be able to record your own sounds (provided you have a microphone at home ;D) and then adjust them using basic modulation tools. The game could then take a base set of sounds, a few samples that you make, and incorporate them into your creature. Using the procedural effects, first based on the physiology of the creature (does it have a resonance chamber in its head? Does it telekinetically create the atmospheric vibrations?) then based on the mood or action of the creature at the time eg. growling and sharp is angry et cetera.

Lol. I have all those in a single volume. Probably the biggest book I have!

Crazy series though.

Arcologies (ys?) would be a great idea. Civilised cultures (all of them that we know about ;D) tend to mess up their planets' ecology...so while the thing heals, or destroys, itself pack everyone up into a box, or Arcology, and leave the planet to it.

It looks great!

If I was designing it though, I'd have the (a) screeny of the micro-stage goop with an amoeba in the middle and when it wraps around the back it turns into a starfield with a UFO in the middle!

Actually I'll make one after my exams this week.

Expect it on...Friday? hopefully I'll get time.

I'd love to see others' ideas in the meantime ;D
