After Fahrenheit, anything that team does has my interest! I'm glad there's new info about the game, finally.

I'm hugely, HUGELY disappointed about the PS3 exclusivity, seeing as how it will likely be years before I purchase a PS3...

What a game, congratulations, Spain. I guess all the strength the Germans showed on the other games wasn't enough to stop the Furia.

What strength? The only game where they played well was vs. Portugal...all the others were riddled with missed passes as well as a major lack of defense and midfield play - and this was once again evident in the final. They played well individually, but not as a team.

Spain absolutely deserved the win (despite the head-butt...they showed some great passing skills at times), but I speculate whether Spain-Portugal wouldn't have been the more interesting game...
Lehmann has been getting a lot of heat here (Hungary), but you can have the best goalkeeper in the world, and he'll still let a few through if he doesn't have a defense supporting him (besides Metzelder).

I'm German, by the way ;)

Civ IV (PC) - After 2 years, the bug has bitten me again...HARD!
Sins of a Solar Empire (PC) - when it's not Civ's this.
Breath of Fire (SNES) - almost 15 years after buying it, I resolved to finally make it through this one....but MAN it's long!
Jack Keane (PC) - not as good as all the German reviews, not as bad as all of the North American ones - just good fun with minor annoyances. Right now I'm a bit a wedding dress, holding a frying pan, and not knowing who to hit over the head with it.

well, you do need extreme amounts of patience.

That's exactly it - it's typically a VERY slow game, and simply maintaining the status quo (aka, not being taken over by much larger neighbors, for example) is one of the biggest rewards, so either be prepared for that, or look up the cheat codes online to fuel a globe-spanning conquest as Ansbach ;)

If that's what you like, then certainly purchase this massive time sink like I did  ;D

I've enjoyed what's been released so far of Unforgotten Realms.

Videogame Theater is ok also.

Drawn in Pain doesn't do it at all for me....although I only watched the second episode.

The first episode of De-Rez was a flop for me as well, but many more have been released since - I should check them out.

Ok, the various merits of all of these can be argued and reargued, but the one shocker on this list is Mystic Quest - that game was bad. B A D! The only reason it got any sort of following is that it had the Final Fantasy name slapped onto it!

Own, and have played all of them except Final Fantasy V, and Lufia II. Only finished Final Fantasy IV, VI, and LoZ: ALttP however (and came very close with Mystic Quest...mostly out of sheer stubborness).

I certainly had the impression that 9999 may mean 9999 or it may mean 20386.

Disciples 2. Anyone got that, or am I the only one? That happens alot, I seem to find the most obscure games. But it doesn't always happen. So, am I the only one or not?

I played a few rounds of that a few years ago, but then became distracted by other games. Still, what I played was nice.

Definitely enjoyed playing through this in January, but I gave up on stylus controls pretty quickly. Standard D-pad and buttons is so much faster and more accurate.

Of course, I voluntarily grind a lot so that I don't run into difficulties in "the next section", so my play time by the end was fairly massive. Still, it doesn't annoy me. Grinding is something I can mindlessly do while doing something else as well.

If I get something (it's looking like the $300 version), it'll go to buying food and paying for utilities.  :-\

Console Games / Re: Have any of you owned a Sega?

Bought new: Genesis 1, SegaCD (small version), and 32X

Bought used long after their retail life: Master System, Saturn, Dreamcast, and Nomad.

One title explains why it was worth owning a Genesis/Mega Drive - Gunstar Heroes. Co-op.

I have none, but I would have a Wii if I could find a US site that has them in stock where I wouldn't have to buy a huge bundle and then wait a month or more.

Although the two problems I face are - I'm halfway through; would I restart the entire story to see the added content in the beginning, or do I finish and THEN replay? ....will save games of the original edition even be compatible with the new?

Then of course there is the deluge of games I have to play with not much time to play anymore...

I do certainly look forward to the new stuff, and might even re-buy the game if it's impressive enough to reward the devs.

I can't decide - a developer listening to complaints and providing additional content to customers, or a second attempt to make money off of a game by adding a few features and repackaging?

Considering my love for the game, I'll believe in the first option...and I'm really looking forward to it!

The thing that nags me now is that I want to experience the first 3 chapters again with the new additions...but that's around 30 hours of playtime!

The star craft community wanted to hang me for not playing on the fastest speed...

That's why I mostly played the Age of Empires series around that time...fastest speed doesn't really lend itself to reactive strategy as much as clicking your pre-match plan into action as fast as possible.
