From what I've heard so far, the noises are okay. I just kind of wished they had a bit more variety in their calls, and that they weren't immediately recognizable.

Wow this is my first post in forever.

My profile is over here:
I seem to have a lot of trouble uploading things, though.

Apparently the French magazine clarified about aging and stuff. Everything is gradual, and how a Sim ages will depend on the personality and history of the Sim. Sims learn to be wary of things that hurt them, too. If they're really bad at cooking, and they burn their food alot, they might refuse to make dinner because they're scared of burning the food.

I hope the Inappropriate Trait will make a Sim say the wrong thing, but not in a rude or mean way. That got me thinking, if a Sim has enough bad conversations with people, would that make them not want to talk to anyone? If someone tried to talk to them, would they cut off the conversation and walk away? Gah, I wish it was the 19th. I want to know more...

Out of all the things I've heard about The Sims 3 so far, I'm most interested in the Traits. Since there are 80 or so, and we can only choose five for each Sim, and there are two different types of Traits (those that apply to the 'strategic' elements of the game, like how Genius, for example, helps you learn skills faster, and those that determine personality, such as Brave or Paranoid), I'm wondering, if we choose all strategic-based Traits, what will determine that Sim's personality. If anything. And I'm also really hoping for a Situational Trait, so the Sim will have completely off-the-wall reactions to everything.

I also really hope they don't make the file sizes too big this time around - in The Sims 2, the file sizes for downloadable content took up a lot of space. Along those lines, I hope it will be a lot easier to create new, really bizarre clothing, and whacked out hair. I mean, I want to be able to create a Sim that greatly resembles someone as eccentric-looking as this with relative ease, or at least no need to be an expert in 3-D modeling programs.

Hmm...the creatures. I haven't had much experience with them, since the only expansion pack I bought was Seasons, but I do like the idea of werewolves and aliens, so long as they're not just another Sim with an altered appearance and a couple of exclusive social options.

so like what the hell do we do run around trying to find hunters to shoot us?
No. It's a "peaceful" game. I didn't play it that long myself. Nothing is going to attack you, you can't get injured in any way, you basically explore, dance, cast magic spells that change your pelt/mask color, and roar in each other's faces.

I can't say anything anyone hasn't already, but I really hope we can modify the actual wing shape. Now that I know how big creatures can get (assuming the trees were the same size of the ones we have on Earth), I am totally going to try to create

Basically there's magic and you can interact with the other deer and such, but in order to not play as a guest you have to register on the site - look for a link that says "name your deer."

Wonder how that would turn out.
He'd fall on his face every time he took a step.

At least we get to see an elk kick wolf ass. :\ I'll still keep an eye on it, just because you're not a humanoid. Durgon's right, the forums are entertaining. :)

The graphics aren't that good. Apparently they've been working on it since October 2006. Heck, I'd say even an image as small as this looks better than the full-sized screenshots on the WolfQuest site...

Dang, you got me all excited. I thought you were talking about a game that was coming out soon, not one that was released in 1995...

Not to mention the fact that in that one place's HP rejuvenation centers you have to use up a ton of your mana, and there are all those boring mini-games you have to go through in the process...

My perfect game, is coming out in 25 days.
What game would that be?

A lot of people are really excited about that game. I don't understand what's so great about it, personally.

When I read the title of the topic I thought it said Wrath of the Lion King.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I really, really doubt any person is causing this - I've never made anyone mad, especially not on the Internet. I would use a different client, but it's the only way I know of to contact a few people. I will probably update my AIM version, though.

Everything Else / The AIM problem

Recently, just about every day, and tonight every time, I've been having a flood of AIM spam I managed to take a picture of before AIM crashed.

View the horror that is this:

At that time I was searching to see if anyone else has had this problem. Does anyone know how to fix it? It happens almost instantly I try to sign-in to AIM, so I have no time to check 'Only accept messages from buddies' or whatever.
