It's funny, 'cause my nan says cheerio when she says goodbye. But I bet you named it after the cereal.

Actually I'm named after the Cheerio Effect. It's a thing, I swear. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheerio_effect

Alright, ITT everybody is keeping their same opinions and going in circles(me included) and lurk won anyway so I think I'm gonna leave.

Wow I am really just baffled. You realized they are alive, yes? But you didn't even think that they, you know, felt pain? I just don't understand how a 10 year old possibly be that, well, stupid.

That's exactly my point. Kids are illogical and stupid. Hell, even 13-year-olds do stuff that would literally make you put your hands on your face, wondering how anyone could be that stupid.

If your kid is that illogical and stupid, they are not excused from it.

HAHA WOW WHEN YOU EXAGGERATE THINGS LIKE THAT THEY SURE DO SOUND STUPID. I GIVE UP!

Parents are not excused from letting their child out of sight, even if they are reading an info board.

Normal children do not see an animal exhibit, AT A ZOO, A PLACE THAT HE KNOWS IS WHERE ANIMALS LIVE, and think "UH DURRRRRRRRRR I SHOULD KILL THIS BECAUSE I AM A DICK".

Sorry for double posting but...

Man, I can't wait to finally go on a trip to the UK. I just love it's history.

Oh yeah, me too! What's your favorite part? I personally like the oppressive monarchy period best. WHAT GREAT PEOPLE.

America is fine if you're not a big whiner.

What?

Are you saying that all British people are inherently bad people because we have a monarchy?

You sir, are a douche.

No, that's not even close to what I was saying and you'd realize that if you had taken the time to read what I quoted. He remarked that he "loooooooooooooooooooved" the history of England, which is kind've a lame and terrible one full of terrible rulers.

And MetallicDragon, that actually really bad. AT 10 your sister didn't realize that animal could feel pain? At 10 she thought fish had INK in their eyes? Some children have already started puberty at 10!

I don't think it's that we didn't think they felt pain, we just never considered if they did or not. Eventually I wondered if the fish actually feel pain and from then on I was put off from fishing. And the fish did have some black goo in their eyes. And just because they are starting puberty doesn't really affect their reasoning at all, if it doesn't reduce their reasoning capability.

Kids will do extremely illogical things, especially pre-teens. Seriously, someone who you'd think is pretty smart probably did some extremely stupid things in their childhood.

Wow I am really just baffled. You realized they are alive, yes? But you didn't even think that they, you know, felt pain? I just don't understand how a 10 year old possibly be that, well, stupid.

Drugs drugs the magical fruit the more you take the more you see the more you see the crazier you are so take some drugs with every meal.

Wait, Uro, you don't think that the child should be taken away from his parents? You think they weren't bad parents? First of all, they didn't teach their child right from wrong when it comes other life. Second of all, they left him alone, IN A ZOO. He almost crawled into the croc cage! And if you think this incident will totally make them watch him closer, wrong. It's actually a lot harder to change parent's habits than children's.

And MetallicDragon, that actually really bad. AT 10 your sister didn't realize that animal could feel pain? At 10 she thought fish had INK in their eyes? Some children have already started puberty at 10!

Yannick, that's exactly why I'm saying he SHOULD be punished, severely. And not just with an ass whooping(though they will help).

Here's some personal suggestions of mine, they may or may not suit your taste but they're all pretty awesome.

Rockan'/Rollan'
-The White Stripes
-Velvet Revolver
-Rx Bandits
-Tenacious D
-Foo Fighters

Hip-Hop
-The Roots
-Nujabes
-Run DMC
-Snoop Dogg(the good stuff)
-Madvillain
-k-os

Other
-Neutral Milk Hotel(kind've Indie/folky/rocky but really good)

Try not to get turned off by my hip-hop recommendations. Rage Against the Machine blends hip-hop, rap, and funk into their songs anyways so you're halfway there.

I think you guys are forgetting that 7=/= 2.

7 year olds have reasoning. They SHOULD have morals. This kid didn't. If you could meet 7 year old you, I t hink you'd be surprised that they would most likely NOT DO THIS.

13
i blame the zoo itself for having inept security to keep idiot kids like the aforementioned away.

Urrite the kid didn't do anything wrong at all and certainly didn't take pleasure in killing rare lizar--OH WAIT

Alright, I'm not really in the mood right now to do the whole multiple quote thing, but here's my argument in special condensed form.

Being seven does not excuse him. He is old enough for reasoning, and I assume he doesn't have a mental deficiency in any way besides being a possible future serial killer. Yes, he is being taught morals from his parents, but so is an 18 year old, and we punish them as adults.  This kid deserves some severe punishment, and to be taken away from those parents who obviously taught him wrong. But I fear that the damage may already be done.

Now that I look back though, I really was overreacting on some points and I mostly agree with you Uro.

However, I honestly don't think that "Let's be nice and feed this crocodile" was what was going through his mind. He saw no worth in the animals on display and knew that bigger animals at smaller animals. He fed his need for mindless destruction by taking a lizard and subjecting it to pain and death.

As far as ants go, I did say that being fanatical about the ant burning was bad. But if they saw somebody do it on TV once or something and did it for a few minutes that's just being impressionable and will wear off. If you notice, children's shows don't often advocate taking animals from cages at the zoo and feeding them to other animals.

Portable Games / Re: Smash Bros DS?

I'd say no to sprites (too limiting) but yes to low-rez 3D models.

Wha-what?

Oh, you're one of those people who think that sprites are ugly. Right.

Nice looking sprites>>>>>>>>>>>Crappy 3D models any day of the week.

The N64 is a much less visually appealing system to me than the SNES.
