because im sitting in a wow queue I thought id offer some help for fixing your computer.

These are all free programs that will get the job done.

Avast antivirus

Run this program and allow it to be updated, then open it.  Click the button and go to "schedule a boot-time scan"  (most virus scanners will miss plenty of them because they load after windows does, giving viruses time to hide, a boot scan scans your computer before windows is loaded).  Once you find your first one, and you will find some, either sit there and send every one manuallly or tell it to send them to the chest automatically, you can look at a log later.

This scan will take hours depending in how full your hard drive is.

Spybot sd

This one you run and update.  Then immunize.  Then run a scan, this should take a half of an hour.  fix the results

clean my registry

This will clean out your system registry and solve a lot of performance problems  This one is very easy to use.  It will take a few minutes.

This one will finish off anything that is left  I cant remember how long it takes.

The only thing left to note is that avast and spybot both have active scanning devices in your toolbar down by the clock.  If you have an old or slow computer you may want to disable the active scanners and just give yourself a checkup now and again.

hey what do you know, i can log in now:)

Everything Else / will wright and others political contributions

Remember the days of the before time, when every article about will was worthy?  Let the good times roll!

I found it suprising so many went democratic, republicans on the whole tend to support the game industry at least in a business sense.  But of course most people dont vote or contribute based on one issue, i just find it interesting.

i once took over a system that had 4 sad faces per 3 colonies on the planet.

The worse that happened was i got an alert that they were unhappy, granted i fixed it but id had it for a while before it became an issue.

i cant say whether its active or not, but they are planning to make a way for you to invalidate old activations to free them up again.

just as we can select what we publish, it would be nice if we could mark other peoples slightly modified as such.

I like my own color schemes but admire the work of many.

i too like the mega bomb from high altitude method, its really fun to watch them slowly fall down to the city and see what they hit.

Just as an aside... FYI there is a plan to allow extra screen names.  If your goal is to get a second account for a family member... hopefully they will get that up and running soon.

i havent heard that anywhere.  They are relaxing the 3 limit install but i havent heard a thing about allowing more accounts.  Do you have a source on that?

i absolutely hate securom.  It will run processes when you do or dont play the game, it can slow down your computer a bit because of the constant running.

but no its not going to destroy your computer.

just adding my voice to the choir, it really hampers my in game desire to comment on creatures.

im sure there's some other timed timer that would trigger the other tribes to appear, but it is a good question.

of course you eventually run out of people to make and huts to build so if you don't do something with that first tribe or gather more resources you're kind of stuck.

whatever your strategy its helpful, if youre peaceful theyll all leave it alone.

If youre at war they have a habit of attacking your weaker areas, so have  a few "bait" systems to keep them busy.

they key to the grox is that they wont settle anything but t-0, its not about capture its about environment.

Although i plan to test if its possible to become friends with them using the planet buster enough times, i think they were meant to be destroyed.

i guess it depends on the size of your empire and wether you get the spice extender, but Ive found that most of high production goes to waste because of the time it takes to do the rounds.

Although Ive only had an issue with happiness when i took a foreign colony with 2 sad face and ignored it, even then it just said they were over worked, nothing threatening.  That was on hard.

another advantage is after the first tribe appears, build and do whatever you want and gather just under 100 food in your bank.  100 food triggers the other nations to start appearring, so before you hit 100, ally or kill the first tribe, its really the only time you can gather without any worry.
