I've been pondering what a fish would look like on the planets of your aliens.
Not everyone evolves from a fish.

That's not what Ichthy is trying to say. He means that fish all have a general, streamlined body shape, because that is the most effective form for the water. He's wondering if you'd have things like three-torsoed fish or somthing strange like that, and how you would explain the evolutionary biology behind it.

This is true. And Will is very clear that he wants the gamer to be able to create their own stories. A built-in calendar system might help that, but it could also hinder it, unless the player could customize it completely (3 moths to a year with 120 days, or anything in between). So it might be best just to leave it ambiguous.

How? Sticks and stones? Won't harm a stargate... very tough...

They could always bury it... That's exactly what various primitive societies are told to do after SG-1 visits them. And they could dig it up once they are ready for contact with the outside world.

Anyways... we need more babies! More people=larger workforce! And, although at first it will require a greater material investment of food and clothing, it will pay off in the end.
