Spore: General / Re: Creatures you DO want to see

You know you want one.
BUHHH I saw that on Yahoo! the other day and wanted to pick one up for myself. I love tapirs. I think I'm going to make some kind of post-tapir creature in Spore that's bipedal and nearing sapience. Damn that's cute.

It would be really nice if WW or someone would just come out and say what's included at this point, since now it will be finishing touches and marketing.
Unless that has already happened. >.<
Otherwise there is tons of speculation and doubt.

I'd like to build outposts in every system so I can rally to any threat quickly and field an offensive from multiple sites throughout the galaxy.

You know, that three-eyed fish that is always swimming near the nuclear power plant.

Cool! You should post the pics under the picture sticky thread at the top.

Well I think if you save the pictures to your desktop, upload to a hosting site like Photobucket, and copy the html code, you should be able to post it in a reply to the image archives thread.

I think the humpapotamus is related to the dromedary camel.  ;D
More so than you might have thought!  ;) (though the Humpapotamus is long gone extinct.... ><)

(Plz ignore the humming bird skeleton)
Well it makes a good point that the two are related because they share the same bones, which serve generally the same purpose.

Egh. Modding makes my head hurt... I'll leave it up to the Joes and Janes that can turn their computer on without using the Owner's Manual.

I guess I'm biased, too.  I like the game as it sounds now, so I'm disturbed by people clamoring for underwater civs, flying creatures, infantry in the civ stage, massive interstellar war, and multiplayer modes (none of which I don't think we can absolutely say is/isn't in yet anyway).  Those last three just seem to be anti-Spore to me, and I have to resist the urge to tell them to go find another game then, 'cause that's not what Spore's about.  Then I remember, that's not what Spore's about to me.
Well I think it's just not Spore period. It's supposed to be a general-encompass-everything game without going too deep into micromanagement. Infantry/war tactics/etc are reserved for war games or games that outright cater to that crowd. Spore seems to cater to the evolution/intelligent design/cultural aspects of a civilization/etc crowd.

I have a feeling only the avatar will evolve. It did disturb me when Will changed his Lil' Hero avatar (6 legged yellow with stripes) when the eggs hatched and then all the same creatures changed, too. I would hope the parents would remain the same, but from that video it doesn't look that way.

Aeon Flux for sure. I almost walked out of that one.

Under amniota (animals classified by the presence of the amniotic egg), you have synapsids (mammals), diapsids (reptiles), and testudines (turtles).

It's generally accepted that birds evolved from dinosaurs and they are part of the reptilia class. If you study phylogenetics you can see that aves is a paraphyletic group, meaning it doesn't contain all and every member of a common ancestor, which is the case of a monophyletic group (reptiles).
