The game will probably be rated Teen for this very reason. It's online and you can't fully control what people put up there. I just have a question for people: Are you going to let the game randomly put creatures into you game? I've already decided that I'll just find some people who make good sporecasts and subscribe. This way I can still be surprised in game by new creatures but I probably won't get crap creatures.

I think for the best experience you will have to use sporecasts. If you allow any random creature in many of them won't make sense.

I'm going to make a Physics Compliant sporecast.

It was a brainfart. Just let it go.

Cool idea, but way too unfeasible for the time that's left I think.
Maybe not in six days but for september they could do it.

I've had an idea of how to turn this bug into a feature. How about a density slider in the CC. Lets say it goes from 1 to 10.

-At 10 the creature has high density. It is strongly pulled to the ground. Because of it's dense musculature it can hit hard and it's very durable but because it's so heavy it doesn't move as fast. It also consumes energy faster. Think turtle or crab.

-At 5 the creature is of average density. It can move fairly quickly because of a good balance between power and weight. It has an average energy consumption. Think most mammals.

-At 1 the creature has low density. It is filled with gas bladders which make it very buoyant in the atmosphere. It can kind of hop about like when someone is hoping underwater or on the moon. It has low power and speed because it has a limited musculature but it also consumes a lot less energy for the same reason.

Advantages of the system:
-Compromise between editor flexibility and physics: If you made a creature with no legs that doesn't touch the ground the game would simply limit your density slider to 3 or below. So you'll have to use gas bladders if your creature is impossible otherwise. Same thing with making a huge creature with a tiny leg or a leg way to the side. Normally it should fall over. The game will just say "The creature you just made is impossible so it must be using gas bladders to stay upright." and limit you to density 3 or less. If you want to open up higher density simply add solid legs that can support your creature's weight.

-User filtering choice: If you don't like floaties you can simply exclude everyone with density 3 or below. If you love floaties make the game bias for them. If there is a metric for it you can specify what you want or don't want in the search filters.

-More creature customization and playstyle variety: Gassy creatures need less food, take less fall damage and are good at flying but are a bit frail. Average density creatures are fast and average in other attributes. Dense creatures are durable but slower and need more food. But since they probably travel less than the average it works out ok energy wise. There can even be different abilities only available at certain densities.

So what do you think?

'Ireland' is the island which occupies both Northern Ireland, which is part of the UK, and the Republic of Ireland (or Éire), which is a sovereign state.

First of all, I think there should be really smart filters for finding creatures. For example you should be able to specify if you're looking for a herbivore/carnivore, creature size, exclude or include certain parts etc. All of these can be extracted automatically.

If this is done there would be no need to clutter up the tag window with tags that the system can extract automatically. So you will only have tags like 'goofy', 'bee, 'gamingsteve', 'orc', 'lotr', 'phallic' etc. but you wont need tags like 'herbivore' since the computer can easily exclude or include herbivores for you with search filters

I think its ment to be more or less a language thing rather than country.Such as Canada would go with US English spelling and say for another example Ireland which is no there would go with the UK as its Uk English spelling
Ireland is part of the UK. Canada is a separate country from the USA. If they want Canadians and USA..ians to visit the same page it should say 'North America' instead of 'US'.

You know what, UJ, let's kick some arse...

*Canada ftw*
Amen!

In response to this outrage we must now initiate dialogue and explain our point of view and then allow them to explain their point of view and then try to reach a point of mutual understanding whereby all parties are satisfied!

The Portuguese site is still the old version, should I make a topic about it? :X
If you are Portuguese and that bothers you go ahead and make a thread on a Portuguese forum.  :P

Even Taiwan got a section and it's technically part of China.

Maybe the thought "Does this really deserve its own topic?" should have formed in your mind when you decided to post this
If people can make an "I dreamed about spore" thread I think I can make a thread reminding them the forgot an entire country. I hope they remember to sell the game in Canadian stores.

We need a section!
