Do you think a person is holding the bot's leash?  Do they check on the threads it makes and looks for converts, or did they just throw it out there to find forums it was capable of signing up for, post one message, and then leave forever?

Is this the first act of a lazy evangelist, or the last gasp of someone who's knocked on too many doors?

Do you have a soul, christbot?  Where will you spend eternity?

Picked this up in early access.  Definitely needs some kind of tutorial or instructions page, and some special events wouldn't go amiss, but I expect those will get filled in by the full release.

Why isn't it sci fi

cause it ain't "science" fiction - sci-fi is meant to imagine consequences of technological and scientific advances and how they impact society

it's often considered "science fantasy" which is a blend of sci fi and fantasy

This is weird, right?  That the word no one is arguing about is the one that's dropped but the one in contention stays?

Get your act together, English, you're embarrassing us.

Yeah, Moffat actually stuck the landing this time around.  Bill's getaway was a little fairy tale, but actually had groundwork laid out ahead of time and felt deserved.  And Missy's exit was superb.

A mix of peanut-butter, sugar, and borax makes a decent ant bait/killer if you don't have any pets that'll try to lick it up.  Don't go too heavy on the borax, the idea is that they don't die until after they've gotten back to the nest and spread it around.

Peridot does say they're designed to conquer other worlds.  My current theory is that they won the war they were designed to fight.  Not sure if their creators didn't make it that far, met some unfortunate fate afterward, or achieved a state where they no longer had to care, but they're probably not around anymore.  Either way, it's mommy issues all the way down.

It's an alarming trend in children's television.

We still haven't seen White Diamond.

Smart money is on the woman behind the curtain.

Steven wished really hard and Lars became a real boy.

Okay.  No snark.  I can do this.

You know, I can, and it's mostly thanks to you guys.

I came to this forum a very angry, self conscious person.  You helped me gain confidence in my writing and, thank god, improve it, and that was a springboard for a lot of the things I like about myself now.  And these days I'm positively mellow which, looking at the rest of my family, is a small miracle that I'm deeply thankful for.  I don't think I'd have been able to make half the friends I have in real life if I didn't make the ones I have here first.

I know I don't post here a lot anymore, and when I do it's usually some snarky egotistical nonsense, but believe it or not this forum still has a permanent slot as the first tab in my browser.  I may refresh it once a day instead of once an hour these days, but this place means a lot to me, and I'm genuinely glad to have known all of you.

Saw it, loved it.  Really enjoyed a super hero movie with a definitive ending.

But there's just one lingering question for me...  What was the deal with the robot arms.  Seriously, they make such a big deal out of it in the first meeting between the merc and Logan, and all the mercs have them, but they don't really seem to have a point?

If you're starting off, I'd suggest going with 5e.  They simplify a lot of mechanics, and incorporate some of the funner aspects of the old expanded systems right into the core classes.  It doesn't have all the crazy awesome bull**** you can pull off in 3.5 or Pathfinder, but it does tend to move a lot more smoothly.  It's a sleeker, faster tabletop.

Like a cheetah.

Having played a few games of it on both sides of the table, it's a blast, and new players have a much easier time getting a handle on things.
