I think it's a good idea to have a place for people to vent their stupidity.

My first gaming experience was Super Mario Bros. on the NES, which was probably about 10 years ago when I was about 3.

Oddly enough, I just bought the book today. If it's as good as all of you say it is, I should have it read by the end of the month, if not sooner.

But wouldn't Microsoft want it to be better than, not on par with, the PS3 and Revolution?

I'm pretty sure the Final Fantasy series will continue to be on Sony's console.
I agree that it is probable Square Enix will keep making them for Sony's consoles, but I was just pointing out the fact that a pattern MIGHT be forming.

The Sci-Fi channel could just start making other channels a la Discovery. (Just not documentaries)

There could be Star Wars, as GameManic suggested, a classic show channel (older Star Treks, etc), a Stargate channel, etc.

They sure do make these R&C games fast.
And they're still some of the best games available for the PS2.

I LOVE the Final Fantasy series. And I have begun to notice a pattern:

NES: 1-3 (Nintendo)
SNES: 4-6 (Nintendo)

PS1: 7-9 (Sony)
PS2: 10-12 (Sony)

[From here on is a prediction]

XBox 360: 13-15 (Microsoft)
XBox[3]: 16-18 (Microsoft)

[?]: 19-21 (?)
[?][2]: 22-24 (?)

Well? Seem like anything plausible?

Anyway, the XBox 360 gets my vote.

Woohoo!

$10 gift certificate to Amizon!

By the way, Steve, is there any way that you could prove to my skeptical mom that you're not a child molester?

There are quite a few games coming out for the DS that look pretty good, AWDS obviously one of them, but the problem is that the earliest any of them will be coming out is about September.

Stargate SG-1
Stargate Atlantis

Can I use both of those? If not:

Stargate SG-1
Smallville

I'm going out on a limb here, but may I suggest the yet-to-be-published Magic the Gathering books in the Ravnica block? Ravnica is one giant city and the Magic world is obviously fantasyish. The MTG books are also not for children. Just over 300 pages with well over 200 words per page. (This statistic is based on a previous Magic book.) The only bad thing is that the first book isn't due out until about October of this year, I'm guessing.

I finished The Boxes. Amazing.

Sleator really has a talent for character growth. It's usually so subtle that you never notice it unless you start the book over from the beginning, but Sleator puts it right out in the open.

Also, is Marco's Millions a sequel to The Boxes? I'm just guessing because of the name in the title and what Annie did at the end of The Boxes that involved millions of dollars.
