PC Games / Win a free copy of And Yet It Moves!
« on: May 06, 2009, 07:34:48 pm »
Has anyone here played And Yet It Moves??  If not, you should!  It's an amazing game by ACE Team developed for the PC/Mac.

The game itself is a lot of fun, utilizing handdrawn graphics in a 2D ever-changing and rotating canvas.  The game itself is $19.99 and available on Steam and D2D, but before you buy it...

...over at Noktral Gaming we're running a contest to give away five (5) copies of the game for free!  Details and much more are available at our site at !

I look forward to some of your entries and I'm sure you'll love the game!

Everything Else / Noktral Gaming opens!
« on: April 15, 2009, 12:27:10 pm »
Hello everyone!  Steven here.  You may remember me back when Steve picked up a few contributors for the site.  I've decided to open up my own gaming blog/website/endeavor and I finally got it online!

I'm already on a few PR lists so I have the ability to get review and preview copies of games from several companies, as well as some news and interviews here and there.

Problem is, as always, it's a little dead of a startup.  If you're looking for a new place for gaming discussion, be sure to give it a shot!

As for the layout, I'm in the process of hiring someone to make one for us; this one is just temporary.

We're currently recruiting as well!  We need:
Web Developer - Layout/Template - This is important.  We’d rather not be using this template forever…as a matter of fact, not much longer at all.  We need someone who has the capability to make a unique and exciting layout for our Wordpress Blog.  Obviously experience with this sort of thing before is a must.  Pay for this position is negotiable!

Web Developer - Plugins/Functionality - We have a few ideas laying around that need added to the site as soon as possible.  Various plugins and features to help make Noktral Gaming the best experience for everyone!  If you have the ability to code, let us know!  Pay for this position is negotiable!

Marketing Manager - We need more followers—err, I mean members!  Noktral Gaming wouldn’t be here without our fans, but it’s important to continue growing.  As a marketing manager your job is to increase our number of visitors.  Pay is commission based on performance.

Contributor - Reviewer - Have a keen writing ability?  Love video games?  Want some free ones?!  How about the possibility of getting them before they even come out?!  We’re currently facing a shortage of reviewers to help cover current new games and upcoming games.  Candidate must have the ability to write 2-3 reviews per week in a organized and professional template.  Games are provided for you.  Position is volunteer but you get free games, the ability to attend PR events, a great breakthrough to the games industry, and join the team!

Contributor - Newsroom - Are you just fascinated with gaming news?  Does your RSS feed include every website known to man?  Well, at least the gaming ones?  Or close?  Perhaps becoming a newsroom contributor is for you.  You will be tasked with finding the latest and greatest gaming news and posting it for our followers.  Position is volunteer but is a great position to breakthrough in this industry, attend PR events, and join the team!

Forum Moderator - While everyone loves our forums and the ability to communicate with fellow gamers, sometimes martial law must be enforce.  Okay, well it’s never gotten that bad, but having forum moderators help keep the community safe and sound.  If you have the professionalism and passion to moderate a small and large volume of members, this is the position for you.  Volunteer position, become part of the team!

I look forward to seeing some of you there!  It may be a good place to poke your head in here and there while waiting for Steve to get back full force!

EDIT: Oops I forgot the link!

Just so everyone knows that character in my picture is indeed mine. :)  It's a female blood elf rogue on the server Deathwing.  Her name is Alydia and the gear your looking at is in fact her Arena Season 2 armor and Season 1 weapons.  I'm taking some time away from her though so I can keep content rolling in for you guys :) is here armory link though!

Thanks for the welcome party guys! :D

PC Games / Re: The Decline of Video Games

I feel that quite simply a lot of the major breakthrough type performance games have already been done...Great storylined RPGs have been made...sure u can still make great storylined RPGs, but ull always love the first ones that opened ur eyes to what could be done.

And like starcraft...was basically the first RTS with such a great online feature (Battle Net) and open customizable maps...

Plenty of other RTS games do that now, but it's just not the same because we experienced it the first time, were like wow, and can't be wowed again.

That's just my two sense...We are upgrading now, not revolutionizing.

However, a fully virtual reality MMORPG would pwn us all. :)

Hey guys, just an update!! Got my kickass stuff today, wanna say thanks steve!

I got a really kickass Auto Assault t-shirt and a "Nintendo Dotgraphics Stage Figure".  It's the 2nd one I believe, its really cool looking but of course im keeping it in the box!!! Thanks Steve!

Oh and a question, is it possible to win NTG more than once? ^.^ Or if you see a repeat do you draw another name?

I've seen that image lots of times, but everytime I see it, I notice none of Will's creatures have Will's names (name is cut off)

That's because those other creatures on the screen are ones Will came in contact with.

Not ones he created.  Whereas the one thats closer to the screen WAS created by him, and note the Will Wright?

Yep. I did the day I heard the podcast which was about...2 weeks ago.
