In order to preserve thread and for my own enjoyment...

A Matarissan Fleet is observed entering orbit of the Torpalian planet, escorted by fighters.

Television definitely was amazing. Tom Verlane's current solo stuff is still good, too.
For me, I mostly did the first and second wave of British punk -- Buzzcocks, The Damned, Gang of Four, Magazine, Adverts, The Fall... and also the original California scene -- The Last, The Dils, X. Black Flag (before Rollins joined), The Avengers, Bags, and of course Black Randy And The Metro Squad.
Maybe I'm just old and jaded, but I haven't liked anything new in a long time, only a few things since Bad Religion released No Control in 1989. Even the bands that I really like that are still around (such as NoMeansNo) sound horrible these days, though I will say that the Buzzcocks still put on one hell of a live show.

Good...gooood. The Adverts are so good. And Gaye Advert is really hot. And the Buzzcocks are pretty high up on my list too. Good job man. You know your stuff.

I tend to like most female vocalists, at least when they're working in genres I listen to. Won't catch me anywhere near the country, or most pop for that matter. How about the chicks from Evanescence, Nightwish, Tristania, and the recently mentioned Flyleaf? Or maybe Kittie?  ;D
No, yes, maybe, no, and Hell no, respectively.

If this has turned into a female vocalists thread, I think the Dresden Dolls definitely deserve a mention, although that's about all they have in common with any of the other bands mentioned in this thread.

Honestly, the Dresden Dolls are one of my favorite bands...ever.  ;)

I like this band. Very good post-hardcore, even though they're a little generic. Great lyrics however, and the sound is pretty good.

Do me proud, Operaghost. I know you can really do a good job with the Matarissans.  ;) Hey who knows, I may poke my head in every now and then to check up on those silly little pirates!

Hey guys! Long time no see, huh? Well I’ve come to the conclusion that school and the encompassing work is becoming too overbearing. I honestly don’t think that I will contribute to the Matarissan history or species for a very long time…if ever. If someone…*cough Operaghost cough* would like to take the species for their own, feel free. I think I’m honestly done…Feel free to look at my work on Deviantart.
I’m sorry to anyone who actually enjoyed the Matarissans, but after I finished work, school started and things started getting hectic. So this is basically my farewell to Gaming Steve and Spore Fiction. Thanks guys and gals. I appreciate all of the support for the small time the Matarissans were around. Some of you I’ll see in school, but to the rest, goodbye. Viddy Well, Droogs!  ;)

The Matarissans aren't genocidal...They just hate things.  :)

Two Things...

1. The Number system seems really wrong, in that you can't make a system of how "good" a creature is...

2. What category does the Gaming Steve forum as a whole think the Matarissans would fall under? I know they have not been in many RP's, but look through the thread...There are a lot of pictures, history, time & effort in those pages...What do you think?

If there was a "middle-power", between major and lesser, than the Matarissans would be there, in relation to the time and effort put into them...thoughts?

On the appearence of the Scion Complex: I see the Scion Complex as layers and layers of metal docks and shops. Sort of like Nar Shadda from SW...
Matarissans involvement in the Scion Complex: Matarissans lead the Nodyl business in the Complex, and what is left of the companies work in the lower levels of the complex. Matarissans are also involved in smuggling under the control of the Black Diamond Gang...

:o Those ships are amazing! I could see the Juggernauts flying in front of a Battle-Hulk in order to smash through incoming fleets. The Juggernauts also remind me of the ships from the Matrix, with the electricity coming off it...

if only more people watched arrested development, things like this wouldn't happen  :-\

Thank you for being the only one to actually get that.  :D I know its been a while, but as soon as I have a good week to get my thoughts and drawings together I'll try to reamerge. Either that, or the Matarissans will lose all of their former glory and become a thread bottom feeder... :'(
