Everything I've done with Vista I was able to do in XP, except for the Media Center I use with my XBox, which is pretty cool. Although I play more games than media. I'm just one of those people that 'need' the latest software/hardware/console as soon as it comes out. Which is why I drive a 1968 Gremlin.

Podcasts / Re: How did you discover "Gaming Steve"?
« on: February 03, 2007, 08:14:02 am »
Thats amazing because 5 years ago I was in Nazi-occupied Egypt. I had been employed by them to help on a huge archaeological dig. While digging the ground suddenly caved in beneath me and i found myself falling into a huge cavern. Around the walls were gigantic stone statues of famous video game characters, and lots and lots of pixely badgraphics snakes. Just when i thought the snakes would over run me, a man weilding a SNES controller like a whip swung in and faught off the snakes, he toppled a gigantic statue of Lara Croft and I was able to climb onto one of her collosal marble bosoms to get out of the cave. I later learned that man was Gaming Steve in search of a copy of the last good tomb raider game, thought lost many centuries ago.

reading that just made my day. superb.

Vista is running oK for me. I've ran into a few problems with Daemon-Tools and my Hauppauge Win-TV GO tuner. Everything else is running flawlessly. Although my machine chuggs a lot more than it used to with XP. Especially at boot-up and shut-down. I also noticed a few frame rate degregations in Oblivion and Sim City 4.

I had one going on for a while. Work kicked my a$$ though and had to stop doing it for a while.

All it took was a few hours of planning a week. It's pretty rewarding once people start listening. Make sure you use all the podcasting resources you can find to promote yourself. Mine was on the front page for a few weeks. Good luck :)

I'm downloading the demo right now, I never tried Saints Row, the reviews I read about it never really persuaded me to pick it up. Maybe I should rent it, so that way I have have something to gauge Crackdown off of.

Insperation, sminsperation.

OoT other than the 3d graphics really didn't provide much more innovation than LttP. I would love to see some core changes to gameplay, although CDi tried that years ago. You'll get uromisotices if you play it though.

I know steve's been busy. I'm more concerened about a new Podcast than a new Gaming Steve Jingle. I kind of like the simplistic stupidity of the current one. "Oh yeah, he's got game"

Yeah, it's New Gen or something. Nintendo has a much broader appeal that Microsoft or Sony.

Now lets never speak of it again.

I shouldn't have brought it up in the first place, now the thread is tainted with cheap plastic, and a terrible speaker the size of a quater.

But, Aname ... what would you do without Riiiiidge Racer!?

Oh there are plenty of ways to play "Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Racer! (waits for applause during awkward silence)" on a pc ;)

I see, I wonder if I'll be able to burn DVD's, while mounting an Image, work on my website, and play Sim City 4 at the same time...

I won't?

yeah...what a joke.

How dare you not mention the singing fish. Billy the Bass or whatever, that thing is three times more god awful than the Racoon, and it sold more.
