Today's episode just confirmed how downhill it has gone, Russell T Davies seems to just be throwing all of his past storylines (and spinoffs) together without much thought or even the resemblance of a well thoughout story arc. It looks like he wants to wall off the past 4 series so no one can touch the storylines after he's left and it wouldn't surprise me if they killed off everyone to do a relaunch

I wish they had done something as simple as show the incidents the Doctor wasn't around to stop didn't happen in the same order as they were shown in the series, time travel doesn't seem to exist when they do a modern episode

Probotector II (Super C) Co-op has kicked Mario Kart into the gutter at the moment, I'm considering Contra III when Nintendo Europe finally put some more Wii Points Cards up on the Stars Catalogue

Blimey training takes far longer than I remember.

I may have just made this up in my head but I'm sure I recall hearing that at Battle tower your pokemon can be upscale/downscaled to Lv 50/100 for battles, anyone have experience with this?

Finally picked this up ready to build a team. Milotic and Heracross from R/S, but I'm going old skool with Charizard, Gengar and Umbreon, the final slot is undecided but I might just go with Lanturn as I already have 2 at Lv 100.

Is it just me or did anyone else not know you can clean the gym badges?

Never, in the history of me playing pokemon, have I ever encountered a shiny myself.
Me neither, ad that's with at least 300 hours across Gold, Ruby and Diamond. I have seen the Pokerus twice though and that's supposedly much rarer (although on the second time I was told I had it at the pokecenter but it didn't show up on my pokemon

I'm ashamed at myself for how little time I've put into this. Having put atleast 100 hours into the other ones I haven't touched it since beating the Elite 4. Part of the problem is deciding what Fire pokemon to level up to 100, I really want a fast sweeper but I can't choose between Charizard and Arcanine, the former would be immune to earthquake with is a big concern with the rest of my team, but I have never used an Arcanine before and he's certainly not as common. Charizard would probably be the best bet, Arcanine has better attack stats than sp attack and it would be stupid to waste them

I completely burnt myself out on the game in just over a week, being on holiday I must have spent 3-4 hours a day solid on it and although it was really enjoyable I haven't felt like going back to it since. My main problem with the game is visitors getting stuck, I'm sure it's just a glitch the developers couldn't be bothered to fix and I hate having to delete a part of my water flume or race track just to free them.

I still remember Sim Brick, being 8 at the time I didn't get that it was a parody. Those were the days, Sensible Software in particular were always putting out mini games and mods poking fun at their own and others games in Amiga Power cover disks

Rome, although that's probably because it was my first and it felt like a revolution (after AoE II)

I remember being really excited about it when the BBC made Time Commanders with the engine. Looking back on the program although it was hidden behind historical facts, it was essentially televised Korean Starcraft competitions as the BBC are likely to get

Oh god, at least with the normal game I can tear myself away, with this I just know I'll be encouraged to play on

Western release confirmed. Slightly worried at the new assistant in the screen shot

Well, we're getting closer to the US release now, dispite a lot of the problems it seems to have, I'm pretty excited.  There's been a lot of new info lately too, mostly the US names for the new Pokemon.  I won't bother posting them all, but needless to say they're all pretty awful, especially the starters.  Piplup, Turtwig and Chimchar.  Other notable terrible names include "Bidoof", "Driftblim" and "Starly".

Seems like they hand a random brainstorming session and used whatever was thrown out first.  Thank god for nicknames.
...and that's why I started naming them after Gold

I was intending to get Sim City 4 for the PC sometime as I haven't played one before but the portability of this is attractive, it's not like I have anything to compare it to even if it isn't the latest version

I'm not sure why, but I prefer it to the original. I'll probably keep the original in the GBA slot for the occasional play but the double screen aspect works well, even if it doesn't add a massive part to the gameplay. The mini-games are a good addition aswell, my brother managed to get the top score on the flutter jump, so I better go and beat the 150 score
