Title: Your Videogame Collection
Post by: Piloteer on June 14, 2007, 04:45:37 pm
Many videogame forums have a place where members can post pictures of their videogame collection, either for fun or for bragging rights. Here is the place to post pictures of all your videogames, systems, etc., that you have amassed over your gaming lifetime!

I'll start:

GameCube:

Nintendo DS:

Other handheld games:

Nintendo 64:

Ungodly amount of PlayStation 2 games:

Wii:

Some PC Stuff:

And a cool Nintendogs keychain from the Nintendo booth at E3 2005 given to me by Steve:

Whew! That's it for me! Now feel free to post pictures and comment on each others collections! :)

Showoff.... ;)
How can you afford all that?!
I'll see if I can get in the pics of my collection. As of now, I have a PS2, GC, and Gameboy Advance.

The likely answer is : Over time.

The likely answer is : Over time.

You'd be surprised what great deals you can find at sales/clearances. Most of my PS2 games and all my GameCube games were bought for under $10

Yeah but the Wii and 2 DS?  ::) And still be able to keep your old consoles?

I would post a picture of my collection (the ones I know where are anyway) but I don't have a digital camera so I have to borrow my dads. I may do that a little later.

Hrohrohro.

GBA and DS
Not much, I know.
My hands are too big for the DS I think. After a short time, they stiffen and hurt.
Can't play Mario Kart worth a damn.

XBOX and Gamecube
Also pretty pathetic.
I don't care for the Gamecube, and the XBOX never really had anything I wanted.

PS2
The PS2 on the other hand...

PC
I tend to avoid getting PC games.
Don't know why.

SNES
Still need to get a few to round out my collection.
Secret of Mana, Robotrek, 7th Saga, Shadowrun, and more.

NES
Meh.

NOT PICTURED
360 - Dead Rising, Crackdown
PS2 - GTA Vice City (lent out, never returned), Suikoden III (lent out)
SNES - Super Metroid (I hid it)
PC - SimCity 3000 (lent out, never returned)

Your collection pales in comparison to mine. Would pale even further had I not sold my n64 and snes...

I have a recept that's about a meter long from when I sold my n64 (not even exagerating) up in a safe place in the loft. I also have the complete collection of original mario kart 64 plushies, however they've been played with D=

(also, anyone else got a game gear and the attachment that lets you play sega megadrive games?)

I had them but I sold them along with 5 GG games and about 8 SMS games. Oh what a fool was I. I still regret selling my N64 too. It's stupid being poor in college :'( I'll probally keep my Xbox even if it's a little redundant. :P

The last bits of the puzzle are coming together Pilot, in a week's time I'll have replaced my lost Nintendo and be ready to post pictures of my collection. ;)

You better not dissapoint! I'll be expecting good things with the hype you've been giving it! :P

Anyway, I am missing a few games, notably all my PS 1 games and some others. If you want a more complete list, check out my Gamespot collection (http://www.gamespot.com/users/Cool-AN/games_table?mode=own).

The sad part is that nowadays, most Games stores sell less PC games than in your collection.

Yeah it is sad.

I haven't bought any PC games for a while since my PC isn't exactly up to date.

Pilot4life, is that avitar from seconds from disaster or air crash investigation?

No, it was taken (not by me) on a real commercial flight. Steep turn! :)

And Pat, I want a picture of you playing your Virtual Boy!
Title: Re: Your Videogame Collection
Post by: Piloteer on June 17, 2007, 03:50:09 pm
If you have time to post all of them, then that'd be cool, but if you'd rather not bother than don't worry about it. It'd be fun to compare our entire collections though.

My boxed collection mainly consists of The Sims games and Flight Simulator games and add-ons. I have more PC games than that, but those are the only ones I buy. :D

You don't like Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts, Pat? Or Dragon Quest VIII, the prequel to the Dragon Quest IX you are so looking forward to?

I'm not attacking your opinion, I just thought you liked those kinds of games.

How can people these days not own a PS2? Crazy.

I've had mine for almost five years, and there are still a ton of games I want to pick up (Shadow of the Colossus, Final Fantasy XII, Rachet & Clanks, and many many more). The great part is that all the games are now only $15-$20.

ilikesanta, what's the name of your TV? It's hot.

It's a 2002 Sony 52 inch CTR something something.... I don't really know the exact model because, and you're all going to hate me for this, I got it for free. ;D Long story short my sister's ex-boyfriend who worked at Microsoft, just bought a new HD-projector and wanted to get red of it so he just gave it to me. It's not perfect, there are these faint blue lines that run across the screen. You can only see them if there's a dark image on the screen, but it's free so I can't complain to much.  ;)

I thought this thread was interesting enough to revive, since there are some new members, and game collections should be changing constantly :P

Here's my collection of PC and DS games:
The unmarked CD case is 'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego Deluxe'.
Rather small collection, I know, but it's steadily growing :)

I'll get a picture of my PS2 games as soon as possible.

I'm curious to see your collections!

I own -

DS
The Sims 2
Pokemon Diamond
Yoshi's Island 2
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Nintendogs

PS2
Ratchet and Clank 1 through 3
Jak and Daxter 1
Note - There are a lot more games here, but these are the only ones that are officially "mine." 2 bros and a sister!

PC
The Sims 2
University, Nightlife, Seasons (At Christmas) Glamour Life
The Orange Box (After Christmas) :P

And that's it. I own some crappy old PS1 games (I was about 9 when the PS2 came out... What year was that again)
I used to have a PSP and some games.
My little brother and sister are getting a Wii for Christmas.
Me and my older brother own a PS2 together.
I play my PC games on this crappy PC, but I'm looking forward to my laptop at Christmas. ;)

Most of these pictures are about 2 years old. I've moved since. None of the games or systems have been removed (except for a DS and 2 games that were stolen), and many more games have since been added, but the TV has changed, and the 5.1 system was obliterated by lightning. Most of this stuff is currently in storage:

Almost all of those magazines were thrown away unfortunately. Too heavy and I couldn't seem to give them away to anybody within a reasonable distance. Only the oldest of the old (1986 Video Games & Computer Entertainment, 1987 Nintendo Powers, etc) were kept.

A chinese NES ripoff that works fantastically well....except one of the 2 controllers has a problem with the B button.

That's what was (and is now in storage)....this is my current setup, which is a bit more modest ;) (the photos are about 6 months old now) :

There we go, that's all of it! One hundred forty two games not counting the duplicates and my PC games. You can see all of the systems lined up here (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i177/PatMan33/Video%20Game%20Collection/Consoles1.jpg), check it out because it's cool and something you don't see every day.

For those of you that noticed and were wondering, Super Mario Bros. 2 and Brain Age are missing because I'm a nice guy and lent them to my sister. Also I figured you guys didn't want to see the GameSharks or the Action Replay. Oh, and before I get someone nagging me, I did own Mario 64 but it got stolen.

Here (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i177/PatMan33/Video%20Game%20Collection/HanafudaCards.jpg) is one last cool thing though, it's a deck of Club Nintendo Hanafuda Cards that were manufactured by (You guessed it!) Nintendo! Some of you may not know this, but when Nintendo was created in 1889 they made Hanafuda cards and are still one of the world's largest Hanafuda card manufacturers! There you go, you learned something new today; and if you already knew that well hats off to you! :)

I hope you enjoyed looking at my collection as much as I enjoyed taking it all down and snapping some photos (I spent four or five hours doing it and loved it!). Thanks for your time!

**EDIT**
I guess I should also add that everything I own works and it works perfectly. Hell, I took apart the NES and reset the pin connector so I wouldn't have to blow into my games any more. :P

**EDIT EDIT**
Fixed up the hyper links... I got more games but I'm not going to post them for a while.

well i knew they made playing cards and board games and stuff like that, but i didn't know that still do. they do?

my collection is abysmal compared to the rest of yours, so i don't really want to post it.

I need to go to my local flea market and find some more games. Only my 64 collection is as nearly impressive as yours Pat.

EDIT:
Banjo-Kazooie
Banjo-Tooie
Donkey Kong 64 (I think all of them were yellow)
Goldeneye 007
Jet Force Gemini
Kirby 64
Mario Kart 64
Mario Party
Mario Party2
Mario Tennis
Star Wars Rouge Squadron
Super Mario 64
Super Smash Bros.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Yoshi's Story

Well, I actually have 2 more than you. And if I kept my Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium and Bug's Life it would be more. I'm targeting for a copy of Majora's Mask and StarFox 64 and I'll be happy with my collection.

I swapped my system's motherboard so now it perfectly works. And I have 5 controllers in the colors of red, yellow, green, grey (newer condition), and an atomic purple. :)

Some of you may not know this, but when Nintendo was created in 1889...

 :o

Anyhow, great collection. If I knew where everything anything is, I'd list them.

You have me beat in everything.... except NES games. We had about 80 NES games. I'm not joking or exaggerating.

I have only owned the NES, GameBoy, GameBoy Color, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, GameBoy Advance SP, Nintendo DS (original... broken... and the LITE!... broken). Oh and a playstation 1 and xbox... but I didn't care for them so much. I only got a couple games for each.

Currently, NES is sitting in a box in my closet. ALL the games except for Legend of Zelda and Tetris are missing. I presume they are in a box in a garage, not having seen the light of day since I packed them when we moved almost 7 years ago. The GameBoy is sitting right here in front of me on the top shelf of my desk. It's games (3 of them. Super Mario Land, Tetris, and Hyper Load Runner) are stored with the NES games I believe. Nintendo 64 is in the same box as the NES, while the games I haven't a clue about their final resting place. Perhaps in my closet. I believe I had 9 N64 games. My GameCube and my games for it are over at  my GF's house. She's not allowed to buy consoles of her own. She loves the Zelda Collectors Edition game. GameBoy Advance SP I gave to my friend before he quit school. I have my games in a box in my closet as well. My Nintendo DS, obtained the first day it came out... was split in two the following summer by my sister. I think got a black DS LITE the following November when final fantasy III came out. The following summer my cousin broke one of the hinges, though it still plays games. Just the top screen is very weak and can't hold itself up anymore. Currently, the first DS is under my bed. DS lite I gave to my GF because she loves final fantasy.

I can't believe somebody else owns Sim Isle. I remember never being able to figure that darned thing out. I didn't even know the point of the game. Did you ever figure it out, Martyk? And did you ever beat the last level of Sim Copter?? Im-freaking-possible!

Ah, the good ol' days...

The last level of Sim Copter isn't impossible, though, I do play every city I can, meaning repeating difficulty levels as many times as possible, just so I have enough money to get up to the better copters. Also, I own a copy of Sim Isle too, I remember figuring out how to make a working factory and tourist center on the same island once.

As for on topic; I should really round up and photograph my collection this summer...

I don't have photo's as most of my consoles are in storage due to my current house job/situation but here are the consoles I own, not sure of games for each one except my 360 but here is a list for now

Sega Master System
Sega Mega Drive 2
Sega 32x
Sega Saturn
Sega Dreamcast (My niece's have this atm)
Nintendo Gameboy Color
Nintendo DS Lite (My girlfriends sister has this atm)
Nintendo Gamecube
Nintendo Wii
Microsoft Xbox (My nephew has this atm)
Microsoft Xbox 360 (26 Retail Games and 32 Arcade Games) + HD-DVD Addon, Microsoft Steering Wheel, Live Camera
Sony Playstation
Sony Playstation 2
Commodore Amiga CD32

plus an old Pong Machine

One thing I do know (and my girlfriend does not) is that once I start my new job I am going to try and build up my collection of old systems, I might even buy myself a 3D0, sick as it may seem ;)

Commodore Amiga CD32

Wow - you're the first person I've heard of with one of those! I want a picture for sure of that :)

-The Adventure of Link (Gold Cart)
-The Legend of Zelda (Gold Cart)
-Win, Lose, or Draw
-Super Mario World (Somehow I have two copies)
I guess I should also add that everything I own works and it works perfectly. Hell, I took apart the NES and reset the pin connector so I wouldn't have to blow into my games any more. :P

I used to have the gold carts, as well as Win, Lose, or Draw...until they were stolen by the somebody with moving company. You must have my Super Mario World, because somehow it disappeared (along with an NES Advantage and an NES Max controller). As for replacing the 72-pin connectors - I'm right there with you :)

The only thing that has failed on me is the original GameBoy - approximately 13 years after I received it. That, and the original XBox had the occasional disc read error within a few months of buying it and sparse use, but it seems to have righted itself.

Hey, does anyone remember the Gameboy Camera? I still have mine and it still works. I tried to fire up the printer too but the quality is faded. Perhaps the paper is damaged or the printer needs repairs. I even have 3 extra rolls left. Sadly, the only thing that can play this game is my trust Gameboy Player. I have to pick up the console to get a decent shot.

I used to have a Game Boy Printer, no camera though, and it, like many other things, has vanished over time.

Just yesterday I noticed that I never entered my copy of Cruisn' USA into my master list on the other page and low and behold it is missing! I'll have to mount a search for it, it probably ended up at my mother's house.

I was poor, so I only had a Game Boy Camera. That thing was really awesome, like a forerunner to digital cameras today. I just used to go up to my friends, take a snap, then go about turning their face into art akin to Picasso. The results were not pleasant. I think mine is hidden away back home somewhere with both my poor GBA and my even poorer Game Boy. Those were much simpler times.

Gameboy Color
Gameboy Advance
Nintendo DS
Sony PSP
Sony PS 1
Sony PSP 2
Sega Nomad (which I still play)(awesome for the bathroom)(sucks with the 6 AA batts)

I enjoy going to game stores and game conventions and hearing how different people pronounce the names of games and things in those games. It is amazing how us gamers can recite the entire script to a game but still pronounce all of the landmarks and character names wrong in the process.

I've got a large shelf where I have a TV and the consoles set up. The games are kept in a small set of drawers that is about three feet high and two and a half feet deep. It's fairly compact... but I'm also a neat freak so that may play a part of it.

This has been in my collection for a long time, I bought all these figures off Ebay the first time Animal Crossing was out. They came from Japan and came with in a little house box. I put them together in a shadow box. I didn't realize until talking to someone today that they might be interesting as a collection.

I hated myself for ever selling my original N64, my past sins have now become undone.

...and yes one of those Majora's Mask has a fancy "hologram sticker" (not sure if it makes all that more special?)

I've seen Bad Fur Day go for more than the cost of all of that.

Seriously? Don't tell my friend who I bought it from that.  :P The multiplayer was great on that game, to bad the xbox version didn't keep any of those mini games.

These toys use near field communication (NFC) to interact with supported video game software, potentially allowing data to be transferred in and out of games and across multiple platforms.
that's actually pretty cool

Yeah man! Amiibo!! :D

It's kinda like this:

<3 Bill Trinen

Also, I am pretty sure they are designed to look just like the Smash trophies! Which is cool. Not all of them are Smash, though. You can tell the different sets by the coloring and texture of the base the figurine stands upon. Some are from the Super Mario set (red base), which don't offer trainable characters like the Smash ones do. But, say... Toad, when I use his, I get to play another mode in Captain Toad which is a really fun hide and seek game. You have to find a tiny 8-bit Toad hidden somewhere in each level and as you progress further the Toad starts to run away from you! It's very cool.

Though I will admit the amiibo functionality does leave a bit to be desired, especially if you're not as into the collecting aspect as I am.

Here are the two newest, along with their buddy Kirby. They're a little sad the last few days though. :(
