Title: A drawing board for any website?
Post by: Samog on March 14, 2007, 04:47:41 pm
IF YOU SEE SOMETHING YOU DON'T LIKE DO NOT PAINT OVER THE WHOLE SCREEN.
Someone going off on a tangent that doesn't mesh with your "artistic vision" is not a reason to panic
please refrain from hitler, penises, et cetera because someone will freak out
it is ok to paint over the screen if nobody's done anything for a while
if you have to write something, write small, if you have to erase something, use the dropper tool to get the background color

Here is one for the forum:

http://six.flash-gear.com/draw/drw.php?id=274919&a=232985462&b=1742436861

You just put the number 1 after "http://six.flash-gear.com/draw/drw.php?id=274919&a=232985462&b=174243686"

Very cool.

(Gabbly: http://gabbly.com/http://six.flash-gear.com/draw/drw.php?id=274919&a=232985462&b=1742436861 but it has problems)

Here are some of the best drawings ever made on the Internet (post yours in this thread and i might put them up here (no jpeg artifacts)):

Im surprised someone knew who Welder Monkey was, and from a frustrated doodle. He was so happy he stopped attaching my empty coke cans to the radiator for long enough to wave his arms. Amazing.

Still, I tried a few times afterwards to draw, but people keep erasing the stuff you're working on before it can even take shape. Or sometimes even when its taken shape people just outright remove it and replace it with some chunky stickman. Remember folks, nobody 'owns' the drawspace, quit throwing tantrums when you cant hog two thirds of the space.

That green-eyed guy at the top was collab with someone else.
Got messed with a bit, which is why he has those green eyes in the first place.

I think the background timed out, or expired or something. And btw, thats my little ship on the right. Shooting teh laserz.

And that planet explosion was really awesome. We need a more robust drawing thing like this!

Actually It was never a penis, that's how I draw cartoon people with big noses, a long bit, 2 eyes, then I flesh the face out and add ears and hair and such, ONLY If I want a long head though!

Also I made that whole thing, I added the hair and the ears...THE LOT!
Title: Re: A drawing board for any website?
Post by: Gauphastus on March 15, 2007, 03:47:04 am
As you load the thing, it redraws all the layers of crap you've painted.

I noticed while loading, someone drew a picture of a guy's face. As it continued loading, the guy's head suddenly had an axe in it.
Can't get the picture, but man, that was funny.

EDIT:
Drew this earlier. Obviously I was alone the whole time.
I suppose it's not quite as impressive with one guy drawing, 'cause then.. it's just a drawing.
But you can have it anyway.

Someone is in there drawing guys being hanged.  :-\

EDIT: Besides that, I can't draw very well 'cause I aggravated my old hand injury at work.
Bastards.
Told 'em not to give me the hardest job possible and they do it anyway.

These things always take one rat to spoil the whole thing. Frankly i'm glad this board isn't LUE because every time something cool is posted on there it gets promptly and purposely mangled.

One step further detached from [website]'s mood and sense of humor means one step closer to [GameFAQs/4chan/YTMND/Gaia/your commonly-hated website of choice].

As shown here, as we approach [aforementioned website], the validity of statements like "INTERNET SERIOUS BUSINESS" and "ugh get a sense of humor can't you tell this is all double-meta-inverse irony what a newbie ::)" increases exponentially. With this new method of solving problems, go back and complete problems 3-39 (every other odd) on page 370. This material will be on the semester test so make sure it's in your notes.

(we have had more than one rat, several of them were funny, most of them probably contributed to other stuff)

I meant ones that'd just come in and scribble all over it or repeatedly keep blanking everything then fill the board with racial slurs and phallic imagery when left to their own devices.

Here's that picture of one of the guys getting hanged.
I added the frightened guy in the corner.

While the other guy drawing (still don't know who) went on to draw this big scene in the background with hills and houses and stuff, that frightened guy in the corner remained.
I found it funny.

And here's another.

My guy on the left, and unlamp's girl on the right.

Hmm, shame there isnt at least a zoom. My damn mouse doesnt like small, fine movements, so filling in small details is tricky (I end up just blocking through it with color, then redoing the outlines). Noogle pic coming up. And what the hell is up with large pieces of pictures seeming to flood white? Pictures keep getting ruined because large chunks just vanish..

You can right click and zoom in.
Title: Re: A drawing board for any website?
Post by: Gauphastus on March 17, 2007, 12:53:29 pm
I don't think anyone got any pics of that.
Oh, I have one, way near the end; still, without the full story (the whole 'animation'), I don't think anyone else can appreciate it as much as we can. It's like everything we do in there becomes an in-joke.  :-\

This is why I think I should just record them... but how many people would even care enough to download a video file of us screwing around and slowly altering an image?

Meh.

In other news, we managed to churn out something good today.
This is coming off a picture I was doing with a shack and jungle in the backround; it all expired, so I erased the out-of-place leftovers and added a lake.
Soon, the above happened.
Good job to those involved.

Really though, we need a different program or a modified version of this one.
We need more strokes.

Still, large chunks of the picture just vanished. I even refreshed to watch the 'history' of the picture reconstruct itself, and it seems parts of it just... de-existed. My noogle vanished a little while after that screen-cap, and large parts of the water and land flooded white. Such a shame. This is what happened :

Like someone said, since this is flash you can just right click to zoom in. And I think it keeps turning white because the background art keeps expiring. I think after like 5-10 minutes stuff just disappears.

Thats just it though, it doesnt appear to be the oldest strokes that are vanishing. My noogle choked along with strips of the land that were there before I joined in.
Title: Re: A drawing board for any website?
Post by: Gauphastus on March 17, 2007, 01:02:01 pm
I figure that when the thing reaches a certain stroke count, like 10000, it deletes about half of the current history.

It doesn't seem like they expire seeing as you can leave a drawing up for hours and come back later.

I'm done drawing, because of porno.

I wish to draw the Kraken without porno.

I don't want to start a flamewar because of this comment.

Seriously, that picture was wrong. Erase please. The drawing board should be clean and fun. If it's a joke, I don't get it.

Someone drew a tentacle monster?

*Snicker*

Ah... what has the Internet done to me...

Anyway who dares defile one of Jim Henson's creations?

I should beat you with a rubber hose for that.
Title: Re: A drawing board for any website?
Post by: Ichthyostega on March 19, 2007, 04:20:15 pm
That was me drawing the kraken stalking a ship to sink (ignoring the porno). To be honest, I was not intending to be pornographic, just recreational. I in no way call porno "art". Also, it did not go with the porno, just a seperate illustration

I made my point across, now that stuff ends here.

Now to positive things.

I drew a beast that wants to eat a four-eyed tentacled creature. I'm just doodling. It's quite fun.

The drawings on that site cannot be monitored so bad drawings are bound to happen. I would suggest if you want to do a drawing for yourself to create your own drawing board, you can do this on the main drawing site. If you choose to draw on the public one then you do so at your own discretion.

I was drawing a naucean, then someone else drew something to kill it. Then I drew more Nauceans, and they got destroyed too. I had no idea what's up with the naucean killfest. Then someone asked about the nauceans. That's the story behind that picture.

It's a cool picture.

PS: I have nothing against the Nauceans. I think they're a cool race! Also, I did not participate in the killings.
PPS: That was a leg extended to a flipper. It's obvious.

There was a serious shoop da whoop war going on for a while.
Hundreds of those things showed up, so many that some of them started to.. change.
Some would vomit, some fired crippled lazors, and some just weren't the right color.
They were destroyed.

Pic unrelated.
But still pretty cool.

EDIT:
You know what's awesome?
Getting a couple of guys together and basically animating a story.
We just had this one which started with some crappy stick figures.
Turned into this big story with a witch and some cool guy who killed a giant pacman beast with an eyeball for a mouth.
And some guy at a computer chair farted and got 22 exp for killing a pirate.

Man, this thing can be fun sometimes.

EDIT2:
There was a bit of animated storytelling that went on before this, but I thought some of you folks out there would like to see it.
Man, me and Gec did some funny stuff.
