If you think Salad Fingers is creepy and wrong, you really don't want to watch this (http://www.fat-pie.com/milkman.htm) one... :-\

Basterman, you and I, we are on the same wavelength.
Yes sir we are.

The last one is really good!
-
I've allowed people to change votes and opinions.
The question is What is the best WebComic you know?
-
Pbf, Cyanide, and VGcats.
The later two are only in my top 3 because of the genius that they sometimes strike in their comic.
-
pbf vgcats and the order of the stick
-
I don't even try to like the other ones anymore...but Cyanide and Happiness still makes me chuckle.

xkcd

CAD, C&N, and xkcd.

Everyone seems to have missed: http://www.smbc-comics.com/ (http://www.smbc-comics.com/)
-
Schlock Mercenary (http://www.schlockmercenary.com/index.html) for consistency! It has updated every day for the past 8 years. :D I find it consistently funny too, though your mileage may vary.
EDIT: Don't you just hate it when you only see the grammatical error AFTER you press the post button. :-\
-
I've been reading Commisioned Comic (http://www.commisionedcomic.com) and Extralife (http://www.myextralife.com) for a while now.
I tried reading PvP for a while, but there were too many injokes for my liking.
-
XKCD
Irregular Webcomic
Questionable Content
-
Cat and Girl (http://www.catandgirl.com)
As you might have guessed, I like it.
-
GU Comics (http://www.gucomics.com/) and Sheldon (http://www.sheldoncomics.com/) are pretty funny too, usually.
And of course XKCD, but that one's been mentioned more than enough :P
-
Meh, XKCD has really deteriorated recently by my reckoning. Its relying more and more frequently at totally soulless references to obscure computer stuff in a lame attempt to make its readers feel clever and to raise even a half-smile from people who actually fully get the joke.
-
It may be going a bit downhill, but the latest one is pretty funny, in my opinion.
-
Cyanide and Happiness: Consistently funny and random with a high update rate. Great recipe
-
Some of the "out of the main stream" ones I've gotten into are
Minus (Remember that "It's a Good Life" episode of the twilight zone?): http://www.kiwisbybeat.com/minus.html
Pictures for Sad Children (Especially notable for the alt text and offbeat tone): http://www.picturesforsadchildren.com/index.php?comicID=1
Octopus Pie (Well done NYC Indie comic with somewhat of a continuing storyline): http://www.octopuspie.com/index.php?date=2007-05-14
Dresden Codak (I've actually already made a post about this. It's one of the few amazingly smart webcomics that still updates. Although usually only twice a month.): http://www.dresdencodak.com/
Copper (about a boy and his dog. Amazing illustration and quite thoughtful writing. Sadly hasn't updated in a while): http://www.boltcity.com/copper/
A lesson is learned but the damage is irreversible (Read this. Read this right now. You mind will go places that are...different. Sadly, also on hiatius, for conciderably longer than copper however): http://www.alessonislearned.com/index.php?comic=5 (<-- Start with that one to get an idea of what the rest are generally like.
Also I've only read a little of go girly, but it's been making rounds recently and it seems pretty funny: http://girlyyy.com/go/504
-
Cyanide and Happiness: Consistently funny and random with a high update rate. Great recipe
Ugh... don't get me started on cyanide and happiness.
It's just so crass, and most of its jokes strike me as being very much in the 'pirates are teh awesomer than ninjas' mold of internet idiocy.
-
I found another one recently, it's by the guy who made VGCats and is about Pokémon.
http://www.vgcats.com/super/
It's new so there's only two comics so far, but it's really good!
-
Gone With The Blastwave: awesome webcomic in a post-apocalyptic setting. good humor, and great artwork.
www.blastwavecomic.com (http://www.blastwavecomic.com/index.php?p=comic&nro=1)
too bad the guy who made it never updates.... :-\
-
Yeah, no idea where to put this...
Um, you see, I'm looking for comics with a decent plot, and no random gag thrown in...
like this one: http://nodwick.humor.gamespy.com/ps238/index.htm
I think this is for TvTropes I guess...
-
You want good web-comics? I'll show YOU good web-comics!

And let's nevar forget:

-
http://www.missmab.com/index.php - Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures. Bad art at the beginning. PG to PG-13.
http://www.lackadaisycats.com/comic.php?comicid=82 - Lackadaisy. A furry (only cats) comic, set in the time of the inhibition. All art is beautiful from the beginning. PG-13, guns.
http://sluggy.com/ - Sluggy Freelance. My favorite comic, and the one that really got me into webcomics. Bad art at the beginning. No, it's not a furry comic. PG-13
http://www.thebookofbiff.com/2010/01/22/944-flat/ - The Book of Biff. A good comic, in gag-a-day style. From what I remember it's kid friendly.
-
This is one of my favorite comics.

-
Yeah, that format is the best. (http://www.mspaintadventures.com/sweetbroandhellajeff/)
-
My fav is http://thenoobcomic.com/index.php
I love it haha
-
Of course, now that this has been revived I do need to add a few other great non-mainstream comics:
Kate Beaton's "Hark! A Vagrant" (Yay for historical humor! Over recent times it does seem to have increased in popularity, so I'm sure at least some of you have heard of it.): http://www.harkavagrant.com/
Ryan Armand's "Great" (By the same guy that did Minus. One of the few comics I've been reading since the start, and now that it's been linked to by Ryan North of Dinosaur comics, I imagine it'll get a bit more notice): http://www.kiwisbybeat.com/great1.html (http://www.kiwisbybeat.com/great1.html)
Justin Pierce's "Wonderella" (Like Wonder Woman but clearly not. Great parody. Hilarious comic): http://nonadventures.com/2006/09/09/the-torment-of-a-thousand-yesterdays/
Peter and Erin Donahue's "Pear-Pear": (Personally, I never thought I could find a wordless Pear and Mug such compelling characters. It's strange, but a huge amount of fun if you can get into it. Surprised this isn't more widely read): http://www.pear-pear.com/archive1.htm
Seriously, read all of those. They are fantastic.
-
http://www.viruscomix.com/page493.html
Loads of text, hit and miss, but there's very little like it. One of few webcomics I like(of the non-random kind).
-
XKCD's my favorite, of course, but its already been mentioned.
theWAREHOUSE (http://www.warehousecomic.com/) and Virtual Shackles (http://www.virtualshackles.com/) are good, although thewarehouse can be a bit heavy on puns.

Axe Cop (http://eefblogger.blogspot.com/2010/01/axe-cops-temporary-home.html)
It's home site got hit so hard it died, so it there for now.
The comic is written by a five year old and drawn by his twenty nine year old brother and it is constantly hilarious.
-
"Let's put these heads on thicks and put bombs in them!"
-
Best Webcomic in universe bar none.
-
http://mokepon.smackjeeves.com/
Pretty funny, it's a spoof of the original pokemon storyline from start to finish.
-
I've recently rediscovered Crimson Dark (http://www.davidcsimon.com/crimsondark/). A very good comic.
-
Nerf Now (http://nerfnow.com/comic/4)! For all your weeaboo-styled needs.
What? Some of you voted for Ctrl+Alt+Del, like you can judge! B^U
-
The poll is woefully outdated anyway
-
Speaking of great webcomics, Kukuburi just took a totally awesome and unexpected turn! They are already up to about 160 comics and new ones are added every week.
Yo absolutely MUST start at the beginning (http://www.kukuburi.com/v2/2007/08/09/one/) though!
-
Penny Arcade and Order of the Stick are the only two I can stand the sight of anymore.
-
what about mspaint adventures?
-
Dr McNinja?
-
what about mspaint adventures?
WHAT ABOUT IT!? :D
-
When I open my webcomics bookmark folder in Firefox, it gives a warning that opening that many tabs at once will slow down my computer >_>
-
I guess my new favorite webcomic is Gunnerkrigg Court (http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=1), by Tom Siddell.
-
Super Effective.

I am reviving this thread because I'm looking for new webcomic recommendations! The field has most definitely changed in the last four years, and I'm curious what else is out there worth checking out.
(And also to make recommendations. Has anyone else been reading Paranatural? (http://paranatural.net) It's rather great.)
-
The problem I find with webcomics with actual stories is I keep bingeing on them and then when I catch up, I forget their names and can never find them again. There was one I was reading that involved people at some kind of con being abducted by psychic aliens who resemble crows and come from a highly hierarchical society. Sound familiar?
Anyway, I recommend Tune for now. (http://www.tunecomic.com/)

That's why browsers have bookmarks, Tesla.
Also, I came across Learnt (http://cheappaperart.com/learnt.html) a while ago. It's an interesting and fun way to learn random stuff.

Webcomics and learning!?
WHAT IS THIS??

I have so many. So many.

To be honest, the only webcomic I've read lately is Penny Arcade
Edit:It's interesting to look through this thread and see that most of them are still going.

Last year I saw Ramon Perez in a booth at Comic Con.
It took me a minute before I remembered where I knew that name from. I circled back and approached.
"Are you the Ramon Perez that did Kukuburi?"
"Oh, wow, yeah, it's be awhi-"
"Finish Kukburi!"
...
He's too busy drawing the Spidermans to make internet pictures.
-
Psh, if Hastings can draw and write McNinja and make amusing aprons while writing the Deathpond then this guy can do both too.
-
It's never a good sign when an author is surprised that someone still remembers a project.

Doing god's work. Or... your own work... :\
Just don't stop doing your job, Neo.

Wait, Doc McNinja still exists?
Edit: By god, and in color? What is this world coming to?

Man where have you been, it's been in colour longer than it was ever in black and white at this point.
