Anything exciting on the horizon people are looking forward to?

All the positive switch talk has gotten me excited for a bright future, I must say. The switch is basically perfect for my current situation: all of a sudden I have way more disposable income than I've ever had before, and now comes a system that's basically a handheld with the support of a main line console? I'm looking forward to being more of an active participant this generation. It's cool.

Now I just need games that aren't arms or mario (maybe I'll try splatoon 2)

You have income, but do you have time? How're you managing that?

I would be interested in both those. I am not sure I am looking forward to something specific right now. I have been slowly playing though my backlog however. But there many games in there... But quite a few of them are new to me :)

So, Star Wars Battlefront. It's been nice seeing everyone yell at EA for being EA and trying to squeeze every cent they can out of customers. But it sounds like some people are actually accepting their changes to the microtranslation system and buying the game anyway. It's depressing that people still buy or believe anything from EA, period.

Yeah, more confirmation we're a bunch of rubes, but I mean it is like the only star wars game so how else do you get to go into that universe if you're a fan.

Eh, I mean Cod has been doing it sneakily for years, ea was too brazen but they'll slink back into it

Play the old games. Anyway, if you serious about a noycot then freaking do it! Also people should read up what a real boycot is. Today people are such losers when it comes to protesting...

I think the last EA game I bought was Spore.  We've known EA was a garbage company for a long time.

Online only Sim City was a great move, what are you talking about?
Remember how they said that actually the people making the game wanted it to be online only?
That it was the plan from the start with no influence from EA whatsoever?

That they totally thought people would be happy to have to be constantly connected to the internet in order to access Sim City on a server that may very well go down a few years after the game's popularity declines?
Rendering it unplayable?

A friend bought a ps4 just to play star wars battlefront. I tried to warn him that it was going to suck, but he was dead set on it. Turns out I was right, he got tired of it quickly for the exact things I warned him about. The same thing happened with the TMNT movie, too, but that's another story.

My last ea game was mass effect 3. Sigh.

I'd seen a few things said from the perspective of a regular player, someone who didn't do any cash shop crap.
He said that the progression took quite awhile and that even when he did earn enough credits for a crate it was just a bunch of garbo that gave him zero benefit. And then the cycle started again.

This all sounds like some real awful dystopian mad science-tier shit. I hate it.
