Title: GBJAM
Post by: sgore on October 16, 2016, 10:55:51 am
I'm spinning this off into its own thread because it seems appropriate.
There's apparently been a gameboy-style game making competition recently and like 400 games came out of it, and many are free.

Article here. (http://motherboard.vice.com/read/game-boy-game-jam-2016)

Competition website here. (https://itch.io/jam/gbjam-5)
This is one of them:

This is another one of them:

Here is another, but the let's play is in German, but that's okay:

There are many of them and I don't have time to play all of them. Someone please find the good ones and tell me what they are. This whole thing amazes me.

EDIT: There's no YouTube videos for them, but Slugcaster: https://supernaught.itch.io/slugcaster and EXIT: https://nukespoon.itch.io/exit look amazing. You can apparently play EXIT in browser.

This is really neat. Using old systems as a way to get people into game development is a winner.
