If it is Sim Tower without the glitch, that'd be great.

Wow. That's a retro animation style and... a retro-looking mass of agents with goofy pathfinding. :U

I'm watching quill18 on YouTube play it.

I kind of want it right now. What was the glitch?

I have put the game on my wishlist. So I guess I will pick it up one day. Or... maybe I will make my version of Sim Tower! But that version was very close to what The Sims ended up being....

I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens. If I hate it in under two hours, I'll just return it. I loved SimTower. Watching the review Pat linked has me a little concerned it'll be too much noise though without knowledge.

Honestly I'm curious but I was always goddamn awful at SimTower.

So far so good. Elevators are instant it appears, distance to walk and reliability being their downfall. I semi-miss that from SimTower.
Restarted a half dozen times because of careless (unknown) errors. I'll be putting some time in to this one.

Bedtime Edit: With the loss of the elevator model from SimTower, a big chunk of the challenge is lost. Right now I am working on what will end up being an 80 story high low-rent slum tower and having no issues.

The focus is definitely on planning out your building rather than keeping all the customers happy.
The game felt a bit mindless at first, just building more officer or bedrooms and then keeping up with their demands is pretty simple at first.

But as I got further into the game and tried to really get the better types of stuff out, all the increasing demands made things a lot more interesting.
Demands get really silly, like law offices wanting enough diverse cafe's for example, or all kinds of printer services and janitor whatever security bull****.
And the interesting thing there is you have to justify it all, most of these things cost you x amount per month and can only handle so many clients, so when you make something to supply some demand, you have to supply it enough so that it doesn't actually lose you money.

The simplest example of that is electricity, if you get enough for 50 people, you'd better be close to that number or you're going to be losing more money on power than you're getting from the people who need it.
But the more interesting stuff is for example having those diverse types of cafe's but not having enough people come by to justify more than 1 cafe, so then you have to increase visitors or make them make a profit some other way and the game just keeps going on like that.

It's interesting, but I'm not sure how replayable it is. I'm sure that once I get the hang of it I'll probably end up doing stuff the same way each time.
For now I'm gonna try beating the scenarios because they kinda put you in different mindsets I hope.
Other than that, I think the game is probably better if you restrict your build space, rather than picking the max size lot.
Because it seems like the game is all about optimization, and I think that'll be a lot better if you only have so much space to keep everyone happy, rather than supplying demands by just building new rooms forever.

Yeah, I would agree. I am using the standard sized lot for now. The whiny higher paying people are the challenge. I will say I am happy that I found the automated maintenance perk and bought it though, that was getting tedious quickly.

One cool feature I do like is having multiple buildings on the same lot.

Right now I would say this is a solid $10 game to play. The $20 isn't bad, but if you are just a casual person on these types of games, wait until it goes to $10, probably in a couple months.

I enjoy replaying it and the game so far is fun. I agree with both of you though, everything you said.

Yeah I've been playing it again with the Vegas expansion pack. Get it, it's an improvement.

But it's a super fun game if you like Sim Tower/Yoot Tower whatever. Or just building stuff.
