I expect people running from and occasionally getting eaten by dinosaurs.  I'm sure the movie will deliver that.

I just saw it today! I thought it was really good. It definitely didn't tread any new territory or anything but it was a fun action movie and scary in some parts. My only complaints are that he characters all pretty much conformed to pre-existing archetypes and didn't break any new ground (sexy man who knows what he's doing, emotionally repressed woman who needs to live a little and is swept up into the man's exciting adventures and can't do much for herself, edgy apathetic teenager, innocent child, evil man who likes war and hates animal rights), and that the fight at the end was kind of stupid and made the Indomitus Rex seem less scary and the T-Rex from the original seem like a joke.

But it was pretty good, I had fun watching it, it made me feel emotions and kept my attention.

I saw it tonight, too.  It was a fun ride!  I had a couple thoughts.

Apparently putting a scope on a shotgun is a thing?  He was firing slugs so I guess that makes sense.

The best character was the nerdy guy in the control room.

The bad guy was an absolute idiot and horribly written.  Everything that came out of his mouth was stupid.

There was a nice throwaway line from one of the scientists to placate people who would complain about the dinosaurs not having feathers or matching other developments in the field since the first movie came out.

Most realistic part of the movie?  The panicked evacuation of the main area of the park, where for a second you see a drunk tourist stumbling a way trying to save both his margaritas.

How in the world was that containment procedure supposed to work? Sure, let's just walk unprotected through undergrowth thick enough to hide what we're after.

It felt like they spent 8 minutes killing the poor assistant.  And then no one cared.  For that ridiculous of a death they should've given her some kind of character development.

And then freakin' Blackwater shows up to take over the island.  And it turns out they're just as dumb as the containment team.  Leave the vehicles and air support, let's just march though the tall grass like we haven't had 20 years to learn about how dinosaurs hunt.  I was having Starship Troopers flashbacks.

Aunt Claire (or whatever her names was) casts Bigger Fish!

So I guess the story for the next movie will be turncoat chief scientist and Blackwater growing all of their mutant dinosaurs and causing general mayhem.  The series abandoning any pretense of the dinosaurs being realistic would be an interesting turn.

This movie was incredibly stupid and stupendously fun.

I look forward to T-Rex and Raptor forming a deep and abiding bond over their shared experience fighting I-Rex. (http://www.qwantz.com/index.php)

Or the Raptor, left with nothing but a very large weapons stockpile and a functional laboratory, can educate itself.

And then try to overthrow human society.

The point is, the only direction this franchise can go is crazier, and I wholeheartedly approve.
