Stardew Valley is a PC game similar to Harvest Moon developed by one dude over the last couple of years.
He figures the project will be complete sometime this year.
It features a full single player mode complete with its own story as well as a 4-player cooperative mode. I'ma grow me some green peppers and raise goats with a friend. :0

As usual there is a large cast of characters to meet and buy things from, character customization, lots of crops and animals, a house you can decorate, a farm you can lay out any way you want, mining and dungeon-crawling, and other stuff. It looks pretty neato.
Sounds almost too good to be true but whatever. I'll get it anyway, so if you guys sit this one out you'll get a first-impression or review from me.

Check his older videos for a bit more of a taste, though lots of things have surely changed.
In them he tries out the mines, multiplayer, and house decoration.

Things I'm looking forward to:
diggin
blowing up celdur
roughing it in a crappy weedy farmfield for a bit as we clear away the brush and trees for crop space
makin mad dosh and putting it toward and expensive project
more diggin
stealing crap from dungeons while diggin

I'm interested in any game (other than monster hunter) that has the possibility of blowing up Celdur.

Fun game, very comfy.
It's pretty much what you'd expect; harvest moon with some improvements and unique ideas.

Does the game give me the option of posting on facebook every time I milk a cow?

I wish I had $15 to burn on this.  Hey Sam, at least post me one of those sour grapes pictures!  ::)

That only works if you'd ever expressed a negative opinion about the game, dummy.

That Chitoes, such a "tortoise and the birds"

Does the game give me the option of posting on facebook every time I milk a cow?

Yes but you can only send it to your mother's middle aged friends.

This really adds to the HM formula, there's actually stuff to do in winter, wowie.
And being able to decide the layout of the farm is nice. Also allows you to focus more on what you like.

NPC's have barely any dialogue though, and the graphics are pretty ****.
Also the movement speed is really bad.

I like the graphics from what I have seen

Yeah, I mean it's not too bad. It doesn't pretend every interaction is unique but it does have unique Iinteractions

Workshop support? Harvest Moon was only missing a hardcore dating component.

If you want better dating with waifus and ****, play rune factory. 3 and 4 are probably the best ones from what people say.

And yeah, I think this game is modable to some extent, someone already made a movement speed patch and I know you can **** with the sprites.
Also, the graphics are mostly good, just some things have ****ed up perspectives and the portraits are hit or miss.
It's really bad in the intro, where you see your character sitting behind this giant ****ing computer screen with a mouse the size of his chest.

Yeah but I also want the payoff, too. Where's my HM H-Edition?

Make it yourself, there's obviously a gap in the market.

Make sure to include bestiality mode.

Alright, so, I decided to buy a game outside of what I would normally play, out of curiosity.

Eight hours later, here I am: running around town, caving, and waiting for my Summer crops to grow.

As someone who's never played Harvest Moon or anything very similar, this is a very fun game.

Old Harvest Moon and new Story of Seasons are the tops.

idk man, this is pretty decent. I have just started getting in to laying paths and my 9x9 grids and it's getting fun.

Got a bee hive up in this bitch. Got a whole spot fenced off for bee hives. Gonna have so much honey hunnies be huntin hard for me.

The worst part is that no farming simulator will ever be as good as the first or second one you play. @_@

Grow some flowers around your hives, don't harvest them until the last day of the month.
The flowers make the honey worth a ton more, so it's worth it.

More interesting crafting when?

Farm products just being a result of putting stuff in a barrel to amp up the price is laaaame.

OMG I love these new farm layouts. So fun having the forest. Way smaller and more condensed so less crap to worry about making look nice

I love this game, it hits me in all the right places. So good, seriously if anyone is on the fence it's good

What would you have them do instead? I'd much rather have the set and forget mechanic than having to press like W and S rapidly to churn butter or some ****

Yeah and then you'd probably just get a trainer that makes sure those clicks are done perfectly every time. Automation! It's like a super farm.

Nah I was thinking more like some sort of puzzle game where you have to combine flavours.

Flower Town.
