It's that time again! That time where we draw things. A lot of things. So many things.
I figured we'd use the same rules as last time, unless anyone wants to try anything different:
(and I am totally open to trying things different. Let me know!)
Welcome to the very first 'One Drawing A Day' Challenge.
What we want out of you is just one drawing each day for one month.
Post whatever you can come up with. That's your doodles, paintings, sketches. Whether you're using a mouse in paint, a pen tablet with photoshop, or a pencil-paper-scanner scheme. It's all good.
Pretty much the only rule is that your drawing has to have been created recently for the challenge itself. So no old stuff.
ADDENDUM: It'd be a good idea not to go nuts with the file size either. If you can't make it much smaller or sacrifice some of the image quality, post a thumbnail and link somewhere offsite for the full image.
In one month (thirty days after the challenge begins) we will count up everyone's stuff.
Those who have completed the challenge will receive a badge they can show off in their signature.
This is for practice and experience too. That's invaluable, and it goes a long way.
Experiment, challenge yourself to draw something out of your league, entertain the forum with your artistic wit.
Try not to fall too far behind. If you think you'll have problems keeping up, just try to give yourself five minutes out of the day to draw something, anything.
You may be allowed to catch up if you miss a day or two, but don't disappear for too long.
Please try to enter by at least the first week. Those that do join in a little late should post several drawings to catch yourself up to everyone else, one for each day you missed.
We aim to keep the challenges rolling. When this one ends, the next one starts up.
We might have a theme in one of the later months, possibly. We'll see how it all goes.
No sign-up necessary. Start whenever you're ready.
So get cracking, people!
EDIT: Credits to Flisch for the idea, conferring with GD and myself to come up with a solid method of bringing it to you guys.
I'm just the topic creator guy. :-*
Officially, unless there are any objections we'll start tomorrow (June 30th) and go for roughly 30 days (July 29th). And don't worry if you start late. You can join whenever you want.
I LOOK FORWARD TO DOING MORE OF THIS.
-
YES WE ARE STILL DOING THIS.

Day 1.
I drew whatever this is.
Future drawings will be better, probably.

I am posting this from my laptop instead of my ipad, which is why the file size is not gigantic and awful.
-
I've been working on my hand-eye coordination.
HA HA HA DO YOU GET IT?
Because I suck at drawing both of those things and was playing around with trying to suck less.
Also, in light of how this is going so far, here is a bonus drawing:

-
I wouldn't let that stop you. Keep going!
-
I will do it but I've been gone for a week...
-
Jump in whenever you feel ready!
And indeed I will keep going!

Drew a self portrait for some reason.
-
Sgore this is great! Definitely keep going!!
-
Thank you, Pat! Much appreciated!
You're certainly welcome to take part yourself if you'd like. As is anyone else who wants to!
If not, though, that is also okay!
-
Sgore you're doing ****in awesome dude. Keep up the good work.

GRAHHHH!
-
I drew things that rhymed.

...I may have run low on time today...
-
Why would you ever save something as a jpeg?

-
Slinky, that's great! I oughta respond with a Catch-22 character set before the challenge is over.
Anywho, I went to one of those restaurants where they let you draw on the table:
It's... not my best figure drawing. But I'm working on it!
-
You're looking good sgore :D
-
Thanks!
Working off a posemaniacs reference (http://www.posemaniacs.com/archives/400)tonight:

Drew somebody tiny because why not.
-
Is that the tiny lady from Dinosaur Comics?
-
That was not my intention, but I can see how you might consider that possibility.
Edit: Will be late tonight. My apologies.

Ew. Some of the ones in that last one aren't so good. Anyway. Scanner is borked. But here's some stuff for days that I missed.
-
30 second posemaniac poses!

And, to make up for yesterday, whatever this thing is!

Edit: Would you believe a power outage? Happened amid my drawing practice. Expect another double drawing post soon! (My apologies.)
-
Oh hey look more 30/45/60 second poses!

Also a drawing I made after picking a reference pose at random:

You're improving each day!
-
Thank you!
-
It's true! Sorry I haven't been posting regularly. However, I have been drawing every day. Force of habit.
-
Get ready for the magical adventures of whoever this guy is:
(maybe he solves mysteries, I don't know)
Book 1: Something happens and he probably has to do something about it, I guess.
Also, Slinky, feel free to post whatever you draw if you're comfortable doing so!

I sketched a hand, for some unclear reason!
-
That is a really great hand! But the wrist strikes me as kinda thin...
-
Thanks! And, yeah, in retrospect I'd agree about the wrist.
-
LET'S GIVE HIM A HAND!!
-
But he already has one. Try to keep up.
-
I don't know what this is, but I drew it and it terrifies me.

Ziggy played guitar, jamming good with Wierd and Gilly,
And The Spiders from Mars.
-
Was doing stand-up this evening. Will be late uploading. My apologies.
-
Did a minimalistic firework:

And then, for some reason, a tiny floating village inside a droplet:

And then, for some reason, a tiny floating village inside a droplet:
I think I have a children's book about that.
-
Heyyyy, so, I haven't been posting, but I have been drawing every day! So here's a bunch of stuff.

Okay! Sorry for the long-ass post. I'm done now.
-
So where's that ice-inkling picture?
-
I'm actually physically restraining myself from drawing it just to spite you.
-
Yes, let the hate flow through you.
-
Slinky, you are doing awesome work!
I only did some very minor sketching today:
I want to do more work with expression.
Expect a real drawing ahead soon!
-
Your work is looking better and better, as well, sgore ^-^
More drawings!
That's that girl I've been drawing a lot. She's pretty...
Hand practice! I'm good with hands already I think but you've always gotta practice.
Miscellaneous.

A scene from a story my friend wrote. :)

Thanks! Yours rocks!
More pose practice:

And then this guy:
Edit: I got behind cause of work! I'm gonna have 3 drawings tomorrow to make up for it.
Edit 2: Make that 4 drawings on Monday.
Edit 3: Make that 5 on Tuesday. I'm terribly sorry. I've had a really weird handful of days.
-
SGORE YOU'RE FALLING BEHIND. It's fine, I'm falling behind too. :D
(http://i.imgur.com/kqNfBdy.jpg)
That's a sketch from another story!
I dunno if y'all have noticed but I can't draw wrists.
My scanner is really on its last legs so you can see where some stuff got messed up. I did draw something for each of these days but I can't scan anymore cause the thing is falling apart :/
-
I notice you like drawing Doctor Whos. You should draw the new one, Peter Capaldi.
-
I do like to do that. Mostly because Matt Smith's face is this terrifying abnormal shape that makes it interesting to draw.
Alright, so, Capaldi, eh? I can give 12 a shot.
-
I AM INDEED FALLING BEHIND. My apologies.
BTW nice work Slinky!
Also this:
Expect more this evening.
