So that's what the monsters look li-  Is that GLaDOS!?!?  Holy **** rocket punch.

I'm okay with this.

Yeah, looks fun.  Though my problem with giant mechs in a setting like this is that there has to be a more effective weapons system.  So long as they try those first, then bring out the giant robots, I'll be okay with it.

Yeah what the hell.

Thats not like, just something that sounds like GLaDOS. Thats clearly Ellen Mclain with basically identical voice filters and stuff.

Weird.

Apparently this has been known for a while. (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/120087-Guillermo-del-Toro-Has-GlaDOS-On-Board-for-Sci-Fi-Movie)

I can only assume that asking Valve's permission places this in an alternate timeline where the Combine use Kaiju.

This looks like the movie started as "how can we make a movie where giant robots fight giant monsters" and then worked backwards.

I somehow doubt the plot will be that great, but the visual effects will be ballin'.

I hope to see it.

Having Glados in the movie will only be worth it if she keeps her passive/agressive attitude.

Meanwhile, in the future:

Turns out it's a good movie! You should go see it it sadly needs all the help it can get at the box office.

It was a really fun movie!  It was kind of nice to see a movie that's exactly what I'm expecting.

For a movie about robots punching monsters, it's not bad.
