Looks like another great movie.

Looks like they are really upping the stakes.

How is Robert Downey Jr going to win against a villain who doesn't just fight him in a suit of power armour in the last 15 minutes of the film?

Also Sir Bendarin's accent is weird. Its like Agent Smith took elocution lessons.

Why are we not talking about this?:

Why is this entire conversation right now not about this giant stuffed rabbit and the hilariously adorable mysteries it holds?

Oh man, I've noticed that literally every time I've watched that trailer.

So tantalising.

Oh, so hey...

This movie was pretty good. My favorite part was the end credits! Seriously! They were great.

I know right!

If anyone wants to go see it, there IS a post credits sequence but its not a teaser for another movie, so if you need the toilet really badly just go and watch it on youtube.

Truth.

And yeah, Sam. You can tell someone had a crapload of fun putting that bit together.

The credits were almost Tarantinoesq.

I thought the movie was okay, there seemed to be a real lack of Iron Man, though. Not to mention the few plot holes such as Tony having no defenses set up around his house, the fact his armor got from TN to FL in 1 minute but CA to TN in 8 hours, Pepper never really being in danger, the fact the super soldier can survive a vaporizing explosion but not a blast through the chest, the fact the main villain can survive a concentrated explosion but not a similair, weaker one a few moments later.

I gave it a C+ on my immediate reaction. I still think it's about that level since I got bored while watching it; had some good funny moments though and Don Cheadle's scenes were great though he needed to be in the movie more.

It was definitely a sloppier movie than the others. Lots more weird plot holes and occurrences.

The one which bugged me the most was that he spends half the movie charging the Mk 42 and is even seen with his signature car battery in hand from the first movie. During that entire span of time Tony had a miniature Arc Reactor in his chest and 41 other Iron Man suits that appear to be perfectly operable, each with their own power supply. So... WAT?

The second movie is still the worst in the (really good) series and the first is still the best.

I did catch that part. Jarvis did notify Tony that the crane work of the debris over his house was cleared. He couldn't access his other 41 suits because they were trapped under concrete until they could clear it.

I dunno... I feel like that's a very lame justification on their part. There are dozens of arc reactor-powered suits there that represent improvements and modifications of suits we have already seen to be stupidly strong. Not to mention the freaking Hulkbuster exosuit, which is proven to be able to stop the Hulk. I mean I guess I appreciate them at least trying to explain it but it is a very poor explanation.

The Hulkbuster, dude... come on.

New paint job. Doesn't want them scratched, not yet.

That reminds me, some friends and I were wondering:

Now that Tony and Bruce are Science Bros, is the Hulk capable of a friendly spar with the Hulk Buster?

He better be.

Also...

The Mandarin's reveal caught me totally off guard, but I hadn't been closely following the movie before having seen it.

I finally got around watching it today and thought it was a bad movie. Am I the only person who likes 2 the best? 2>1>3 Truth Bomb!

I thought they were all great! I thoroughly enjoyed all the movies.

I agree with Gec. *explodes*

But if I had to judge, the second movie was the weakest of the series. They totally botched the villain up and wasted a good opportunity. Too much focus on the pencil neck asshat will ruin your movie.

I liked them all, but then again, I thought the Hulk movie was okay. So I have very low standards.

I just got around to watching this. I liked it, but didn't really understand why ponytail guy decided to become a terrorist. Was it to get back at Tony? Was it a ploy to push his idealized superhuman idea on the species?

Um, well, the initial and main reason for the 'terrorist attacks' was to cover up the embarrassing (and deadly) failures of the Extremis program. Then Killian just got power mad and decided he liked being a terrorist so he pushed it too far.
